Who is Dante? A man obsessed with revenge who will do whatever it takes to destroy Dom and his family in Fast X. The new three-minute featurette focuses on Jason Momoa’s approach to playing a villain, something he hasn’t done in a decade, and his joy at joining the Fast and Furious franchise.
Returning franchise stars include Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Nathalie Emmanuel. Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, John Cena, Scott Eastwood, Oscar winner Helen Mirren, and Oscar winner Charlize Theron also reprise their roles for the 10th film of the saga.
Newbies to the F&f include Oscar winner Brie Larson as Tess, a rogue representative from the Agency; Alan Richtson (Reacher) as Aimes, the new head of the Agency who doesn’t hold the same fondness for Dom’s crew as his predecessor, Mr. Nobody; Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad...

Of course, you can’t expect Universal to let their CinemaCon presentation come to an end without a look at the Fast Saga. Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, and Tyrese took the stage to run though the previous nine movies of the franchise, before introducing Vin Diesel. After boasting that the Fast & Furious franchise is the longest running movie franchise of all time (insert pause for dramatic effect) with the same actors, Diesel went off script, saying “I should be reading the teleprompter… you guys don’t give a shit about the teleprompter.” He then announced that Fast X – Part 2 will hit theaters in 2025 and shared some new footage from Fast X.
The trailer included a lot of footage from the entire franchise as well as Alan Ritchson’s character giving Brie Larson a rundown on the Fast crew, saying that the days where one man behind the...

The grand finale of the Fast & Furious franchise is starting to come together. Following the news that Fast X director Louis Leterrier would return to helm Fast & Furious 11, Deadline reports that Christina Hodson (The Flash) and Oren Uziel (The Cloverfield Paradox) have been tapped to write the script for the finale.
Fast X was penned by Dan Mazeau and Justin Lin based on a story Mazeau and Lin developed with Zach Dean. Neither Christina Hodson nor Oren Uziel has worked on the Fast & Furious franchise before, but Universal wanted some “new voices” for the finale. We should have a better idea of what to expect from Fast & Furious 11 once Fast X is released as Michelle Rodriguez has teased that the upcoming movie will end on a cliffhanger.

The "Fast & Furious" franchise is coming back next month with what is being billed as the beginning of the end, in the form of "Fast X." The tenth overall film in the main series is the penultimate adventure for Vin Diesel's Dom Toretto and his fast family. This time, they'll be going up against Jason Momoa's new villain, Dante Reyes, who has ties to "Fast Five." A cool ride is still central to the DNA of "Fast" even with its globetrotting, action-heavy nature these days, and Momoa didn't miss the opportunity to secure himself a sweet ride in taking on the role.
As we've seen in the extremely wild trailers for the film, Momoa rides a very unique-looking Harley Davidson motorcycle. It turns out, it looks unique because the "Aquaman" actor actually got the company to make him a custom bike just for the movie. Speaking to...

Universal Pictures has launched a new trailer for one of the longest-running film franchises ‘Fast X.’
Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have outsmarted, out-nerved and outdriven every foe in their path. Now, they confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced: A terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge, and who is determined to shatter this family and destroy everything—and everyone—that Dom loves, forever.
In 2011’s Fast Five, Dom and his crew took out nefarious Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes and decapitated his empire on a bridge in Rio De Janeiro. What they didn’t know was that Reyes’ son, Dante (Aquaman’s Jason Momoa), witnessed it all and has spent the last 12 years masterminding a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price.

If you expect one thing from a new Fast & Furious trailer, make it Family. Another? Physics mown down in a blaze of speeding car tires or exploding motors. Vin Diesel growling something. A giant threat to our heroes that can only be faced in demolition derby fashion and, yes, Family again. The new look at Fast X has screeched in, and though not as gigantic as the previous effort, is still best described as… a lot.
Having fought off worries about franchise fatigue (Fast 9 didn’t hit at the box office quite as well as some of its predecessors) and behind-the-scenes drama (veteran director Justin Lin departed the movie after 10 days of shooting), Fast X is being described as the beginning of the end of the road, since the 11th main movie is the big finale for the franchise. Universal has dropped the new trailer for Fast X, which features Jason Momoa’s flamboyant and nefarious villain doing all he can to break Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family. Check that out above!
Everything you’d expect from a Fast & Furious movie is included in the new Fast X trailer, including wild car chases, over-the-top destruction, and impossible stunts. The conclusion of the trailer even features Dom driving straight down the side of an exploding dam. Perhaps this is the “vertical quarter-mile race” director Louis Leterrier alluded to last week. Speaking of Leterrier, it was announced earlier today that he would be returning to direct the next movie, which will be the eleventh and supposedly final instalment of the Fast Saga.

