Justin and Dan Hawkins have reportedly held talks about reforming rock band The Darkness. According to The Sun, the brothers are currently demoing new material in a Lowestoft studio. "If their stuff is liked by label staff they will attempt to reunite The Darkness," said a source. LONDON -- British glam rockers the Darkness (Justin Hawkins, Dan Hawkins, Frankie Poullain and Ed Graham) were named songwriters of the year, and Dido's "White Flag" was honored as international hit of the year Thursday at the 49th annual Ivor Novello Awards for British songwriters. The prize for "White Flag" went to writers Dido Armstrong, Rollo Armstrong and Rick Nowells, who were among the honorees celebrated at a lunchtime event at the Grosvenor House hotel. The Ivors are presented by the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters and the Performing Right Society. "Leave Right Now", written by Francis Eg White and recorded by Will Young, was named best song musically and lyrically.
