Arnold Schwarzenegger, the famous Hollywood action star, has a net worth of $400 million. However, some risky decisions may have affected his wealth.
For instance, take the movie Kindergarten Cop. Even though the film was a huge success, according to the former-bodybuilder, it could have earned $25 million more.
Kindergarten Cop (1990)
Kindergarten Cop follows the story of John Kimble, a tough cop played by Schwarzenegger. In the movie, Kimble goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher to track down the ex-wife and son of a dangerous drug lord, who are in hiding.
Suggested“We’ll just cut her out”: James Cameron Sent a Threat Through Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Agent to Get Sigourney Weaver Back For Aliens’ Sequel
Its legacy is a complex one. While it did well financially, it also stirred up discussions about what’s appropriate for children in movies. While some people enjoyed its humor, others were concerned about the level of violence it portrayed.

Michael Douglas and the cast of Franklin touched down in Cannes today with a message. Speaking to press ahead of the world premiere screening of the series at Canneseries on Wednesday evening, the actor said the Apple TV+ period drama is a great reminder of “how fragile democracy is and how generous France was.”
The series was entirely filmed in France, and Douglas spoke about returning to the country to launch the show before it’s bow on Apple TV+ on April 12. “It’s coals to Newcastle – this is where our whole project is based: It is the story of Benjamin Franklin coming to France to save America.”
The star, a French speaker and regular at the Cannes Film Festival, added: “The least we could do was come back and say, ‘Thank you, France – thank you first for saving America. [We are] reminding everyone of that story and role France played – and...

Arnold Schwarzenegger has provided an update to fans after undergoing open-heart surgery, offering some encouragement that he won’t be away from business for too long. The 76-year-old actor and former Governor of California shared a photograph from recovery, including a sight gag about his new pacemaker, depicted as a cartoon-esque time bomb.
“I’ve gotten so many kind messages from all over the world, but a lot of people have asked if my pacemaker will cause any problems with ‘Fubar’ Season 2. Absolutely not,” Schwarzenegger wrote in a post Thursday afternoon. “I will be ready to film in April and you can only see it if you’re really looking for it.”

From winning Mr. Olympia multiple times to becoming one of Hollywood’s biggest action stars, Arnold Schwarzenegger has done it all. While the Austrian Oak has made his presence felt in some of the biggest blockbusters, the Terminator series cemented his place as one of Hollywood’s leading superstars.

While the bodybuilding champion was the bonafide talisman of the James Cameron films, he forged an excellent partnership with his co-star Linda Hamilton who played a pivotal role as Sarah Connor in the Terminator series. But Schwarzenegger was surprised to hear from his colleague that she was initially reluctant to pair up with him due to certain preconceived notions that she had about films and the actor.

How did the man who is best known for his portrayal of a cybernetic assassin in The Terminator become the governor of the state of California? What made him able to go from bodybuilding to acting, and from Hollywood to working in public service? Rewinding even further, what made him decide to leave his birthplace of Austria and relocate to the United States of America?
Well, you can get quick answers to these questions by reading Schwarzenegger’s book, Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life (2023), which is published by Penguin Random House. In the book, the actor discusses how his own values and beliefs were influenced by his father.

Mark L. Lester's ultra-violent 1985 actioner "Commando" is entertainingly ridiculous and ridiculously entertaining. Few films of the era reflect on the ultra-violent military fantasies of Reagan's America better than "Commando," an irony to be sure, as it stars a massive Austrian actor. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a former Special Forces Colonel named John Matrix who is attempting to live a quiet life with his sweet daughter Jenny (Alyssa Milano). When Jenny is kidnapped by a vengeful villain played by Dan Hedaya, it gives John the moral license to murder about a thousand people in a violent quest to rescue her. John Matrix shoots, explodes, cuts, stabs, and buzzsaw-frisbees his way through Hedaya's minions without a scratch, a military superman with untouchable skill and an unslaked bloodlust.
The violence in "Commando" is horrifying and spectacular. Looking over the film's parental advisory on IMDb may sell the film better than any conventional advertisement.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has dropped a few anecdotes from his long career as an action movie star in his new book, Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life. The stories won’t prompt anyone to run out for acting lessons.
Among them: the time he bit a dead vulture.
The incident happened during his Conan the Barbarian filming.
Schwarzenegger recalls having to bite a dead vulture several times for the scene in which Conan is tied to a tree.
“I bit a real, dead vulture that required I wash my mouth out with alcohol after each take,” he writes.
That wasn’t the only hardship.
“On one of the first days of filming, I tore a gash on my back that required forty stitches.
Schwarzenegger was pushed to do his own stunts because of the lack of suitable doubles.

