Matthew recently explained how he believes fatherhood has made him a better actor.

“Having children I know has made me a better artist and has made me a better actor, because kids see things for the first time all the time. Their questions are innocent,” he told People. “I become a better storyteller because I have kids, meaning, I come home from work on something like True Detective, and my 4-year-old kid goes, ‘What’d you do today?’ I cannot tell them what the show’s really about, it’s not age-appropriate. So I have to go into a parable for them.”
The star described how the nature of his projects made him get creative around his children.

And I repeat, Jolink have become that annoyingly happy couple that either endears or nauseates with no in-between.
But alas, their shenanigans were nothing if not entertaining and slightly comical on Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 5, as the hour brought some more tension and drama among characters and was mostly case-focused.
Meredith's appearance brought a touch of nostalgia and a Derek Mention, but alas, we've reached a point where she's not the be-all of a show that used to be hers.
Whether or not that's a good thing remains to be seen, but given that Grey's Anatomy will likely outlive us all, I'm leaning toward it being great that it has found a way to carry on without her.
And sometimes, her presence within an hour is so insignificant and distracting she needn't be there at all.
For starters, one of the issues with Meredith Grey is that we rarely...

Lucas was not behaving in an agreeable or likable manner during Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 3.
Meanwhile, Mer was back to get funding for her covert research, and Winston made a huge decision regarding his relationship with Maggie and his future.

Join Sara Trimble, Lucy Peel, and Haley Whitmire White as they unpack the hour.
What the heck are they doing with Lucas? What do you make of him being a jerk to everyone and now leaving?
Sara: I'm appalled at seeing Lucas' behavior. I get he's mad at Simone for her back-and-forth behavior. But that doesn't mean he has the right to be a job-thieving jerk. He should have spoken up and given Yasuda credit for what was happening, especially after she declared them friends.

Accepting the International Feature Oscar last Sunday, Glazer spoke at length and highlighted what he described as the shared ideology behind the film’s subject matter and contemporary world events.

For Southern Living, the married couple, who share sons Levi, Livingston, and daughter Vida, spoke about the recipes that the family loves most, reports ‘People’ magazine.

As per ‘People’, their children’s taste buds crave for something sweeter. “For the kids, it’s the honey chicken,” Camila added.

The Zone of Interest. When you start to really hear a movie, you’ll never be able to unhear it. The sound designer, like the cinematographer, is an artist disguised as a technician, a wielder of microphones and mixers whose deepest desire is to serve a cinematic vision. Its soundscapes are intense, involving, and essential to our narrative comprehension of the film; this is sound design as storytelling, as counterpoint, as argument. The artist in disguise behind The Zone of Interest is Johnnie Burn, a British sound designer who, over the past decade, has carved a reputation as the ear of new auteur cinema. Carrie Fisher took the virginity of Indiana Jones. At least, that's how she told it while she was alive. Specifically, that's what she told me. In her own words: "I wrote it with George [Lucas.] We wrote Indiana Jones losing his virginity to Mata Hari. It went very well."
I had been asking about her work on the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy, so this answer came a bit out of left field. However, it's a little-known fact that Fisher worked as a writer on many George Lucas projects, doing an uncredited polish on the scripts for the prequels and even coming up with adventures for Indiana Jones to go on in his TV series, "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles."
So, how did Indiana Jones actually lose his virginity, and what part did Fisher play?

James Gunn has carved out a significant reputation for himself in the superhero genre. He successfully brought the lesser-known Marvel superhero team to the forefront of cinema, transforming it into a billion-dollar franchise within a relatively brief period. Despite facing dismissal from Marvel Studios due to resurfaced old Tweets, Gunn still managed to complete one final ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ installment before eventually embarking on his own Dcu journey alongside Safran.
Gunn’s close relationship with the stars of the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise became evident, especially during his turbulent departure from Marvel. Dave Bautista, in particular, staunchly defended Gunn, describing him as “one of the most loving, caring, good-natured people he ever met.” Other cast members also rallied behind Gunn, albeit too late to reverse the decision. Bautista, in solidarity, refused to collaborate with other directors. Following the release of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, where the...

Bautista, in solidarity, refused to collaborate with other directors. Following the release of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, where the...

James Gunn has made quite a name for himself in the superhero world. He managed to bring the Z-list Marvel superhero team to the big screen and turn it into a billion-dollar franchise in a relatively short span of time. After being fired by Marvel Studios because of some old Tweets that resurfaced, Gunn worked on one last ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ movie before eventually taking over the reins of his very own cinematic universe alongside Safran.
Now we know that James Gunn was very close to the stars of the GotG franchise and this is why pretty much all of them stood with Gunn when he was fired, most vocally it was Dave Bautista who publicly defended Gunn calling him “one of the most loving, caring, good matured people he ever met.” After Bautista, several of his co-stars also joined in the defense, but alas it was too late.

