David Bowie has a stage show featuring his music called Lazarus. However, the musical was almost very different from its final form. Reportedly, it was almost a tribute to Bob Dylan as David Bowie wanted the music to consist of fake songs written by the “Blowin’ in the Wind” singer.

Lazarus is a jukebox musical featuring David Bowie’s music. The show is a spiritual sequel to the movie The Man Who Fell to Earth, which starred Bowie. The musical continues the story of Thomas Newton, a humanoid alien stuck on Earth. Lazarus premiered off-Broadway in 2015, a few months before Bowie’s death.
During the making of Lazarus, Bowie had a different idea than using his music. In an interview with GQ, novelist Michael Cunningham shared what Bowie originally envisioned for the show.

Watch out, Vecna. Coldplay jumped on trend last night during their six-night run at London’s Wembley Stadium to cover Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill.” Joined by Steve Coogan, playing his character Alan Partridge, Jacob Collier, and Nicole Lawrence, the group also performed a version of upbeat Abba tune “Knowing Me, Knowing You.”

The Federal Government is evaluating more than than 300 submissions to the options paper review, which is designed to lead to a platform-neutral regulatory framework.
If Communications Minister Paul Fletcher and his Cabinet colleagues are persuaded by the majority of the views expressed in the responses which If has reported, a number of key reforms appear likely to be adopted.
“We’re pleased there’s broad support from the screen sector for constructive and positive change and urge the government to stick to its planned time frame to initiate reform in 2020,” Screen Producers Australia CEO Matt Deaner tells If.
There is a high level of support for the following measures, apart from dissenting voices from those with vested interests, primarily the SVOD services, Foxtel and commercial free-to-air (Fta) broadcasters.

For Australia’s commercial free-to-air networks, arguably the biggest threat to losing eyeballs is not each other but the seemingly inexorable rise of streaming services led by Netflix, Stan, Disney+ and Amazon.
However executives at the Seven, Nine and 10 Networks are confident their hefty investment in broad slates of unique Australian programming and their increasingly popular BVoD services will retain viewers.
“The 8.30 pm-9 pm drama audiences are certainly under attack from streaming competition,” Angus Ross, Seven’s director of network programming, tells If.
“We concentrate investment in news, sport, Home and Away and year-round 7.30 pm stripped programming – all uniquely Australian content that differentiates us from the offerings of the SVoD players. All programming is also available on our 7plus service, so viewers can watch at any time.”

Warning: this post contains spoilers about the Riverdale season three finale.
Whew! Riverdale is known for its twists and turns, but they really threw us for a loop during the season three finale. While the episode ends with a flash-forward and a major cliffhanger, one of the most talked about moments has to be the revelation that Betty and Jughead's half-brother is actually alive. That's right, we finally come face-to-face with the real Charles.
After members of The Farm mysteriously disappear (minus Kevin), an FBI agent comes knocking on Jughead's door. As he sits down with Jughead and Betty in the living room, he explains that Alice is actually an FBI informant and "it's vital" that they find her Asap. As he reveals that he'll be staying in Riverdale a little longer to sort this whole thing out, Betty stops him and asks why he looks so familiar. The FBI...

Easter Sunday is a day to celebrate life, and NBC is doing its part by bringing Jesus to life on the small screen — well, live on the small screen, anyhow. “Jesus Christ Superstar” — the ’70s rock opera that’s dominated Broadway, toured the world, and even became a movie in 1973 — is being reimagined with John Legend in the lead role of our Lord and savior.
Billed as a staged concert, the production will air live from the Marcy Armory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, N.Y., and NBC has recruited an all-star crew to bring the beloved music to life. David Leveaux (“Nine”) is directing alongside Emmy Award-winning live television director and executive producer Alex Rudzinski (“Hairspray Live!”), Emmy- and Tony Award-winning costumer designer Paul Tazewell (“The Wiz Live!”), and the musical director of the “Jesus Christ Superstar” world arena tour, Nigel Wright.

Somewhere in Moscow in 1984, 29-year-old computer engineer Alexey Pajitnov sat at his work station, deep within a building called the Soviet Academy of Sciences. Here, in front of his hulking computer, an Elektronika 60, Pajitnov was working on one of his latest programs. If you’d been one of his superiors, Pajitnov would have told you that he was examining its code for bugs. But in reality, he was addicted.
Had you taken a look over Pajitnov’s shoulder at what he was working on back then, it’s likely you wouldn’t have thought much of it in any case. Just a few characters juddering down a screen - the Elektronika being such a crude computer that it could only display text. But what the young programmer had in front of him was the early...
