Genre icon Barbara Crampton makes sure to keep busy in the horror world. As we covered earlier today, a character with her voice and likeness will soon be added to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game, and now a trailer for another Crampton project – the horror film Snow Valley – has arrived online. You can check it out in the embed above. Gravitas Ventures holds the worldwide rights to Snow Valley and are planning to give the film a March 26th release.
The feature directorial debut of writer Brandon Murphy, who sadly passed away while the movie was in post-production, Snow Valley tells the following story: A newly engaged couple’s swank ski weekend goes horribly awry, when an unexpected guest arrives and the house’s dark supernatural forces begin to rise on the anniversary of a tragic event.

The AMPTP has existed in one form or another for almost a century, but the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers as we now know it was created in early 1982. It came together in the wake of a three-month strike by the Writers Guild of America in 1981 that had come hot on the heels of a three-month actors strike in 1980. Hollywood's battle-worn studios and television networks agreed to form a single organization that would negotiate with the guilds on behalf of all of them. After all, if the strikes had taught them anything, it's that there's strength in numbers.
"By having a unified position in the industry, we have less chance of that kind of disruption," proclaimed Nick Counter III, the first president of this new-and-improved AMPTP.
Six years later, Counter was negotiating against the longest writers strike in the history of Hollywood. He died in 2009, not long after...

Exclusive: Manny Coto died on July 9th at the age of 62. Nearly 35 years to the day earlier, he and I are on Beverly Boulevard picketing in front of CBS.
I’ve been a WGA member for about four months and Manny for maybe eight. To say we are wet behind the ears is an insult to moisture. As always, we are having a blast because everything we do together is fun. It’s how we have survived trying to break into show business. It’s amazing how doing something alongside your best friend never really feels daunting. Anyhow, we are in one of those long loops that keeps doubling back on itself once you reach the end of the line. And Manny suddenly says, “Holy shit, that’s Harlan Ellison we just passed!” I only know the name, but, along with Gene Roddenberry, Ellison is a particular hero of Manny...

Exclusive: Ryan Phillippe (American Murderer), Emile Hirsch (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) and Mena Suvari (American Horror Story) will topline Kalahari, a new action thriller from Vertical, which has wrapped production.
Vertical fully financed the pic and has taken North American rights, with Voltage Pictures locking down rights for all international territories, preparing now to present the film to buyers at Cannes.
In the film written and directed by Mukunda Michael Dewil (Collide), a young couple is forced to flee their Christian missionary post in the Kalahari Desert aboard a rickety plane after an extremist militant group threatens their lives.
