Doriana Otto Kebedzhieva was born on July 4, 1954 in Sofia, Bulgaria. She have graduated from 39th gymnasium in Sofia at 1972. Later she have passed a two year round course for Crafts and applied Arts. At 1978 she have started working at Boyana Film Studios (Studio for Feature Movies) as Second Costume Designer. Her first assignment was in the famous historical feature movie "Notes on Bulgarian Uprising" shot in few episodes between 1978-1980, with directors Borislav Sharaliev, Georgi Branev, Mariya Ruseva and Veselin Branev. Following are the feature movies: "Measure according to Measure"- 1980-1981, directed by Georgi Djulgerov; "Konstantin-Kiril Philosopher" - 1981-1982, directed by Gueorgui Stoyanov. During those days she went through the guidance and influence of remarkable personalities and creators such as: Maria Sotirova, Vileta Yovcheva, Georgi Todorov - Jozi, Boris Neshev. In 1982 she have been assigned with her first job as Costume Designer at the feature movie "Balance", director Lyudmil Kirkov. Following are the movies: "Friday Night", directed by Lyudmil Kirkov, "Border", directed by Iliian Simeonov and Hristian Nochev, "The Black Swallow", "Lady Zee", and "Buffer zone", directed by Georgi Djulgerov, "Christmas Tree upside down", directed by Ivan Tscherkelov and Vasil Zhivkov, "Crayfish", directed by Ivan Tscherkelov, "Warden of the Dead", directed by Ilian Simeonov, "Forgive Us", directed by Vladislav Ikonomov, "Insomnia", directed by Radoslav Camburov. For the movies "The Black Swallow" and "Warden of the Dead", she was nominated in the category Costume Designer from the Union of the Bulgarian Filmmakers. For the feature movie "Crayfish", the nomination was from the National Film Academy. During all those years she had the chance to work in the Bulgarian team, in productions such as: "Est Ouest", directed by Regis Wargnier, "The Profession of Arms", directed by Ermanno Olmi, "When Nietzsche Wept", directed by Pinchas Perry, "Papa Giovanni", directed by Giorgio Capitani, "Soraya", directed by Lodovico Gasparini, "Hidden Children", directed by Leone Pompucci, "Icon", the first movie for Hallmark Channel, shot in Bulgaria, "Spartacus", directed by Robert Dornhelm, "Vercingétorix/The Gaul", directed by Jacques Dorfmann, "King of Belgians", directed by Jessica Woodworth and Peter Brosens. As a second Costume Designer or props, she have been part of the teams in the following movies: "Echelons", directed by Borislav Punchev, "Madam Bovary from Sliven", directed by Emil Tzanev, "Live Dangerously", directed by Nataliya Piskova, written by Irina Aktasheva, "Oh, My Lord, Where Art Thee?", directed by Krasimir Spassov, "Sulamit", directed by Christo Christov. She worked as Assistant Costume Designer in the following theatrical performances: "The Horse" and "Dragon's Love", directed by Vili Tsankov.