When Grey’s Anatomy burst onto the scene and washed over the competition in 2005, Ellen Pompeo’s Meredith Grey was front and center.
That all changed in 2023 when the original star departed as a series regular, dropping down to a recurring status.
As promotional material for Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 has trickled out, Meredith has been heavily featured in scenes that highlight her return to Seattle.
Beyond that, there was no confirmation of how long Pompeo would be on-screen.
Until now.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the beloved actress will appear in at least four episodes of the strike-shortened season.
Could Ellen Pompeo return for more episodes of Grey’s Anatomy Season 20?
Four episodes of a 10-episode season isn’t bad, but the outlet notes that Pompeo may appear in more than that.
At the time of her departure, Pompeo was set to produce and star in a limited series for Hulu.

If you’re a fan of Nicholas Gonzalez and his characters, his latest series regular roles have not made that easy. First, in The Good Doctor Season 3 finale, Dr. Melendez died as a result of injuries he sustained in an earthquake. Now, on La Brea, Levi was shot and killed saving his best friend Gavin (Eoin Macken). In both cases, his characters knew they had fatal wounds—and the actor knew those moments were coming in each case for a bit. “Yeah, there’s a certain knowledge of these two knowing they’re going to die as well as an actor who knew for a long time that he was going to die when no one else did,” Gonzalez tells TV Insider. “It was something on La Brea that everyone knew a little bit earlier because it wasn’t the same sort of attachment. But with The Good Doctor, I...

Everything’s ready for the big game this Sunday: treats, poop bags, pee pads and all. No, not that game. The Puppy Bowl is back again for its 20th year, featuring sports’ most revered face-off between Team Ruff and Team Fluff.
It takes a small village to pull off the match-up, with 120 crew members and 132 volunteers, including representatives from animal shelters. “Puppy Bowl Xx” features 131 puppy players from 73 different rescues.
And all those pups require quite a bit of tender loving care during the multi-day shoot in Glen Falls, N.Y. This year’s game used 600 pee pads, 200 toys, 30 water bowls, 10 bags of treats and 200 poop bags.
At the heart of the action is ruff-eree Dan Schachner, who’s had the cutest gig in show business for the last 13 years. He can’t believe how much the annual event has grown during that time. “The amount of adoptable puppies we...

After a brief halt in production, AMC was able to secure “significant agreements” with the SAG-AFTRA actors union that allowed them to continue filming Interview with the Vampire season 2 during the SAG strike last year, keeping the show on track for its 2024 premiere… and now we know exactly when that premiere is going to happen. Entertainment Weekly reports that Interview with the Vampire season 2 is set to begin airing on AMC on Sunday, May 12th.
Anne Rice’s novel Interview with the Vampire centers on the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac as he relates the story of his life to a reporter, in particular how he was turned into a vampire and then mentored by Lestat de Lioncourt. Season 2 of the TV series will pick up in the year 2022, with vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac recounting his life story to journalist Daniel Molloy after the bloody events in...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for La Brea Season 3 Episode 5, “The Road Home Part 1.”] The major death in the penultimate episode of La Brea was inevitable if you ask the actor playing the character. Furthermore, it was supposed to come sooner. Levi (Nicholas Gonzalez) reappears, seemingly working for Maya (Claudia Ware), only to explain to Scott (Rohan Mirchandaney) that he infiltrated the military base to try to find Eve (Natalie Zea) and make it up to Gavin (Eoin Macken) and the others for everything he’s done, namely taking away their chance at leaving 10,000 BC by blowing up the tower. But when Levi hears that the soldiers are targeting Gavin to take him out—and sees Izzy (Zyra Gorecki)—he immediately breaks cover and runs to save his friend. He succeeds in doing that—and lets Gavin know where he can find Eve—but at the cost of his own life. But ...

This should have been titled "Traitors and Suspects."
While Gavin strived to locate Eve, most of La Brea Season 3 Episode 5 focused on discovering who betrayed him. Every time we were sure we figured out who the culprit was, another suspect popped up.
However, we were shocked by the second traitor. They weren't even on our radar.
We're nearing the end of La Brea, and I still have more questions than answers. It's been such a fast-paced season that could have used a few more episodes to flesh out some character arcs.
It was evident that Maya was the ringleader after Scott's confrontation with her on La Brea Season 3 Episode 4, but her motives were still unclear. Was she just over-ambitious and wanted to control time machines? Would she really risk her daughter's safety to get it?
Gavin: Maya, what are you doing?
Maya: I’m taking back what’s mine.

With just one episode now remaining in its three-season (two-and-a-half season?) run, NBC’s La Brea gave one of its main characters a most heroic, yet oh-so-sad, death.
“The Road Home, Part 1” in large part revolved around the person on the other end of the potato-powered laptop baiting Gavin into handing over The Microchip, in trade for a captive Eve. Luckily, Gavin & Co. were able to deduce ahead of their rendezvous at a remote location that Maya Schmidt, in fact, was behind everything. As such, they got the drop on her during the meet-up.

