The “America’s Got Talent” Season 16 finalists competed for one final time on Tuesday, but it wasn’t enough for NBC to shake ABC and its “Bachelor in Paradise” in terms of key-demo ratings. In total viewers, however, it wasn’t even a competition. “AGT” drew more than 7 million total viewers last night. The “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” spinoff had 3 million. We’ll find out the winner of “America’s Got Talent” Season 16 tonight. “Bachelor in Paradise” still has a few more weeks to go. NBC and ABC tied for first in ratings, both with 0.7 ratings in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic. NBC was first in total viewers with an average of 5.6 million, according to preliminary numbers. ABC came in third place with 2.5 million total viewers. For NBC, “AGT” from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. averaged a 0.9 rating and 7.1 million total viewers. At 10, “Family Game Fight!” got a 0.5 rating and 2.5 million total viewers. The...

Bright sunny days and a wonderful world are hopefully ahead for “AGT” contestant Jimmie Herrod, who blew the judges away with his stunning rendition of “What a Wonderful World” on Tuesday’s finals performance episode for Season 16.
Herrod, who was judge Sofia Vergara’s Golden Buzzer pick earlier this season, sang the Louis Armstrong track with such emotion that he ended up bringing all four of the judges — Vergara, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and even Simon Cowell — to their feet for a standing ovation at the end. The performance was so good that the rest of the house rose up as well to give him a big round of applause.
Other highlights of the show, which is the final one before a Season 16 winner is declared on Wednesday night, included Gina Brillon’s stand-up routine about her marriage, which had Klum laughing; aerialist Aidan Bryant’s flying high above the stage performing life-risking skills,...

“America’s Got Talent” is TV’s only competition show that embraces all forms of variety acts, whether you’re a singer, a comedian, a magician or anything in between. Throughout its nearly two decades years on the air, seven singers have claimed victory with the others being a mix of ventriloquists, magicians, etc. (See the “AGT” winners list.) However, there are four specific variety acts that have yet to win the top prize of $1 million and a headline show in Las Vegas. Can any of these acts make history during Season 16 finale on September 15?

All week long, “America’s Got Talent” viewers have been making their predictions for which of the semifinalists from Group 2 will be advancing to the finale, and the results are in. The five acts most likely to get the green light during Wednesday’s results show are: singer Brooke Simpson, comedian Josh Blue, quick-change artist Lea Kyle, chorale group Northwell Nurse Choir and opera girl Victory Brinker. Do you agree or disagree with our users’ “AGT” odds? Be sure to make your predictions before the September 8 episode airs live on NBC.
At the other end of the spectrum, our “America’s Got Talent” odds-makers predict these six acts will be headed home this week: singing group 1aChord, dance group ChapKidz, comedian Kabir Singh, mentalist Peter Antoniou, acrobatic trio Rialcris and unicyclists UniCircle Flow. Since there are no more wildcards, being cut in this round means an act is out of the competition for good.

The 16th season of “America’s Got Talent” officially entered the final stage of competition — the live shows — on Tuesday, August 10. For three weeks, three groups of 12 performed in the quarterfinals for America’s votes. Now the “AGT” 2021 cycle is in the midst of the two-week semifinals round, with 11 acts taking the stage both weeks at the Dolby Theatre. The Season 16 finale is scheduled for Tuesday, September 14 (performance show) and Wednesday, September 15 (results show).
The Top 36 quarterfinalists, chosen by the judges in secret, performed on Tuesday nights for three weeks. America voted for their favorite contestants each time, and then seven acts from each group advanced to the semifinals. That left 21 acts still in the competition, with the judges — Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara — then picking Beyond Belief Dance Company as their wildcard to complete the Top 22.

This week on “America’s Got Talent,” fan-fave vocal trio T.3 was shockingly eliminated from the competition just short of the semifinals. Blame Simon Cowell. The cranky British judge received boos when he told the guys they “blew it” on live television following their performance of “good 4 u” by Olivia Rodrigo. In our recent poll, we asked “AGT” viewers to tell us which act was most robbed of a spot in the semis and a whopping 45% voted for T.3. Here are the complete poll results:

24% — Johnny Showcase (comedy vocalists)

Dr. Phil McGraw is in the house, but his new series “House Calls With Dr. Phil” didn’t do much for CBS in its debut. Sixteen years ago on “American Idol,” Simon Cowell made headlines when he told a fresh-faced Carrie Underwood she was going to “win this show” and “sell more records than any other previous ‘Idol’ winner” (watch above). Well, flash-forward to today, and Simon is not only patting himself on the back for that intuitive prediction, but he’s ready to make another one. During the August 17 episode of “America’s Got Talent,” the British judge told nine-year-old opera girl Victory Brinker, “You are gonna be one of the biggest stars to emerge from one of these shows.”
Victory had just performed the classic opera song “Casta Diva” (watch below) at the Dolby Theatre when Simon made his prediction. The song was a risk for the talented tyke as she readily admitted to making a “last-minute” change to her song choice. “[‘Casta Diva’] is very different, but I really want to stand out,” the singer...

