Since January has given us an extra week, we decided to do a special Kickstarter episode! Sometimes there are amazing comic book creators who’s fantastic ideas could use a bit of help from fans in order to get us a finished book. We are featuring two great writers who are starting Kickstarter campaigns to promote their titles. From the LRMOnline family we have Kat Kalamia and Omar Morales writer for “Cruzader: Agent of the Vatican” and Guinness World Record holder for the largest comic book published. Kat is promoting her title “Life Father, Like Daughter” and Omar talks about the “Not Forgotten” anthology he is working on. We then venture into our Top 5 independent comics and finish off with the books for the week!

When it comes to Image and Aftershock titles (for me at least), I tend to pick up the titles written by familiar writers that I have enjoyed in the past. Brian Buccellato is one of those writers for me. With as many zombie movies, shows and stories out in the world Jennifer and Brian gives us a new twist on the genre, because all though they crave flesh and blood, they are still “normal” people. The book takes place in the southeast region of the U.S. where in 1994 a category five hurricane devastated the area. It also awoke ancient disease-carrying mosquitos that had been hibernating underground, unleashing a very old strain of yellow fever. The Global Medicine Management (Gmm) rushed out a medicine called “Y-pak” to fight the disease. Like most untested vaccines it had a terrible side effect. It caused whoever took it to crave human flesh. The...

Justin & Jennifer Young eliminated from 'Amazing Race 19' in episode 7 tonight. Tonight's episode kicked off with scenes from last week's show when no one got eliminated due to it being a non-elimination leg of the race. However,Amani & Marcus did show up last,so they had to do a nasty speed bump obstacle. To start off, the teams had to head to the town of Salima. Laurence & Zac were told, a double u-turn was included in this race, meaning they could make another team do extra detour to screw up their game. Once the teams arrived at Salima, they faced a "Road Block." In the road block, they had to deliver a couple of dead fish by riding a bicycle to a particular location to get paid. Then they had to take the money back, and give it to some guy, to get their next clue. Meanwhile,Amani & Marcus faced...

For the first time in the history of The Amazing Race, a pair of Survivor winners will compete during the same season - as one team!
CBS announced this week that married couple Ethan Zohn (Survivor: Africa) and Jenna Morasca (Survivor: The Amazon) will compete against 10 other duos when this reality competition returns on September 25. Said the former, who battled Hodgkin’s lymphoma just a few months ago, to EW:
“Last year I was attached to a pump in complete isolation in a f-cking hospital room, and now I’m out traveling the world with the woman I love. Whatever happens, it’s gonna be okay. But if she screws up, I’m gonna kill her.”
The cast will be rounded out by Zac Sunderland (the youngest person to sail around the world solo), former NFL tight end Marcus Pollard and others. Details follow.

The Amazing Race has not been shy about having former CBS reality stars on the show. Boston Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich of Survivor fame played twice, while Big Brother’s Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd, as well as Alison Irwin (and her non-Big Brother boyfriend Donny) all have appeared on the program. But now, for the first time, two winners will team up to compete as Survivor: Africa champ Ethan Zohn and Survivor: The Amazon victor Jenna Morasca head up the cast for the show’s 19th installment (premiering Sept. 25 on CBS), which will also feature some new twists to the game.

Movie icon Gig Young's 1970 Best Supporting Actor Oscar is to return to his family following the death of the actor's agent. The award was bequeathed to Young's daughter Jennifer by agent Marty Baum after years of fighting between the two over the ownership of the statue, which Young won for his part in "They Shoot Horses Don't They?".
Jennifer Young asked Baum to give up the award in 1996, insisting the Oscar should rightly be in her possession - as she was Gig Young's only child. Baum, who obtained possession of the gong after his client's 1978 suicide, claimed he has had a right to possess and display the Oscar in his office.
Young took legal action against her father's agent and the matter was settled in 1997 when Baum agreed to bequeath the Oscar to Jennifer Young upon his death. Baum died on November 5. Young tells WENN, "This Oscar is...

Baum died on 5 November.
Young tells WENN, "This Oscar is something I have been waiting for for nearly two decades... It also feels like it was my daddy's wish for me to have his Oscar at this time. Marty said to me in our second meeting that I was at my father's exact age when he walked through his doors and signed him on the spot! Marty and I got along very well. I was able to see him several times before he passed away."
Jennifer Young is now working on a documentary and book about her famous father.
