Adam Sandler is known for his comedic prowess, but his latest role takes him in a whole new direction. The actor teams up with Carey Mulligan in the sci-fi drama Spaceman, which premiered on Netflix on March 1st.
The film follows an astronaut (Sandler), who grapples with isolation and the state of his marriage during a solo mission on the edge of the solar system.
Adam Sandler and Carey Mulligan in Spaceman
Mulligan portrays his wife back on Earth, and their complex relationship takes center stage throughout the film. In a recent interview, Sandler couldn’t hold back his praise for his co-star. Seems like the two had a great working relationship, and the Hollywood actor genuinely appreciates her talent.

Insidious: Chapter 3 isn’t hitting theaters until next month, but Leigh Whannell, the horror prequel’s writer, director and co-star, is already starting to think about where the franchise could go from here.
Sitting down with We Got This Covered’s Jami Philbrick last week, Whannell confirmed what we already suspected – that a fourth chapter in the high-grossing horror series is planned – and theorized about setting Insidious: Chapter 4 sometime after the chilling events of Chapter 3 (billed as the franchise’s darkest installment to date) but before Lin Shaye’s medium Elise Rainier came into contact with the Lambert family in the first Insidious.
When asked whether the next film would continue the Chapter 3 narrative or tell a different story, Whannell said:
I don’t know. I haven’t really thought about it yet. But for the purposes of this interview, I’ll say that I’d like to...

Jerry Bruckheimer usually has a million and one projects in the works at any given moment. The super producer seems to have his hand in every major Hollywood franchise and getting around to each one of them obviously requires a bit of time. Bad Boys 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales are two films that Bruckheimer currently seems to be working hard on to get off the ground. And while neither have an official start date just yet, it does sound like the producer is making a bit of progress on both.
In a recent interview with Bruckheimer during the Deliver Us From Evil press junket, our very own Jami Philbrick asked him when we could expect to hear more on both Pirates and Bad Boys. While he didn’t give us the answer that we were hoping for, he did offer a very brief update.

NBC broke the hearts of Community fans everywhere when they cancelled the series back in May, squashing our hopes and dreams for not only a sixth season, but a movie as well (#sixseasonsandamovie!). We’ve heard some talk of the show being revived by streaming services like Hulu, but never any official confirmations about the possibility. Until now, that is.
Joel McHale, who played Jeff Winger on the series, was recently interviewed by We Got This Covered’s own Jami Philbrick at the press junket for Deliver Us From Evil. In between asking him questions about his part in the Scott Derrickson directed horror film, Jami couldn’t help but to inquire about the future of Community, which may be brighter than we originally thought:
Wgtc: Is there a future for Community?
McHale: Yes! We are doing a regional theater tour. I wouldn’t doubt that Dan [Harmon] would do something like that.

His last film mixed social commentary with fantasy but can Elysium, director Blomkamp's new sci-fi epic, retain the grit?
Watching on mobile? Click here to view.
It is never easy to impart complex social messages via all-action fantasy or science-fiction movies. Andrew Niccol has had a crack several times, most recently with the underrated In Time, and Christopher Nolan made a decent fist of seeding last year's The Dark Knight Rises with a hint of Occupy-style anarchy. Neill Blomkamp, who yesterday debuted the first trailer for his highly-anticipated new sci-fi flick Elysium, is at least willing to admit the limitations of his chosen oeuvre. "Basically, I think that in the realm of commercial popcorn cinema the amount of message or ideas you can get in there is quite limited," he said at a screening of footage for fans and bloggers in La earlier this week. "Like if you think you're...

Several journalists were invited to screen the upcoming comic book film “X-Men: First Class” over the weekend (hey, where is my invite?). Although they are not allowed to write an official review, a few of the journalists were allowed to blog their initial thoughts on the movie. Their actual official reviews will be posted on Wednesday, May 25. I gathered some of their select comments from various web sites. It sounds like they have really positive thoughts on the film. You can click on their respective web site links for the jump for their full articles on their initial thoughts. Here is the official synopsis: “X-Men: First Class,” following the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends,...