The word is all over town. After leading SAG-AFTRA to an historic new deal with the Hollywood studios, Fran Drescher has leverage, rediscovered fame and momentum.
Could she use all that to transition into a political career?
“This has been a great launching pad for her. So it wouldn’t be unusual for her to try to make that leap,” said Jorge Flores, a Los Angeles-based political consultant who has run campaigns for Congress and state offices.
“Certainly she has raised her profile significantly, and has developed a base with certain constituencies across labor,” he noted. “I could see her potentially running for Congress on the sort of issues that she’s been dealing with in SAG-AFTRA. Macro issues as far as cost of living, equity issues, is where I think her platform would be aligned with a member of Congress.”

Los Angeles, Nov 8 (Ians) Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger has shut down the idea of becoming Chancellor of Austria.
The 76-year-old actor became Governor of California from 2003 to 2011, and although he would have loved the chance to become President of the US, this is not possible due to being from Austria.
Speaking on ‘The Howard Stern Show’, he said: “I do my things – I do my books, I try to make life better for people. I like to kind of improve the environment situation, to make people come together – Democrats and Republicans – and to fight pollution. To protect democracy, to make sure that people have the right to vote everywhere.”
He continued, “So many people come up to me and go, ‘Oh, I wish you could be our president’ or something like that. So then of course you think about it. There are so many people out there in America who need help,...

Danny DeVito and his 'Twins' co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger have a "little project" in the pipeline. The 'Matilda' actor, 78, and the action legend, 76, portrayed fraternal twin brothers separated at birth in the 1988 comedy, and whilst a sequel is no longer said to be on the cards, DeVito can't wait to work with the 'Terminator' star again on their secret separate project.Schwarzenegger couldn't commit to 'Twins 2' because he became Governor of California in 2003.DeVito quipped in an interview with GQ: "We missed ‘Twins 2,' because he became governor - which, he should have done ‘Twins 2' instead of becoming Governor. Arnold Schwarzenegger continues to make the rounds to promote his new book, Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life. His book, plus the latest Netflix documentary, Arnold, pays tribute to the former Mr. Universe’s never-ending drive that landed him bodybuilding championships, made him the king of the box office, and, of course, got him elected as Governor of California. While Demolition Man made a semi-prophetic joke about Schwarzenegger becoming a politician, the joke would involve the Terminator actor amending the constitution in order to become president.
Variety reports that the former Conan the Barbarian would talk about his political introspective in an interview with the BBC. “I feel like I would make a great president. Everything I’ve accomplished was because of America,” Schwarzenegger stated. Although the star feels very commonplace now, the Arnold documentary revealed every perceived shortcoming that Schwarzenegger had to overcome when people counted him out. His...

Steve Garvey, the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres all star in the 1970s and 80s, announced a bid for the U.S. Senate seat that was held by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-ca), who died last month.
Garvey is running for the Republican nomination in a state that has been dominated by Democrats, said in an introductory video that he is running a “common sense campaign.”
His launch video also is heavy in images from his baseball stardom, as he tells viewers, “Over 50 years ago I came to California for the first time.”
“I never played for Democrats or Republicans or independents,” he said. “I played for all of you.”
Garvey will compete in an open primary next March, when the top two finishers will go on to the November general election. State voter registration leans heavily Democratic, making up nearly 47%, according to Public Policy Institute of California. Given that dominance,...

