"You're little cinematic universe is about to change forever... I'm the messiah." 20th Century Studios and Marvel Studios have revealed the first teaser trailer for Deadpool 3, now officially known as Deadpool & Wolverine. It's time for the infamous Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool, to mess up the MCU by getting his tricky little fingers all over this superhero-filled multiverse. Even though this is technically Deadpool 3, he's diving full on into the whole franchise and bringing Wolverine along with him. Ryan Reynolds stars once again as Wade Wilson / Deadpool alongside Hugh Jackman as Logan / Wolverine, and a cast featuring Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Matthew Macfadyen, Emma Corrin, Shioli Kutsuna, Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams, and Jennifer Garner. No other plot details were revealed, but not much else is needed right now. This is still just a teaser, and doesn't even fully reveal the new Wolvie even though everyone has seen Jackman on set anyway.

We wouldn’t be wrong to say that this current era of superhero movies is built on crossover movies featuring returning actors who retired from playing their respective characters long ago.
In 2021, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ assembled three live-action Spider-Men on the big screen. 2022’s ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ brought back Patrick Stewart as a variant of Professor X. Both of these movies were highly successful at the box office, and it was thought the superhero genre had found a new formula for success, a formula that’s built on fan-service and nostalgia.
