Stv Productions, Digital Rights Group, Nine/8 Entertainment and Creative Media are all teaming to develop "Wallace", a historical dramatic television series based on the life of Scottish legend William Wallace reports The Live Feed.
Said to be akin to recent cable series hits like Starz's "Spartacus" and HBO's "Game of Thrones", the project focuses on Wallace's years spent attempting to unify Scotland, his loves and losses as well as his legendary battles with King Edward the Longshank and rival Robert the Bruce.
Mick Davis ("The Eleventh Hour") will write, create and executive produce the show based on an original idea from Kent Dalian and Seoras Wallace, an advisor on Mel Gibson's Oscar-winning 1995 biopic of Wallace - "Braveheart".

Sword-flinging series Spartacus and Game Of Thrones have been doing rather well for their respective cable channels both in the Us and around the world. Across the gulf of television, minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded their ratings and press coverage with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against them. Okay, so not “against them” per se, but some of the people involved in Braveheart are looking to muscle in on that sweet battle action by spearheading a TV version.Mick Davis, who worked on short-lived series Eleventh Hour, has created the new show, drawn from an idea by Kent Dalian and Seoras Wallace, who worked on Mel Gibson’s 1995 Oscar winner.According to the Hollywood Reporter, the planned series, which is still only in development, will focus on William Wallace’s back-story,...

Synopsis: Until recently, Zoey Redbird was an average high-school student worrying about grades, boys, and breakouts. But priorities have a way of changing when you are marked as a vampyre, enroll in the vampyre academy House of Night, and have to figure out a whole new social hierarchy, affinities for elemental magic, and physiological changes that make you crave blood.
P.C. Cast‘s hit series finally comes to the panel courtesty of Dark Horse Comics. Going into this book my knowledge of the House of Night series was limited. I knew they were vampire novels and targeted at teenagers; frankly that was enough to make me run in the opposite direction. I’m as tired as anyone of the cliche that vampire + teen angst = breakout-hit-that’s-sooooooo-original. Not even setting the...