If you go to the multiplex, it’s not surprising that some sort of sequel to a previous film will be playing. Now, studios consider IP (Intellectual Property) as the big selling point rather than well-crafted storylines or impressive visuals. This alone will pull people into the theater. If the movie happens to have the other two things, then great. This wasn’t always the case.
There was a time when making a sequel was looked at as a hack idea, and most studios passed on the idea. That’s a shame, as there are a lot of great classic movies that deserve a sequel. Even some films that have come out when sequels were popular still missed getting another chance at the big screen. Which movies deserved a sequel?

According to the Constitution, Arnold Schwarzenegger can’t run for US President, but the former California governor believes he could win the 2024 election if he was eligible.
The Austria-born action movie star said as much during a recent episode of CNN’s Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? series, in which the host asked Schwarzenegger if he would run for president should he have eligibility.

He continued, “Who is here today that people say okay, he’s not too old or he’s not too this or too that, or is that because it’s now a question about who do you vote against then who do you vote for?...

Netflix wants audiences to know they’re serious about getting into the action game. And what better way to prove it than to appoint one of the biggest names in action movie history, and one of the longest actor names in general, as the Chief Action Officer of the platform. A new video released by Netflix is promoting the upcoming slate of action titles that the streamer is eager to blow your socks off with. And this video is hosted by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger as he starts his first day at his new position with the company.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was famous for being the first to use a military Humvee as a commercial civilian vehicle and this video quite appropriately begins with the former Governor of California crushing a Mercedes Benz with a tank. Was there a stunt driver for this shot? Hell no. It was Arnold-freakin’-Schwarzenegger.

Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn’t make the decisions when it comes to everything he’s involved with work-wise.
Schwarzenegger chatted to Et Canada’s Carlos Bustamante alongside his “Fubar” co-star Monica Barbaro while promoting their new series.
A synopsis reads, “A CIA operative on the verge of retirement discovers a family secret and is forced to go back into the field for one last job.”

As Bustamante mentioned Schwarzenegger also had a three-part docuseries on the way with Netflix, the actor said of how he knew now was the right time to release a doc about his life and career: “You know, I don’t know… I don’t make the decision, nor do I make the decision that the documentary is being made about me in the first place.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been a significant cultural force in Hollywood for more than 40 years, taking time out to launch a political career and generally conquer the world during that time. After becoming arguably the greatest bodybuilder to ever do it, Arnie parlayed his bodybuilding fame into Hollywood stardom, becoming one of the biggest action stars in the industry. Not bad for a guy who started out driving tanks in the Austrian army.
Now, Netflix will tell the man's incredible life story in a three-part documentary series that promises to chart Schwarzenegger's journey "from rural Austria to the highest echelons of the American dream."
The streamer has released a trailer for "Arnold," which is set to debut next month and promises to unveil previously unseen footage of the Austrian Oak, alongside candid interviews with Schwarzenegger and various friends. 1995 – it was the best of times; it was the worst of times. While the peak era of action movies was beginning to wane, multiplexes were still packed with decent action films, and icons like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone were still packing them in. Meanwhile, second-tier action heroes like Steven Seagal and Jean-Claude Van Damme still tried to punch their way onto the A-list. It would never quite happen for those two, with both starring in direct-to-video movies by the decade’s end. But 1995 was arguably the last year in the nineties when Stallone and Schwarzenegger were at the top of their game. Schwarzenegger’s career would only really falter at the end of the decade, with him never really able to recapture his former box office glory following his run as the Governor of California. Stallone would be luckier, with him able to reinvent himself in the mid-2000s...

