The live-action Titans series had tremendous potential, from its source material to the pedigrees of the talent bringing the heroes to television. Titans failed to work from the first episode to the last. Most of the storylines were drawn from Marv Wolfman and George Pérez’s seminal run from the early 1980s or the early issues from Geoff Johns and Mike McKone’s run in the 2000s. Both required a consistent tonality along with a budget to make the scope of the stories work.
In the fourth and final series, out now on disc from Warner Home Entertainment, the series tackled both Lex Luthor and Brother Blood. Either one could easily have been the Big Bad for these last dozen episodes, but they split the focus and,...

Black Widow‘s release delay (due to the Covid-19 pandemic shutting down movie theaters for less time than they really should have been) had a cascade effect, not just on the rest of the McU slate, but on the comics planned to capitalize on the film’s expected popularity in theaters. So when Black Widow made it back onto the slate for November, it was only a matter of time before the comics also showed back up.
Widowmakers: Red Guardian and Yelena Belova and Taskmaster are also coming in November. Widowmakers comes from Devin Grayson (one of Yelena’s creators) and artist Michele Bandini (X-Men: Gold). This story catches up with Yelena after she’s moved on from the idea that her destiny was to take over the Widow mantle (and well after she tried to kill her former Red Room alum). However, the past won’t let her move on,...

The not-shocking DC Universe hit is coming back for another run. Young Justice season 4 is on the way.
We did it!
After years of persistent fan outcry and the advent of the streampocalypse managed to squeeze a third season out of fan darling cartoon Young Justice, the show's run on the DC Universe streaming service was so successful that it got renewed for a fourth year. DC announced Young Justice season 4 at San Diego Comic Con 2019.
The show started in 2010 with a relatively restrained lineup - Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Miss Martian, Artemis and Superboy. Almost immediately it expanded to include a huge chunk of the DC universe, introducing Project Cadmus, a version of the Secret Society of Supervillains, and getting the Justice League lost in space. When it returned for season 2, they expanded the lineup tremendously and the scope with it - Earth was the focus...

Ever since Thanos showed up in the mid-credits of the first Avengers movie, there was one scenario that most comic book fans knew was going to one day happen: Captain America was going to at one point lift Thor’s hammer Mjolnir and bash Thanos’ stupid face with it. Until Hela broke Mjolnir in Thor: Ragnarok. Then we all went, “Oh, never mind, I guess,” and thought about what could have been.