While Howie Mandel loved their rendition of the hit single, Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum were lukewarm and Simon Cowell actually proclaimed they “blew it” on the big stage. Ouch. Watch the “AGT” video above.
In his “AGT” live blog, our recapper John Benutty had this to say about the performance: “Social media singing group T.3 kicked off tonight’s show with a remix of the Olivia Rodrigo hit ‘Good 4 U.’ Howie called their harmonies seamless, but Heidi pointed out that they’re better when singing a cappella without the backing track. Sofia also pulled back a little,...

Over the years, fans of “America’s Got Talent” have grown accustomed to seeing Heidi Klum using her trademark “hand binoculars” at the judges’ table. The other judges often make fun of her, but Heidi remains adamant that the quirky hand gesture helps her see better. In a recent video interview with NBC (watch above), Heidi explains, “There is so much light and colors and things going on [in the studio], that sometimes it is very hard to focus in on the act.”
Heidi urges viewers at home to “try this once and then you’ll see what I mean.” The German model and actress later admits that she knows they aren’t “real” binoculars, laughing, “I know that it’s not coming closer to me. They’re just really to block the light out.” Klum first joined NBC’s talent competition program in Season 8, where she has appeared in every cycle since except...

One of the front-runners to win “America’s Got Talent” Season 16, a singer named Nightbirde, has just made the difficult decision to withdraw from the show due to her battle with cancer. “Since my audition, my health has taken a turn for the worse and the fight with cancer is demanding all of my energy and attention,” she wrote on Instagram. “I am so sad to announce that I won’t be able to continue forward on this season of ‘AGT.’ Life doesn’t always give breaks to those that deserve it — but we knew that already.” Read her full statement:

“America’s Got Talent” found us a new Season 16 contestant to love Tuesday with the introduction of Dylan Zangwill, a 14-year-old boy who has an impressive set of pipes. The teen competitor used his voice to channel Freddie Mercury in an unbelievable rendition of Queen’s “Somebody to Love.”
Dylan, who is from Exton, Pennsylvania, played the piano and sang during his performance of the classic Queen track for “AGT” judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel and host Terry Crews.
It only took until the very first high note in the song (around the 1:10 mark) for the audience to begin to cheer as Zangwill’s Mercury-like energy became apparent.
Though we could barely stand on our feet when Dylan was done, he managed to get three of the judges up on theirs and rallied the audience for a standing ovation, too.

“America’s Got Talent” season 16 continues on July 13 with more initial auditions showcasing the best (and worst) from the first stage of the competition. In this phase of “AGT,” an act needs at least three of the four judges to give them a “yes” vote to advance to the next round. If two or more judges buzz the act, it is immediately eliminated. Each judge, along with host Terry Crews, had one chance to hit the “golden buzzer” and send an act straight through to the live performances, but on July 6 all four judges and Terry broke with tradition by giving the first ever group golden buzzer to 9 year old singer Victory Brinker.
The fifth week, Heidi made her choice for quick-change artist Lea Kyle, the first in that discipline to ever receive the golden buzzer. Lea impressed Heidi and the rest of the judges by showing them aspects of the...

Victory Brinker is only nine years old, but you’d never be able to tell by hearing her sing. The talented classical singer left the entire country in awe of her voice after her audition on America’s Got Talent. As soon as she opened her mouth, the judges couldn’t believe what they were hearing. Her poise and the amount of control she had over her voice is something you just don’t see often. At the end of her performance, Victory became the first person in America’s Got Talent history to get a Golden Buzzer from all of the judges. Victory was

“America’s Got Talent” gave out its first-ever collective Golden Buzzer on Tuesday’s show, when judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara and host Terry Crews all decided to hit that big shiny button for 9-year-old contestant Victory Brinker.
In the video above, you’ll see Victory give her show-stopping performance of “Juliet’s Waltz” from the opera “Roméo et Juliette.” Her spectacular rendition wowed the audience and the judges alike.
Mandel told Victory: “I was not expecting that and you’re angelic. I loved it. I loved it.”
“I loved it, too,” Klum added. “You have a beautiful voice. It was incredible. You are incredible”
Vergara concurred: “I agree, you are a star. I think you have a powerful voice. That was amazing, I really loved it.”
Then they asked Cowell to weigh in.

By the time 9-year-old Victory Brinker took the “America’s Got Talent” stage for her audition on July 6, all five of the season’s Golden Buzzers had already been distributed. So when the judges realized that her opera singing performance was worthy of the show’s highest accolade, Simon Cowell had no option but to switch things up. He called host Terry Crews to the judges’ table to confer with the panel before delivering the news that Victory would receive the first-ever group Golden Buzzer!
Victory came to the stage enthusiastically, but as a young kid also noticeably shy–she called her feelings as “exnervous,” a combination of excited and nervous. Her shyness didn’t stop her from declaring that if she wins the million dollars that she’ll purchase a “rainbow shirt with glitter” for Simon who she says wears too much black and white.

The only thing more surprising than the stunning final performance on Tuesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent was what happened next.
Victory Brinker, a precocious young singer, had the judges wrapped around her finger before she even sang a note, thanks to her sassy critique of Simon Cowell’s questionable fashion sense. (“You need some color!”) And then she sang… opera! With a voice far beyond her years, Brinker lulled the judges into a stupor before melting their faces with a powerful finish. The performance was so incredible, it literally summoned a bird.