Had Warner Bros. given Joel Schumacher an extra year to develop and shoot "Batman & Robin," it's reasonable to expect that he would've turned around another agreeably campy lark on par with "Batman Forever;" ergo, from the fans' perspective, it's probably a blessing that the studio rushed him from 1996's "A Time to Kill" straight into his second Dark Knight yarn. Had Schumacher been granted more time to refine the film with screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, he might've stuck with the franchise — which, spinning this alternate timeline forward, could've knocked George Clooney out of Steven Soderbergh's "Out of Sight" and obviated the need for Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins." A series-hobbling Bat-bomb is a more than acceptable tradeoff here.
There were, however, certain elements of "Batman & Robin" that were always going to fall flat, most notably the casting of Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze. Had Warner Bros. been smart...

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-ca) said Tuesday that she will not seek re-election in 2024, confirming speculation that she would forgo another run.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-ca) and Rep. Katie Porter (D-ca) had already entered the race, anticipating Feinstein’s decision to retire.
“I am announcing today I will not run for reelection in 2024 but intend to accomplish as much for California as I can through the end of next year when my term ends,” Feinstein said. “Even with a divided Congress, we can still pass bills that will improve lives.”
“Each of us was sent here to solve problems. That’s what I’ve done for the last 30 years, and that’s what I plan to do for the next two years. My thanks to the people of California for allowing me to serve them.”
Feinstein, 89, has served in the Senate since 1992, when she became the state’s first woman senator.

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently made a visit to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.
He signed the museum’s official guestbook with his catchphrase from The Terminator films: “I’ll be back.”
The museum later clarified that he was simply writing this to promise a longer visit later, when some took issue with the phrasing after they shared it online.
This visit was planned to be relatively short. The inscription was meant to be a promise to return for another and more indepth visit.

This visit was part of Schwarzenegger’s recent honor he received, which was the Fighting Hatred Award from the Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation.
The actor, bodybuilder and ex Governor of California, has been open about his childhood growing up in Nazi-occupied Austria. He has been outspoken about resisting fascism in Europe.

Arnold Schwarzenegger won’t be making a run for a Senate seat, but he’s not giving up on politics all together.
The former governor of California, 69, took to social media Sunday to refute speculation that he is considering re-entering the political arena.
“I’m deeply flattered by all of the people who have approached me about running for Senate, but my mission right now is to bring sanity to Washington through redistricting reform like we passed here in California,” the actor wrote. “Gerrymandering has completely broken our political system and I believe my best platform to help repair it is from the outside,...

Pledging an end to special-interest politics and then acting on several campaign pledges, Arnold Schwarzenegger assumed his newest role as the 38th governor of California after being sworn in Monday. "My fellow citizens: Today is a new day in California," said Schwarzenegger, speaking outside the California State Capitol in Sacramento. "I did not seek this office to do things the way they've always been done. What I care about is restoring your trust in your government." On hand for the swearing-in ceremony were more than 7,000 guests, a worldwide audience provided by a platoon of print and television reporters and several former California governors, including Republicans Pete Wilson and George Deukmejian and Democrats Jerry Brown and outgoing Gov. Gray Davis. Also present onstage were Schwarzenegger's wife, Maria Shriver, as well as their four children -- Katherine, Christina, Patrick and Christopher.

To kick-start his unexpected and highly accelerated campaign for California's top job, Arnold Schwarzenegger has assembled a team of seasoned political operatives, including some of the strategists who helped Pete Wilson get elected to two terms as the state's governor in the 1990s. Schwarzenegger's top political advisers -- George Gorton, Richard Dresner and Joe Shumate -- even helped rescue former Russian president Boris Yeltsin from what seemed like certain defeat in his 1996 re-election campaign, a miraculous political turnaround that will be chronicled in the upcoming Showtime telefilm Spinning Boris. Indeed, the trio's experience in the chaotic world of post-Soviet era Russian politics -- where they labored under KGB-like secrecy at Yeltsin's high-security private hotel to orchestrate polls, focus groups and advertisements -- will probably serve them well as they scramble to convince California voters in less than two months that Schwarzenegger is a the best choice to run the state. "They can probably finish each other's sentences," said Ken Khachigian, a state GOP veteran who was campaign manager for Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., until Issa withdrew last week from the Oct. 7 recall election that he sparked by funding the signature-gathering drive.
