Dr. Oz is returning for a new season today — and he’ll be back for at least two more. Fox Station Group has renewed The Dr. Oz Show for Season 13 and 14, which will take the Daytime Emmy-winning talker into 2023.
Dr. Oz has been on the front lines during the Covid-19 outbreak, producing 55 original shows during the height of the pandemic reaching 22 million viewers in Live+7, per Nielsen.

“The Dr. Oz Show,” hosted by Dr. Mehmet Oz, has been renewed through the 2022-2023 season, meaning that the syndicated daytime series will remain on television through Seasons 13 and 14.

“The Dr. Oz Show” has been picked up for two more seasons.
Fox Station Group has picked up a 13th and 14th season of the show, keeping the show on the air through the 2022-23 season, the show’s distributor Sony Pictures Television announced Monday.
The news comes ahead of the show’s Season 12 premiere, which executive producer Amy Chiaro says will cover topics including “breaking Covid-19 news to stories of racial injustice to bias in healthcare to big newsmaker and celebrity interviews.”

The Young and the Restless tallied 23 nominations as honors were announced this morning for the 40th annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Restless’ impressive take helped CBS lead all networks with 50 overall nominations. PBS and ABC followed, with 44 and 38 nods, respectively.
General Hospital, which earned 19 nominations, joined Restless in the race for Outstanding Drama Series, and Sesame Street received 17 nods, including three for Kevin Clash, the voice of Elmo who faces allegations of sexual misconduct.
