Matthew Kalish grew up on Long Island, NY. He studied film and photo
and Ithaca college. In 2001 he wrote, directed, edited and composed the
music for the short film Synapse (2001) which earned him
various awards on the festival circuit.
In the summer of 2002 he moved to Sherman Oaks, CA where he worked on the making of _We were Soldiers (2002)_ starring Mel Gibson as an associate editor as well as creating the 3D logo for director Randall Wallace for his company, the Wheelhouse.
For the past 6 years he has worked as a New Media Creative at TBWA/Chiat/Day in Playa Del Ray, CA where he makes commercials and web videos and resides in Santa Monica, CA.