Mickey Gilbert, the fearless stunt performer who jumped off a cliff for Robert Redford in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and doubled for Gene Wilder in films including Blazing Saddles, Silver Streak and The Frisco Kid, has died. He was 87.
Gilbert died Monday of natural causes at his home in Camarillo, California, his oldest son, Tim Gilbert, also a stunt performer, told The Hollywood Reporter.
Early in his career, Gilbert was a horse wrangler in William Wyler’s Ben-Hur (1959) and a bank robber in Sam Peckinpah’s The Wild Bunch (1969). Years later, he took the lumps for Lee Majors’ Colt Seavers on the 1981-86 ABC action show The Fall Guy.
Though they weren’t friends at the time, Gilbert and Redford were in the same class at Van Nuys High School, graduating in 1954. They got together on George Roy Hill’s Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) when Redford...

Facing your inner demons can set you free.
Gavin, Ty, Izzy, and Leyla faced their pasts on La Brea Season 3 Episode 3 and either started new journeys or got closure to move on.
Were these journeys beneficial, or did some of them alter history? Will we see the effects of these decisions before the series ends?
The Gavin of 2021 had just as much difficulty believing Ty as Sam did, but the stakes were higher because they needed Gavin to access info on the Air Force base. He didn't remember anything about the secret project in either timeline.
I can’t explain the gaps in your memory, and I understand why this is frightening, but if you explore this with us, it will be worth it. The lives of the people you love depend on this.

La Brea’s final season is off on to a wild ride, in part to leading man Eoin Macken.
Macken’s acting credits are extensive, including Merlin, The Night Shift, a satiric film –Grey Elephant, and currently, La Brea, where he portrays Gavin Harris.
After La Brea finishes, Eoin will star in a new Roku series called Borderline, which he’s excited about because it touches on his Irish roots.
We always love chatting with Eoin, and we discussed many topics, including how Gavin’s new memories would affect the rescue mission, Gavin and Izzy’s evolving father-daughter relationship, and if fans would be pleased with the finale. He also teased his upcoming shows.

Sometimes directors don’t want you humming the music as you leave their film.
More than ever, filmmakers are seeking fresh musical approaches, especially when the subject matter is dark or fantastic. Three late-2023 releases demonstrate this with music that catches the ear in unusual ways.
Director Yorgos Lanthimos had never commissioned original music for any of his previous films. So for “Poor Things,” which seemed to demand a bespoke score, he turned to a composer who had never written one before: English musician Jerskin Fendrix, whose 2020 album “Winterreise” he had admired.
Fendrix is a classically trained pianist and violinist who has written an experimental opera and defiantly resisted conventional pop-music sounds. Lanthimos hired him six months before beginning principal photography on his sci-fi black comedy starring Emma Stone as Bella, a Victorian woman raised from the dead who embarks on an odyssey of self-discovery.

Unfortunately, Gavin, Izzy, and Josh’s encounter with the T-Rex teased at the end of NBC’s La Brea season two isn’t the opening shot of season three episode one. Instead, the final season of the time-traveling sci-fi drama begins with Gavin (Eoin Macken) experiencing a pleasant memory before being snapped back into the reality of life in 10,0000 BC.
Gavin’s determined to get James’ laptop to work but isn’t having any luck. Izzy (Zyra Gorecki) is full of doom and gloom and won’t offer any help. The auroras are all closed, and there’s no way to get to Eve – even if they knew where/when she is right now, which they don’t.
Lucas (Josh McKenzie), who somehow got voted in as leader by the group,...

Previously in La Brea seasons 1 and 2, we were introduced to the story following a giant sinkhole opening in the middle of Los Angeles that transferred people from the present era to the prehistoric age. In the midst of all this, Gavin Harris, the head of the Harris family, turned out to be a time traveler who could destroy the time travel portals and bring everything back to normalcy. Throughout the two seasons, a lot of events unfolded, and a lot of survivors lost their lives, but Gavin remained steadfast in his mission to find a solution to this catastrophe.
In the end of La Brea season 2, we saw Gavin’s wife Eve get separated from the rest of the survivors and transported to a different timeline. Scott, one of the survivors, met a little kid named Petra, whose mother used to be an important figure working for a military base in LA.

Let’s see what secrets were hidden in the sinkhole and if Eve and...

As though the fact that La Brea will soon be coming to an end wasn't sad enough, the opening scenes of La Brea Season 3 Episode 1 just came along and bummed viewers out even more.
Obviously, the action sequences and CGI effects were impressive, but coming as they did at the start of the show's final season, they served as a depressing reminder of what might have been.
With that sort of budget and a little time to mature, La Brea could have become the next great sci-fi and family drama. The current TV landscape is lacking in shows that combine elements of both genres. But hey, at least we can enjoy these final six weeks.
The stakes have never been higher in La Brea. Prior to the chaotic first scene of the season premiere, Gavin was mainly concerned with locating Eve, a task that became even more difficult when the dinosaurs destroyed the clearing.
