Peter Wells might not have been a fan of Guy Fieri's new Times Square restaurant, but that didn't stop the New York Times from hosting a party at the establishment the same day that Wells' scathing review ran.
Dr. Phil let the news slip when he visited "Today" Thursday (Nov. 15). "Today" has brought on a panel of commentators, which included Phil, to discuss the Times' review, and he said, "by the way, last night, they hosted -- the New York Times hosted a 160-person party at that restaurant."
Fox News put in a call over to the newspaper, and a spokesperson for the New York Times confirmed that there had been a party at Guy's American Kitchen and Bar on Nov. 14.
"The New York Times ad sales department hosted an event for clients last night at Guy Fieri's restaurant. The event was planned two months ago," Danielle Rhoades Ha wrote in an e-mail.

The New York Times might not have been a big fan of Guy Fieri's new Times Square restaurant, Guy's American Kitchen and Bar, but the Food Network personality thinks reviewer Peter Wells took his scathing takedown of the establishment a bit too far. Even so, Fieri says he won't be cancelling his subscription to the paper any time soon.
"I've read reviews. There's good and there's bad in the restaurant business," Fieri says on "Today." "That one went overboard."
Fieri admits that the restaurant isn't "perfect right now," but added that he put his "heart and soul into it." While he feels some people "see me as a TV guy," Fieri sees himself as a chef first and things opinions on Guy's American Kitchen and Bar will change as time passes and the restaurant gets into the swing of things.
As for Wells, Fieri seems to think that the...

New York Times food critic Peter Wells did not enjoy his experience at Guy Fieri's new Times Square restaurant, Guy's American Kitchen and Bar. In fact, he hated the entire meal -- and the dishes that never arrived to his table -- so much that he wrote a very, very harsh review on the restaurant that poses an array of increasingly scatching questions to the "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" host who created the establishment.
"Guy Fieri, have you eaten at your new restaurant in Times Square?" Wells writes. "Have you pulled up one of the 500 seats at Guy's American Kitchen & Bar and ordered a meal? Did you eat the food? Did it live up to your expectations? Did panic grip your soul as you stared into the whirling hypno wheel of the menu, where adjectives and nouns spin in a crazy vortex?"
He continues later, "When you cruise around...

When J.J. Abrams' Star Trek sequel starts filming next month, it will do so without Benicio Del Toro, who was sought after to play the film's villain. After undergoing negotiations for the part last month, the deal fell apart a few days ago when monetary issues couldn't be settled. But the question still remains: which character did Del Toro walk away from? When his name initially came up, there was speculation that Khan, made famous in original series film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, would be the villain in the new film. J.J. Abrams has denied this rumor, although Vulture claims to have "a highly placed source" which states that Khan will indeed be the film's antagonist. The site postulates that Abrams has taken a cue from Zack Snyder's Superman reboot when the director said that Zod would not appear in the film only to later...
