Carey is an experienced Film & TV Entrepreneur, Executive Producer, Mentor & Lecturer in Film & TV with a long history in all areas of production, distribution, advertising, financing & global sales and marketing. Over the years she has enjoyed Oscar Nominations and Festival Selections along with a very wide range of commercially successful TV commissions. She founded High Point Films & TV in 1990, which she ran for over two decades and built it into one of the most established independent global film, TV and digital rights management companies in Europe.
She is currently (2021) the Founder and Managing Director of Silver Mountain Productions, the Irish production, distribution & training business, and is a Partner and Producer with Len Collin in the UK's Ballpoint Films and Co-Chair of BOFTV (Business of Film & TV) whose aim is to bridge the gap between academia and the media industry. She is a Business Mentor for a number of organisations including Screen Skills Ireland, Women in Film & TV and Birds Eye View as well as a a Visiting Lecturer and Academic Tutor in Film & TV for the University of Hertfordshire & The University of Sunderland
In addition to the above, Carey is the Co-Chair of the London based social inclusion charity, Ashford Place.
