- Only one year after his film debut as an actor Viktor Tourjansky realised his first movie as a director with "Simfoniya syubvi i smerti" (1914).
- He was able to continue his film career after the war.
- After the October revolution Viktor Tourjansky could not stay in Russia any longer and he went to Paris where he not only was able to continue his film career as an actor but also as a director.
- His son, Victor Tourjansky, was also successful in the Motion Picture Industry.
