Composer, conductor and arranger, educated at Washington and Lee
University and the Vanderbilt Law School. He also studied music with
Rubin Goldmark, Aurelio Giorni, John Erb, and Tibor Serly. He arranged
for dance orchestras, radio shows and Broadway musicals, and conducted
the Sperry (Gyroscope) Symphony. Between 1946 (the year he joined
ASCAP) and 1953 he was on the staff at WOR in New York, and he was a
member of the American Society of Music Arrangers and the Sons of the
American Revolution.
