Giuseppe Achille

Italian playwright and screenwriter. Born in Lodi on 10 November 1902, Achille served for a number of years as a captain in the merchant navy.
He subsequently wrote about twenty plays, some in collaboration especially with Bruno Corra. Additionally, he wrote numerous of short stories. His work in film was comparatively minimal. Several of his screenplays were based on plays he had previously written. Among his theatrical works: Bar (1932), Traversata nera (1935) Le torri del diavolo (1936), Il cuore di allora (1940), and Ambizione (1941).
