I really want to watch some of his films as I've heard some great things about them, particularly Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring; it totally sounds like my type of film.

But I am very put off by the reports of animal cruelty in his films. Could someone please tell me how brutal and graphic these scenes are? From what I hear, The Isle is a complete no-go - is it true that live fish are chopped up on camera? And what about Spring, Summer etc etc - the only thing i've heard is that someone ties rope to frogs and snakes.

I'm not a tree-hugger or anything, but I really don't want to watch real suffering of any kind, so if anyone could tell me really what goes on in his films and whether I should avoid them then I would be very grateful.
