A&E Network is perusing stars' garage sales for an unscripted pilot created and hosted by Illeana Douglas.
The cable network has shot a pilot for the project, titled Celebrity Garage Sale, which features Douglas trying to help her famous friends get rid of their unwanted junk, personal items and dusty memorabilia by having their own garage sale.
The premise of a show in which celebrities hold garage sales for charity is said to have long been a "pet project" for Douglas. The pilot features Tom Arnold, whose garage sale is said to have raised $5,000 for Camp del Corazon, a summer camp for children with heart disease.
"I've always been a garage sale fanatic, but the fun of a celebrity garage sale is that their throwaways become someone else's collectables -- like an 'Antiques Roadshow' to the stars," she said. "After all, it's not just junk -- it's celebrity junk!"
Garage Sale is produced by Franzke Entertainment, with Douglas and David Franzke serving as executive producers.

CBS is developing a primetime unscripted series to be hosted by Saturday Night Live alumnus Jon Lovitz. The eye network has ordered a presentation of the untitled project, which will shoot this month in Las Vegas. The project is being produced by David Franske and Wayne Rice, through Pottle Prods. The series would incorporate elements of the game-show and hidden-camera genres in which Lovitz would set up unsuspecting guests in outrageous situations. One proposed segment would team a contestant with a pro golfer who would offer strange advice with a little help from Lovitz. Lovitz last was seen on CBS in a recurring role on the short-lived 1985-86 sitcom Foley Square.
Lifetime is bringing wedded bliss back to some disillusioned wives in the new series You're Not the Man I Married. The cable network is expected to announce today at the Television Critics Assn. press tour at the Universal City Hilton that it has ordered 13 half-hour episodes of the unscripted comedy series from executive producer David Franzke (MTV's Punk'd) and Optomen Prods. Married revolves around wedded couples in which the wives have realized after a few years of marriage that their husbands aren't exactly Prince Charming. To prove their love to their spouses, the husbands must participate in comedic challenges. For example, the pilot features one man approaching complete strangers at the boardwalk in Atlantic City, N.J., to tell them why he loves his wife.
