When we talk about renowned manga series in the otaku community many popular names come to our mind. The choices are vast as fans would say names of popular titles like Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Demon Slayer, and many more. However, Akutami-san’s and Oda-Sensei’s work remains on top of the charts, both mangas have broken numerous records in 2023.

Jjk claimed the title of #1 anime as it was immensely popular among its viewers, while Op kept its viewers hooked on the series as the manga progressed into one of its final arcs. Despite immense popularity, neither of the two titles claimed the spot of the most-selling manga in 2023. Apolonia, Apolonia leads the 2023 International Documentary Awards nominations with four nods.
Other top nominees include The Mother of All Lies and Milisuthando, which earned three nominations apiece.
All three films are up for the top prize of best feature documentary, along with two-time nominees Against the Tide, ANHELL69, Going to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project and Q.
All of this year’s best director nominees represent films nominated for best feature.
Other two-time nominees, not up for best feature or director, include Anselm (best cinematography and original music score), To Kill a Tiger (best original music score and best writing) and Smoke Sauna Sisterhood (best editing and cinematography).