The Fast & Furious franchise has tackled a number of physics-defying stunts over the last twenty years, including taking a rocket car to space. Although Fast X director Louis Leterrier has promised slightly more grounded stunts in the new sequel, that doesn’t mean that we’re not in store for some craziness.
While speaking with Empire, Louis Leterrier teased, “There are many ways of doing quarter-mile races. We’re doing a vertical quarter-mile race, which is very interesting…” Exactly what Leterrier means by that remains to be seen. Will Dom be driving straight up a building? I suppose he’s already driven through enough buildings. No matter what happens, Fast X will deliver plenty of vehicular mayhem, which sent a lot of real-life cars to the scrapyard. “When you see a car dropping from a plane and landing on two cars, well, we did drop a car and then it landed on two cars,...

In the upcoming Fast X, Dominic Toretto and his family will have to face off against Dante, a new villain played by Jason Momoa.
While speaking with Total Film, Fast X director Louis Leterrier teased that Dante is “pure chaos.” The unpredictable villain also happens to be obsessed with Dom and has spent years studying his every movie. “Dante is in awe of Dom,” Letterrier said. “He’s analyzed him. There’s nowhere to hide, because he knows Dom better than he knows himself. Dom truly meets his match with Dante.” Total Film also released a new look at Jason Momoa as Dante from Fast X, which you can check out below.

Jason Momoa’s Dante makes his explosive entrance into the Fast and Furious franchise when he tries to literally blow up the family in the new trailer for Fast X.
The preview opens with Dom (Vin Diesel) stressing over something his son said. “He said, ‘Dad, you’re not afraid of anything.’ But I am. I’m afraid of losing someone I love.”
Queue the fireworks. Dante is the son of Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes, last seen meeting his end on the bridge in Fast Five. Now, Dante is out for revenge. “Dominic Toretto, you’re about to learn all about fear,” he says through a montage of fireballs and frenzied driving. “You built such a beautiful life filled with love and family. I never got that chance. You stole that from me. My future. My family. And now, I’m gonna break yours, piece by piece.”

After a turbulent production period that saw a change of directors, "Fast X" is nearly here. With the first trailer set to drop tomorrow and tickets already on sale, there's also new information on the film's story, and the Fast Family has some tough times ahead in the penultimate installment. As much as "The Fast & The Furious" has been about family and belonging, it's also been about some pretty outrageous villains that go up against Dominic Toretto. From the corrupt politician Hernan Reyes in "Fast Five" to the Shaw brothers in "Fast & Furious 6" and "Furious 7," there's been many eccentric villains, with some even allying themselves with Dom in later installments. The latest example is Jakob (John Cena), who was one of the main villains of "F9: The Fast Saga," and Dom's brother, yet ended up switching sides at the end of the movie, leading to a reconciliation between him and Dom.

We are nearing the end of an era. One of our mightiest franchises, "Fast & Furious," will bring the saga of the Toretto extended family to an end with an epic two-part finale. Ever since the franchise went through a soft reboot, it's built an overarching story with returning players, increasingly ludicrous plot developments, and a series of over the top villains.
Now, joining the legion of great "Fast & Furious" villains like Owen and Deckard Shaw, Luke Hobbs, and Hernan Reyes, is Jason Momoa, one of the only actors who can convincingly look like they can hold their own in a brawl with John Cena's...

“Ride or die.” Those words only appear a few times in the franchise – most famously out of Vin Diesel’s gravelly baritone in Fast & Furious 6 – but they have become the personal motto for how this franchise has continued, grown, succeeded and become greater with each film. Today, Furious 7, the latest in the series will be released, and it’s a mark of achievement not only that they’ve made it to seven films, but that it only feels exciting for a seventh film about criminals racing cars to be released. The Fast and the Furious franchise is unlike any franchise out there right now, as it has evolved from perfectly adequate popcorn films about criminals racing cars to superb and exhilarating blockbuster action films. No other franchise can say that they only began to hit their creative stride with the fifth film. To understand how we arrived at this point though,...

It's strange to think that it's well over a decade since the Fast franchise began. But like a juggernaut rolling down a hill, this ageing series shows no sign of slowing down; in fact, this year's Fast & Furious 6 will be joined by yet another sequel, Fast Seven, due out in cinemas next year.
But given that the Fast movies now have such a long history, with various stars fading in and out of them as the past decade has rolled on, perhaps it's a good time to look back at how the series has evolved, and work out how its events will lead up to Fast & Furious 6...

There can’t be many film series’ that by the fifth instalment actually start to show signs of improvement but this is most definitely the case with Fast & Furious 5 (or Fast Five or Fast & Furious: Rio Heist whatever you want to call it!). The Fast And The Furious franchise has always been little more than a guilty pleasure, it’s dumb, brainless entertainment; fun at the time but instantly forgettable. With this latest chapter in the series available on Triple Play Blu-ray and DVD on Monday 5th September, director Justin Lin has managed to pull off something quite extraordinary, a sequel that actually betters all that have come before.
