Manhattan served as something of a fifth main character in Sex and the City. The city provided the perfect backdrop for Carrie Bradshaw and her pals to shop, eat, and find eligible bachelors. For most of the show’s six-season run, the girls rarely ventured off the island. Still, it did happen occasionally. We’ve collected all the times the ladies of Sex and the City found themselves as fish out of water while away from Manhattan.
The group traveled to California more than once
Carrie and her pals were pretty attached to the East Coast, but that doesn’t mean they never left. The group traveled to California in season 3 of Sex and the City. In a two-episode story arc, Carrie leaves New York to meet with a film executive to discuss potentially optioning her columns.

Julie Halston is known to Sex and the City fans as Bitsy Von Muffling. Halston appeared in a few episodes of the original series. She has since reprised the role in And Just Like That…, most recently in season 2 of the series. As Bitsy’s character comes into sharper focus in season 2 of the Max reboot, we can’t help but look back at her original casting. Halston seems perfect in the role, but apparently, it’s not the first role she auditioned for. In a recent interview, Halston revealed that she auditioned for Sex and the City a few times before Bitsy came along.

Sex and the City was one of the most groundbreaking shows of its time. While much about the series hasn’t aged well, it remains a cult classic that amasses new fans with each passing day. While there were many wonderful Sex and the City episodes produced, there are a few that stand out. We’ve collected our favorite episode from each season for your consideration.
The cast of ‘Sex and the City’ | 1999 Paramount Pictures Season 1
Season 1 of Sex and the City focused heavily on Carrie Bradshaw’s sex column. That doesn’t mean the best episode heavily concentrated on Carrie, though. The absolute best episode of the inaugural season centered largely around Samantha Jones.
In episode 9, “The Turtle and the Hare,” the girls deal with the emotional fallout of attending a friend’s wedding. Feeling dejected, Samantha agrees to spend time with Bernie Turtletaub, a man with awful breath.

Spoiler Alert: The following story reveals details from Episode 4 of HBO Max’s And Just Like That...
The fate of the Sex and the City franchise favorite Stanford Blatch begins to unravel in the fourth episode of HBO Max’s And Just Like That, following the death of Willie Garson in late September of pancreatic cancer.
It’s not fair to say his exact fate has been revealed as of yet considering Carrie’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) bestie has departed the states for Tokyo for business reasons. This leaves endless possibilities for a proper plan to explain why Stanford will never be seen on the series again.
When we see Carrie in episode four titled, “Some of My Best Friends,” she has decided to sell off the home she shared with Mr. Big (Chris Noth) after his death in the premiere episode. She has now found solace at her famous Brownstone once again,...
