Captain Kerry Titheradge’s words to chief stew Fraser Olender at the start of this week’s Below Deck are meant to be encouraging. Sure, Barbie Pascual may have an attitude problem that needs to be addressed, but there’s no question that the stew knows her stuff. It’s why the Captain tells Fraser that he should take a deep breath and try to make things work with Barbie, as her skills can be a great asset to the ship.
“One thing I’ve noticed with my conversation with Fraser is that there’s a lot of emotion involved,” Captain Kerry says in a confessional after the exchange. “If she’s good at what she does, you can utilize that. You don’t have to like her. Let’s find a way for her to shine.”

The 2008’s Journey To The Center Of The Earth, based on the novel by Jules Verne, starring Brendan Fraser and Josh Hutcherson has been a classic film, that earned repeated viewership. It took a village of Denis Villeneuve’s most trusted artisans to pull off “Dune: Part Two’s” epic Harkonnen arena fight scene.
As epic as its predecessor, Villeneuve’s sequel raises the bar with striking visuals. None is more jaw-dropping than Feyd-Rautha’s (Austin Butler) celebration sequence. The grand fight occurs early on in the film as the Baron Vladimir Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgard) and Lady Margot Fenring (Lea Seydoux) join the inhabitants of Giedi Prime to watch. It was up to cinematographer Greig Fraser who shot the sequence on black-and-white infrared to deliver Villeneuve’s vision.
Fraser was no stranger to using infrared lighting.
He had used it on 2012’s “Zero Dark Thirty” and 2016’s “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” “It’s the same light the security camera uses, and you don’t see it. So, my fascination with infrared started because our eyes can’t see it,...

One of the most notable features in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two is the black-and-white aesthetics used in Austin Butler’s scenes. While viewers may assume this is another stylistic choice to amplify the ruthlessness of the Giedi Prime and its inhabitants, there is actually a deeper, more complex meaning.
Austin Butler in Dune: Part Two
The movie franchise never fails to impress the audience with its brilliant cinematography and spectacular views amid its wild and unforgiving terrains. The monochromatic palette of the Giedi Prime serves as a contrast to the arid landscapes of Arrakis.

Below Deck star Barbie Pascual isn’t shy about speaking her mind, and that’s exactly what she did with Andy Cohen.
After a drama-filled episode of Below Deck where Fraser Olender wanted Barbie fired, she stopped by Watch What Happens Live.

Exclusive: Fifth Season is selling more than $1B worth of Apple TV+ content including Jason Momoa-starrer See, Nicole Kidman’s Roar and M. Night Shyamalan’s Servant at the London TV Screenings.

From uncertainties about the saga’s eventual success – which in retrospect makes us all wonder how studio executives thought this could ever flop at the box office – to the numerous changes in its release date, Dune: Part Two took its time to reach audiences all over the world… but here we are, with one of the most anticipated sequels of the century finally landing on the big screens. As an avid fan of sci-fi/fantasy epics, of Denis Villeneuve – my favorite contemporary filmmaker – and, of course, his first film from 2021, my expectations could not have been set any higher.
Dune: Part Two continues the story of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) who now joins forces with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen to avenge the conspiracy that destroyed his family. Faced with a choice between love and the fate of the universe, Paul must fight to avoid the terrible future only he can foresee.

Russell Crowe has had several brushes with the law over the years — and it turns out that one of his distant ancestors was also something of a rogue.
The Gladiator actor has been delving into his family history and was surprised to discover that he is related to the last man to be beheaded in the Tower of London.
In a series of posts on Twitter (now X), Crowe said he is “directly” connected through his father’s mother to Simon Fraser, 11th Lord Lovat.
Crowe was born in New Zealand, where relatives on his father’s side can be traced back to John Fraser, who arrived in the country in 1841.
“He’s quite the character. The Old Fox they used to call him,” Crowe said, somewhat admiringly of Simon Fraser, a “devious” Jacobite who was executed in 1747.
Legend has it that Fraser’s death coined the phrase “laughing his head off.

If there's one thing I've learned from watching countless horror movies and episodes of "Scooby-Doo," it's that you don't mess with mummies. It's a superstition that's held so strong over the years that even when visiting museums, I tend to respectfully steer clear of the ancient Egypt exhibits. Myths about the latent powers of mummified royals have been around for ages, and many of them have been unfortunately influenced by stereotype-heavy depictions of Egypt and surrounding African and Middle Eastern cultures. Regardless of how much the world now knows about ancient Egyptian burial rituals, when most American moviegoers picture a mummy in their mind's eye these days, they're as likely to think about a Universal Pictures movie monster as they are the real thing.

The 1935 Best Actor lineup at the Academy Awards featured three Oscar newcomers in the forms of Clark Gable, Frank Morgan (“The Affair of Cellini”), and William Powell (“The Thin Man”), with Gable winning. Then came an 88-year gap. It wasn’t until earlier this year that voters nominated another lineup in this category made entirely out of first-time nominees. The Remarkable Return of Brendan Fraser The journey of Brendan Fraser back to the limelight is one that resonates with the idea of a true Hollywood comeback. Notably absent from leading roles for over a decade, his performance in ‘The Whale’ marks a significant return. Fraser embodies the character of Charlie, a man grappling with his health and estranged relationships, a role that required a remarkable physical and emotional transformation. As soon as he left my office after our first meeting, I felt it, said the film’s director, capturing the moment he knew Fraser was perfect for this challenging part.

