David Choe, the star of Netflix’s new hit series “Beef,” is an artist and an actor. But his performance in the series isn’t what has people talking — it’s an admission he made back in 2014 detailing how he sexually assaulted a masseuse, which he later said he made up and called “bad storytelling.” Critics have labeled him a rapist and have called for a boycott of the show.
Here’s everything to know about David Choe.
Who is David Choe?
Born in Los Angeles on April 21, 1976, Choe spent most of his upbringing raised by his Korean immigrant parents in the Koreatown neighborhood. During his teens, he became a spray paint artist, which ultimately led to his full-scale career as a painter, mural artist and art creative. After a short stint attending California College of the Arts and Crafts in Oakland, he went on to self-publish a graphic novel called “Slow Jams,...

2017 was all about politics, scandal and a royal proposal -- at least, according to Google.
The tech company released their end-of-year search data on Wednesday, revealing some unsurprising trends in their most-searched celebs. They also tracked the year in pop culture with the biggest movies, TV, music and more.
Despite a fairly-recent scandal, newly-fired Todayshow host Matt Lauer found himself atop the list of most-searched people. The news anchor was ousted from his long-tenured position at NBC following allegations of sexual misconduct and "inappropriate workplace behavior."
Scandal also landed celebs like Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey and Kathy Griffin in the top 10. Perhaps the only two non-controversial entries were Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot and actress Meghan Markle.
Markle, who also landed at the No. 1 spot on the most-searched actors list, is, of course, in the news for her recent engagement to Prince Harry. The royal pair confirmed their plans to wed in late November, with reported plans for...

Months after Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington was found dead in his California home on July 20, autopsy results reveal precisely what substances were in his system before he took his own life by hanging.
Autopsy and toxicology documents filed by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office and obtained by People show that the singer had a minute amount of alcohol in his bloodstream. These findings seem to corroborate items that had been found at the scene by investigators, including a pint glass of Corona beer, an empty bottle of Stella Artois, and also a prescription bottle of Zolpidem, a generic of Ambien.

This year's American Music Awards featured some of the most amazing, gravity-defying, crowd-pleasing performances you could ever hope for -- but it also had its share of awkward presenters and bizarre celebrities acting like weirdos.

While Halsey is happy for her American Music Awards nomination, she's taking note of the fact that she's one of the only women who got one.
The largest fan-voted awards show unveiled its 2017 nominee list on Thursday, which was led by Bruno Mars with eight nominations, and followed by a four-way tie for second place, with Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran and The Chainsmokers getting five nods each.
However, what got the attention of many on social media, including singer Halsey -- who was nominated with The Chainsmokers for Collaboration of the Year and Favorite Pop/Rock Song -- is the large gender gap present on the nominees list. Apart from the categories specifically designated for female artists in fact, the overwhelming majority of the categories have no female nominees at all. Additionally, every act nominated for Artist of the Year is a man.

On Saturday, Talinda Bennington shared a video on Twitter showing her husband playing a game with his children. He and two others spun to see what jelly bean color they had to eat, not knowing if it was a traditional candy flavor or something disgusting.
Turns out, Chester’s flavor was “rotten eggs,” which he immediately spit out and laughed as he tried to get the gross taste out of his mouth.
