Back in March, we learned that playwright turned feature scribe Ana Nogueira had been tapped to pen the Teen Titans screenplay after impressing studio bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran with her work on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
Nogueira was quietly hired to pen a Supergirl movie for Warner Bros. when the studio was developing a Sasha Calle-led The Flash spin-off. The Scarlet Speedster’s solo outing was in post-production at the time but the project was scrapped when Gunn and Safran took charge of DC Studios and moved on from Walter Hamada’s planned Dceu slate.
DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn has just been asked on Threads about rumours Teen Titans will begin shooting in late 2024. The Superman helmer has yet to confirm the project is in development and responded with "No" when the question about that start date was put to him.

Automatons in Helldivers 2 have been known to bother the players, the citizens of Super Earth since the very beginning of the game. And they continue to be the most bothersome foes gamers have ever witnessed.
Helldivers 2
As the name suggests, Automatons are supposed to be mindless, bloodthirsty robots, that were coded by Cyborg for nothing but murder and violence. They are supposed to be machines with havoc and destruction being their ultimate task.

Ultron is one of the most nefarious and tricky foes the Avengers have had to deal with in the pages of Marvel Comics. However, the character was underutilized in his big-screen debut in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. The film’s climax sees the villainous AI disintegrated, leaving little room for Ultron’s return in future MCU projects.

However, one particular storyline from rivals DC Comics, featuring Cyborg could show the path for bringing back Ultron, especially amidst all the uncertainty revolving around the MCU’s plans involving Kang the Conqueror. Here is how Cyborg faced a grim fate in the comics because of his cybernetic parts, and how it could translate to Ultron’s MCU return.

Zack Snyder is polarizing with audiences, but the director has never received complaints from people he’s worked with, and they even remain passionately loyal to him. Snyder has been focused on his new space opera for Netflix, Rebel Moon, which will release its first chapter, A Child of Fire, on December 22. Coincidentally, the sci-fi epic is set to release the same day as Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which will be the concluding movie in the Dceu Snyderverse. The Hollywood Reporter‘s new cover story on Snyder has him reflect on his time at Warner Bros.
The Dceu’s bumpy road was mired by a lot of issues, but several stars in the shared universe have drawn a lot of negative attention in recent years. Three such stars under the microscope of the media — Ezra Miller, Amber Heard and Ray Fisher, worked with Snyder on his grand superhero team-up movie,...

Rogue is one of the best X-Men in the comics. However, most won’t know that because the live-action character was sidelined following the original film in 2000. Rogue got more character development than names like Cyborg or Storm. But considering she was deemed the most powerful mutant on the planet, it’s disappointing that not much came out of her strong debut. In fact, the world arc of her just wanting to touch someone felt forced. The idea itself wasn’t as bad as it is a traumatizing experience that she’s unable ever truly to feel love because of her powers. On...

This article contains major spoilers for The Flash.
As if it weren’t enough that The Flash brings back Michael Keaton to the role of Batman for the first time in over 30 years, the new, multiverse-spanning Warner Bros. superhero flick juggles a whole host of caped cameos. WB even spilled the beans on a few before the movie’s release. There’s of course Ben Affleck back as his own version of Batman for this Dceu swansong, with director Andy Muschietti also revealing recently that Nicolas Cage would finally get to play the Man of Steel in a nod to fans who still remember the days of Kevin Smith and Tim Burton’s Superman Lives.
But The Flash is hiding many more guest appearances throughout its jam-packed two-and-a-half-hour runtime — even beyond the cringey CG resurrections of George Reeves and Christopher Reeve as Superman as well as Adam West running through a zany ’60s Bat-adventure.

One of the major aspects that contemporary pop-culture movie franchises, which rely heavily on interconnected storytelling spanning multiple forms of content, need is coherent world-building that can hook regular viewers easily. Out of the two major comic-book-oriented movie franchises, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has learned the trick and capitalized on it properly from the get-go, but unfortunately, the counterpart of its rival franchise, the DC Extended Universe (Dceu), has time and again faced hurdles in its journey of expansive world-building and eventually reached rock bottom. With the release of the much-anticipated 13th movie of the franchise, The Flash, the Dceu will be officially terminated and make way for a new, more coherent DC Universe (Dcu) under James Gunn’s guidance. The movie itself is going to deal with multiple plotlines from the Dceu itself and also from other storylines that are not directly connected with it, and in order...

