Freeform is expanding its unscripted slate with two new series.
The network announced Wednesday that it has two new reality series set to premiere this year — Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise and Wayne Brady: The Family Remix. Details on both series are below.
The news comes as Freeform wrapped one of its flagship scripted series, Good Trouble, on Tuesday after five seasons. Grown-ish, another young adult series that helped the network usher in its new era once it rebranded from ABC Family, is also ending this month.
The network is now focused on repositioning its programming once again to include a larger slate of unscripted original series. The two newly announced series join the existing slate that includes Chrissy & Dave Dine Out, and the upcoming Royal Rules of Ohio and Sasha Reid & The Midnight Order.

Teen Wolf alum Tyler Posey has joined the cast of the upcoming season of MTV’s The Surreal Life, the revival of the iconic VH1 series. Posey shared the news on Instagram (see his post below). He joins previously announced cast Macy Gray, Chet Hanks, Ally Brooke, O.T. Genasis, Kim Zolciak, Johnny Weir and Josie Conseco.
Posey is best known for his portrayal of Scott McCall in Teen Wolf, a role he reprised in Paramount+’s movie sequel Teen Wolf: The Movie.

The new season of the show, which previously aired on VH1 and now will air on MTV, is set to begin production this month. The cast includes singer Macy Gray, actor Chet Hanks, former Fifth Harmony member Ally Brooke, rapper O.T. Genasis, former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak, figure skater Johnny Weir and model Josie Canseco.

Kim Zolciak is going from real to surreal.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum is one of seven participants in the upcoming season of the long-running reality show “The Surreal Life,” MTV announced Wednesday.
Zolciak was an original cast member of “Rhoa” and abruptly departed the show halfway through Season 5. She has since made several guest appearances, including the most recent Season 15.
She wed football player Kroy Biermann on a Bravo wedding special and they had their own spin-off titled “Don’t Be Tardy” that ran for eight seasons. Biermann filed for divorce last May, but the two reconciled briefly before Biermann refiled for divorce in August.

The 73rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards is in the books.
Netflix was the big winner this year with 44 trophies, including a leading 10 at the primetime ceremony and 34 at the Creative Arts Emmy ceremonies last weekend, to wipe out the competition. The combined HBO/HBO Max was next with 19, including nine wins tonight, followed by Disney+ with 14, including one tonight. Apple TV+ is next with 10, including four tonight. NBC has eight, and VH1 took six; both took home one statuette Sunday night.