Freddy was embarrassed to admit that he had not financially contributed anything to the house, which may have forced him to lie about the date. Dr. Frasier reaches home only for Freddy’s lies to be caught by the woman, but she is not offended by them.

Outlander star Caitriona Balfe recently dished on some behind-the-scenes intricacies. Among the revelations, she spotlighted a co-star that adds a touch of ‘chaos’ amid the time-traveling drama.
It’s no secret that Outlander boasts a rich tapestry of human and animal characters. Yet, as Balfe divulged, working with the latter can sometimes disrupt the seamless flow of production.
Caitriona Balfe reveals which one of her co-stars is ‘Chaos’ on set
Balfe recently shared insights into the filming intricacies of Outlander, particularly the challenges of capturing a drama that traverses various epochs.
One of the biggest difficulties is managing animals on set, which can be a major problem as Outlander features many animals every season.
According to Express, Balfe and executive producer Maril Davis delved into the complexities of incorporating animals into their episodes.
Davis remarked on the occasional need to swap out their Rollos, depending on the shooting schedule and how the animals are behaving.

The last Academy Awards, which saw “Everything Everywhere All at Once” win Best Picture, featured a history-making lineup in the Best Actor category. All five of the nominees were newcomers: Brendan Fraser won for “The Whale” while Austin Butler (“Elvis”), Paul Mescal (“Aftersun”), Bill Nighy (“Living”), and Colin Farrell (“The Banshees of Inisherin”) all reaped their first bids.
That was the first time this happened since 1935 when there were only three Best Actor nominees: Clark Gable (“It Happened One Night”), Frank Morgan (“The Affairs of Cellini”), and William Powell (“The Thin Man”); Gable won. But after such a long gap between those two records, could we have a case of London buses and see another Best Actor lineup full of newcomers again at this year’s Oscars? Let’s take a look.

British voices carry more than people from most other nations. It’s especially true in a city such as London, where it feels like you’re privy to everyone else’s personal lives as you’re going about your own day. This sense of eavesdropping on other people’s narratives is excellently, mysteriously explored in Jamie Fraser’s Green Space, which uses a fixed-vantage point to observe several interweaving narratives within Burgess Park, South London. Mixing oddball comedy with slice-of-life drama, the story gets great mileage out of this green, luscious location, subtly developing over the course of 24 hours. Particularly impressive is the way the space is mapped, creating a panorama of British life that spans from the banal to the monumental, all captured from the same view. We caught up with Writer/Director Fraser to talk about being inspired by landscape paintings, the fine line interconnected narratives have to...

War is ugly, but every once in a while, even those in the thick of it catch a break.
After being captured by the Redcoats on Outlander Season 7 Episode 6, Claire caught such a break.
But even catching that break, this war will feel like an eternity as long as Jamie and his son are in opposition.
As I've noted before, I've not read far enough in the Outlander books to know if William ever becomes aware that Jamie is his birth father, but signs keep pointing in that direction.
Now that he's in America, he's crossing paths with the family on multiple occasions, and I can't help but sense that he will soon feel conflicted about his allegiance to the Crown.
William was raised by good people. He's got kindness in his heart, and even in short interactions with him, Claire realized how much he's like the husband she loves so much.

Fort Ticonderoga has been captured by the British as Starz’s Outlander season seven episode six, “Where the Waters Meet,” begins. After being delayed, Lt. William Ransom (Charles Vandervaart) finally arrives at the fort and reports in to General Simon Fraser (Angus MacFadyen). General Burgoyne ordered him to report to the forward command.
Fraser notes that not a single shot was fired and that the Continental Army fled, leaving behind supplies including their cannons. However, William’s in time for the next battle as they’ve been ordered to pursue the rebels south. Fraser explains their plans, and William deduces the British are going to isolate New England from the other colonies.

In the seventh season of the popular Starz series Outlander, time travel is once again a big plot device that separates the Fraser family across the centuries, and this time it’s Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) who are in “the future” with their children Jem and Mandy, while Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) are still in the past, facing the onset of the American Revolutionary War. But Roger and Bree seem to have some mysterious company at Lallybroch!
In the latest episode of the show, “Singapore”, Brianna is having a hard time at her new engineering job, where she faces misogyny from her male co-workers. [This interview was conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike authorization.] Being the new kids on the loch with a hit show like Outlander could be intimidating. Not for Izzy Meikle-Small and Joey Phillips, who debuted in last week’s episode as peaceful Quaker siblings Rachel Hunter and her physician brother, Denzell. The actors say they received a warm welcome from stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, who’ve played Claire and Jamie Fraser since the time travel romance first won our hearts in 2014. “They were like, ‘How’s it all going? We want to hear your experiences, is there anything we can help with?’ They’re great leaders on set,” Meikle-Small told us when we spoke with her and Phillips about the harrowing fifth episode. Like many on Outlander before them, the Hunters survived a brutal betrayal and attack that could have left both dead. And, also like many before them, they were saved by someone with...