On Friday, June 16, an Ezra Miller movie called The Flash will finally play on cinema screens around the world. For Miller and members of the Warner Bros. Pictures team who were there in 2014 when the project was first announced, it is the culmination of nearly a decade of work, false starts, and the arduous process of seeing various directors and writers board and exit the production.
And yet, the actual atmosphere around the release seems relatively muted. Until the movie’s Los Angeles premiere earlier this week, Miller was conspicuously absent from all press days, leaving director Andy Muschietti and his sister/producer Barbara Muschietti, as well as stars Sasha Challe and Michael Shannon, to do all the interviews. Meanwhile, social media chatter seems to be as much concerned with the controversy surrounding Miller, as well as the film’s troubled production history, as it is with anything in the actual picture.

“The Flash” races into theaters this weekend, and it’s a lot of movie.
The superhero film promises to be a landmark in the genre by not only being something of a send-off for the “DC Extended Universe” of films but also serving as a reboot that makes way for the new “DC Universe” of films and TV shows. As if that wasn’t enough, “The Flash” is also bringing back some long-time fan favorites and providing a unique revisionist spin on the entire DC universe as we know it by bringing back Michael Keaton as Batman and retelling the events of “Man of Steel”.
After Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) travels back in time to prevent the death of his mother, the world he ends up in is unrecognizable from his own, and he’s forced to save it when a dangerous threat unexpectedly appears. It can seem like a...

Street Fighter is the brand that spring boarded the entire fighting game genre. While the first game fell under the radar, its sequel became an absolute phenomenon and inspired countless imitators and so many upgrades, sequels, and spinoffs. Afterwards, publisher Capcom released both a series of prequel games (Street Fighter Alpha) and a sequel game (Street Fighter III) to varying levels of success. And after a lengthy break, we finally got Street Fighter IV, which kickstarted a revival of the fighter genre that was followed by Street Fighter V.
Now we have Street Fighter 6, which takes the series to new heights with brand-new modes, mechanics, and other updates that are sure to influence the genre as a whole once again. And considering Capcom treated Street Fighter III like it was radioactive and gave it the Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift treatment by making every sequel a lead-up to it,...

Let me start by saying I am not now, nor have I ever been a fan of Rwby, an American anime series that has been chugging along since its debut in 2013. For the last few years, producer Rooster Teeth has managed to partner with DC Comics for crossovers between the warriors, trained and dedicated to protecting the world of Remnant from Grimms, actual monsters.
I suppose it was inevitable that the comics crossovers would eventually find their way to the animated world where Rwby enjoys its fame. So, released recently is Justice League x Rwby: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part One, available as a 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray/Digital HD combo pack from Warner Home Entertainment.
The World’s Greatest Super-Heroes are brought to Remnant to help the teen heroes save their world. Somehow, DC’s stalwarts wind up as teen versions of themselves, to better match the warriors. As a result,...

Before James Gunn defected from Marvel to make a coherent cinematic universe with Peter Safran, the DC Universe was defined by Zack Snyder. From his movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Snyder was charged with launching a cinematic universe built around members of the Justice League. And while most members did get a movie, there was a surprising omission: Batman, the most bankable character in the DC stable.
Sure, Ben Affleck‘s Batman was the co-lead of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and arguably the lead of both versions of Justice League. And yeah, he did get a cameo in Suicide Squad and will drop by in The Flash next month. But we never got a solo movie Batman movie starring Ben Affleck. There are very few comic-book movies that have gone through the development hell that The Flash has gone through over the past decade, but it seems as though fans will finally get to see their favorite scarlet speedster get his own standalone film. With the DC adaptation set to premiere in June, as well as two trailers being dropped with massive implications about what the movie will hold for DC’s future, it’s safe to say that fans are already counting down the minutes until they can race to the theaters to see it.
All of that being said, there is a huge question mark looming over the superhero movie that unfortunately won’t be answered for seemingly years to come. James Gunn, the new co-ceo of DC Studios and the man at the helm of the new Dcu, stated back in January that The Flash will be “resetting...

On the other hand, a renegade Conner took over Lexcorp and offered Sebastian a proposal to join his side, and the rest of the team got busy hitting upon a plan as to how they could stop May and Sebastian from summoning Trigon into the Earth realm. This Titans season 4 article contains spoilers.
With shows like Loki and movies like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Marvel has established itself as the source for multiverse stories in television and film. But comic book fans know that Marvel was relatively late to the multiverse game, having been beaten to the punch several decades earlier by the DC story “The Flash of Two Worlds.”
So it was more than a little satisfying to see Gar Logan aka Beast Boy take a trip through the Red that connects all of the DC worlds in the ninth episode of Titans fourth and final season, “Dude, Where’s My Gar.” As Gar (Ryan Potter) moves through the Red, we get glimpses of various other DC properties, including Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) of Stargirl, Swamp Thing (Derek Mears) from the short-lived 2019 series, as well as he and Cyborg’s animated counterparts from Teen Titans Go!.
