Death in Paradise returns for its fourth series later this week on BBC One, to help bring us all some much-needed sunshine in gloomy January.
Kris Marshall succeeded in taking over Ben Miller in the show's leading role last year, with the third series climbing to even bigger ratings than ever before.
Digital Spy sat down with the former My Family actor about the show's continued success and what to look forward to in series four.
You must be pleased that Death in Paradise continues to be really popular?
"Yeah, more so even. I was absolutely humbled by how brilliantly it went. I couldn't have wished for it to go better. The last thing I wanted to do was take an 8 million viewer show and turn it into a 4m viewer show. That wouldn't have looked particularly good on my CV. I was really happy.

If you grew up in the 1980s, then no doubt you'll remember ITV's very own take on the Robin Hood legend. Robin Of Sherwood would face the formidable presence of the Sheriff of Nottingham on a weekly basis, and would do so while flicking his girly locks from side to side to the ethereal dulcet tones of Clannad.
Robin Of Sherwood went out between 1984 and 1986, which was to be one of Doctor Who's best forgotten periods of history. As the old saying goes, civilisations rise and civilisations fall, and in the mid 1980s, Doctor Who's cosy little world was in danger of crumbling. Some of the fans were turning up their noses at John Nathan Turner's stewardship, while the evil big shots at the BBC were rubbing their hands in glee at the 18-month hiatus. About 30 years later, the presence of Robin Hood again caused dissension in the ranks.

Death in Paradise star Gary Carr has admitted that he was "shocked" to learn the fate of Ben Miller's character.
Richard Poole (Miller) will be stabbed to death with an ice-pick in the BBC One drama's third series opener, it was revealed last month.
"I thought, that's a bit cold!" Carr - who plays Fidel Best - told Digital Spy. "But at the same time, I understand it, because it would be out-of-character for Richard Poole to leave the island.
"It's definitely sad, but for him to just get up and leave and go back to the UK would've been odd and I don't think an audience would accept that."
Carr added that new lead Kris Marshall, who plays Humphrey Goodman, brings a "new dynamic and new energy" to the series.

Death in Paradise is back, but there's change afoot for the detective drama with a sunny disposition. Ben Miller is out - his character Richard Poole meeting a grisly end - and Kris Marshall is in as "lanky Columbo" Di Humphrey Goodman.
Digital Spy spoke to Kris about the "daunting" prospect of replacing Miller and why Humphrey is both "mad" and a "bloody good cop".
How did your joining Death in Paradise as the new lead come about?
"I got the phone call saying that Ben Miller would be leaving Death in Paradise during the third series and would I be interested in being the new lead. I said, 'I don't know, I've never seen it!'

BBC One has released pictures showing a shock twist in the Death in Paradise series three premiere.
The drama's lead detective Di Poole, played by Ben Miller, will be found murdered in the opening scenes of the first episode.
The detective will become the victim in the first case of the series, after he is stabbed in the chest with an ice pick.
Miller - who has starred in the crime drama since its inception in 2011 - announced he was leaving the programme in April.
His departure makes way for new lead detective Di Humphrey Goodman, played by My Family's Kris Marshall, who now has the task of solving the cryptic murder.
Miller said of his character's death: "I have loved my time on this brilliant show, and am delighted that Richard Poole is going out with a bang, or to be precise, a sickening squelch.
"Despite his moaning, Richard...