Starz’s Outlander season seven episode five splits time between Brianna starting work in her new job as Plant Inspector and Jamie, Claire, and Ian’s experiences in Fort Ticonderoga.
The episode begins with Brianna (Sophie Skelton) finding Jemmy and Mandy in the old family graveyard and reminding them it’s not a playground. Jem admits that Mandy wanted to speak to granddad, although no one knows if that’s where he’s buried. Bree agrees it’s possible, and Jem confesses that he built a cairn for Jamie.
It’s too difficult for Bree even to enter the graveyard, so she remains at the gate. She’s not ready to take that step yet.
Bree returns home and holds more of her mom and dad’s letters. Roger (Richard Rankin) joins her, and she explains that the kids visit Jamie...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Outlander Season 7 Episode 4, “A Most Uncomfortable Woman.”] Outlander‘s latest installment has sent Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) north to Fort Ticonderoga, as they join the rebels on the American Revolutionary War front — but not before a shocking reunion took place in Wilmington. Intending to travel to Scotland, the Frasers find themselves changing course, particularly Jamie who is conscripted into the fight. Fresh off of losing their home at Fraser’s Ridge to a fire, they’re still coming to terms with the situation and this shift in their plans. While completing errands around town though, Claire bumps into none other than Tom Christie (Mark Lewis Jones), who she assumed was dead; he took the fall for Malva’s (Jessica Reynolds) murder in the first episode, allowing Claire to be released from prison. What’s more startling is that Tom doesn’t utter a word but plants...

Jamie and Claire's trip to Scotland has been cut short due to the Revolutionary War that's afoot, but we still get our Scottish fix through Brianna, Roger, and the kids, who are remodeling her ancestral home.
The best-laid plans are often scuttled, but never more than during times of war.
Let's start talking about Outlander Season 7 Episode 4.
Brianna and Roger adjust to life in the 1980s
As much as I feel for the Fraser family being torn apart at the seams through time travel, joining Brianna and Roger in the '80s is worth it.
Claire has already had her chance at an incredible career in the 20th Century, and Brianna deserves the same.
If you didn't grow up when I did, it's hard to believe that it wasn't that long ago that women's place in the corporate world was most often relegated to the secretarial arts.

My prayers at the altar of Dougal MacKenzie, patron saint of bushy eyebrows, have been answered: Starz’s Outlander chose to condense the Great Dismal Swamp part of An Echo in the Bone so greatly, it all fits into a small piece of this week’s episode, thank sweet baby Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ.
You all know I love Diana Gabaldon’s books. I’m usually very happy to meander wherever she wants to take me, and for however many pages she sees fit. But the chunk of her seventh Outlander novel that takes place in the Great Dismal Swamp just feels interminable.

Brendan Fraser dominated the silver screens throughout the 90s and early aughts. With his performance in blockbusters like George of the Jungle and The Mummy films, Fraser established himself as one of the biggest movie stars of the time. Away from the action-packed films, Fraser demonstrated versatility. This came with notable performances in the drama films Gods and Monsters and, The Quiet American. By the mid-aughts, Fraser had become Hollywood’s heartthrob and kept everyone enthused about his next projects. However, as the new millennium unfolded, his presence gradually diminished. While he’s now made a remarkable resurgence, aptly dubbed the “Brenaissance,”...

Tom Christie gave his life for Claire's, but that doesn't mean it's all roses from here on out.
Outlander Season 7 Episode 2 brought children to the forefront, and not all stories have such similarly happy endings.
And not all have the gift of time travel to ensure safe outcomes, even in the most dire circumstances.

What do we learn from the dead, if not the lessons of life? What had Tom Christie taught me since he surely was gone by now? His sacrifice reminded me that we should make an effort to truly live, count our lives in thoughts, feelings, breaths, and heartbeats, not the number of days, months, or years because tomorrow is not promised.

There aren’t many actors out there who get the chance to build career as varied and eclectic as Brendan Fraser. After some small roles in a handful of TV movies, Fraser had a phenomenal year in 1992. The two movies from that year saw that him skyrocket to new-found fame were Encino Man, and School Ties. While Encino Man showcased his faculty to lead a comedy picture, School Ties demonstrated Fraser’s dynamic range in a much more dramatic affair. Fraser soon amassed widespread attention when he forefronted The Mummy in 1999. The film spawned two sequels and crowned him a...

A lot has happened on “Outlander” since the show first premiered in 2014. The time-traveling romantic drama has set plots in motion that have spanned centuries, continents, multiple wars, and multiple imprisonments. Unspeakable horrors have happened, as well as unspeakably steamy love scenes. And so, with the arrival of season seven, you naturally have to ask: Where does the show go from here?
As always with “Outlander,” with season seven the answer appears to be “a whole lot of places,” at least considering the four episodes that were provided to critics.

Navi Mumbai, May 20 (Ians) Wolverhampton Wanderers Fc scored twice early to bag a 2-0 victory against the Reliance Foundation Young Champs in their Premier League Next Generation Cup fixture here on Saturday.
