For crying out loud — I own “Bloodmoon” and “City of Fear.” Don’t you talk to me about devotion! As you can tell, anytime the guy puts together a new motion picture I tend to get a little excited. It’s like Christmas, except Gary Daniels slides down the chimney and spin kicks me in the grill. Enter director Ara Paiaya’s upcoming action thriller “Skin Traffik,” a flick that brings Daniels together with a number of direct-to-video veterans and former Hollywood A-listers. Included in this hefty cast are Mickey Rourke, Eric Roberts, Michael Madsen, Jeff Fahey, Dominique Swain, and Daryl Hannah. Daryl freaking Hannah! How can you possibly lose? Check out this synopsis: “A jaded hit man regains his humanity in this...

I have a definite soft spot for low-budget action films, which is why I think director Ara Paiaya’s “The Suppressor” looks so remarkably badass. Steve Seagal wishes he was getting material like this. I know a lot of people may initially dismiss the film for its microbudget production values, but I feel that kind of works in its favor.
