NCIS released a video featuring cast members discussing their time working with David McCallum.
David was beloved by the NCIS cast and crew, which was very evident in the tribute episode for Ducky.
He played Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard for years and left a lasting impact on his co-workers, friends, and fans.
An episode called The Stories We Leave Behind aired on February 19. It included a memorial card to show how much David is missed.
The episode focused on one last case that Ducky was working on, and the NCIS team did what it could to solve the mystery.
Some NCIS fans also caught the hint of Gibbs’ location that was featured early in the episode.
NCIS cast members share messages of love for David McCallum
The video below features many current NCIS cast members sharing fond memories of David McCallum.
Wilmer Valderrama (Agent Nick Torres) said he would never forget “how professional” David was.

Saying goodbye to Ducky was difficult for his colleagues at NCIS and viewers.
The current incarnation of the NCIS Major Crimes Response Team bid farewell to longtime medical examiner Donald "Ducky" Mallard on NCIS Season 21 Episode 2.
But only about half of this squad really knew Dr. Mallard, who started fading into retirement about four seasons ago: Jimmy Palmer (his protege), Kasie Hines (his scribe), and Tim McGee, the only agent to go back nearly as far as he did.
That isn't to say the rest of them didn't know and respect the legend of Ducky. But of those, only Nick Torres and Director Vance had much professional overlap with him.
Otherwise, Ducky was that cool old guy who would stop by and maybe consult when he wasn't busy with a book tour or a teaching job. And let's not forget his official role as NCIS historian, combining two of his passions.

Though TVLine has made a case for why any number of cast members/characters from NCIS‘ past could/should return for any possible on-screen tribute to the late David McCallum, there are also very valid reasons why that RSVP list might turn out to be quite limited.

Award-winning and Emmy-nominated actress Melanie Lynskey brings her skillful storytelling and deft character voices to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's free children’s literacy program Storyline Online by reading Memoirs of a Hamster, written by Devin Scillian, illustrated by Tim Bowers and published by Sleeping Bear Press.
Melanie Lynskey reads Memoirs of a Hamster
The New Zealand native shares her humor and humanity throughout this pet tale, which will have children laughing and learning about how to embrace life’s small joys, and foster gratitude for all that one has.
Memoirs of a Hamster follows the day-to-day life of Seymour the hamster who is quite comfortable in his humble cage until Pearl the cat lures Seymour into the wide-open house with false promises of staircases made of sunflower seeds and a sunroom filled with yogurt drops. It all sounds too good to be true (turns out Seymour’s instincts are right!

Mike Flanagan is back with his new horror series, The Fall of the House of Usher, an adaptation of the famous Edgar Allan Poe short story, and as you would expect, he has pretty much delivered it. It does have all the familiar traits of Flanagan’s work, along with a dash of snarky, Succession-like humor. The series has at least two standout acting performances, which is also something we get to see in most Flanagan projects. With The Fall of the House of Usher now out in the open, I thought it was a good time to make a list of the best acting performances in Mike Flanagan movies and series. We have picked ten performances, and believe me, it was not an easy thing to do.

In the movie, she essayed the role of the villainous scientist Vicky. Talking about her character, she said that Vicky is a deluded personality who doesn’t see herself as the villain despite being one.
Detailing her role, Henson said: “I love how she plays against the ‘mad scientist’ thing. That term really rubs Vicky the wrong way. When Lynnette Ramirez, president of Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance’s eponymous production company, logs onto Zoom to discuss the release of “Heist 88,” the company’s first feature, with Variety, her virtual background catches the eye. It’s a black-and-white photo of two children — a little boy and a little girl — alongside the Bassett Vance Productions logo.
It doesn’t take long to recognize that the striking shot is a family photo — and the two kids are the Hollywood power couple’s now-teenage twins Bronwyn and Slater Vance.
“This company is about legacy,” Ramirez says. “And not just their family’s legacy — but it certainly feels like that’s where the heart is.”
Indeed, Bassett Vance Productions is a family business, but it’s more than that. Formally founded in 2020 as one of the partnering companies with MTV Entertainment Group’s development program for Bipoc and women filmmakers,...

A scene from ‘Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie’ from Spin Master Entertainment, Nickelodeon Movies, and Paramount Pictures
The pups devoted to rescue are back up on the big screen and this time with superpowers in Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, the animated sequel to 2021’s Paw Patrol: The Movie.
The PG-rated film begins with a meteor headed straight for Adventure City, thanks to the work of mad scientist Victoria Vance (voiced by Taraji P. Henson). Naturally, the Paw Patrol kicks into action, working to clear the streets and get everyone out of the way of the gigantic crashing rock.
No one is injured, thanks to the quick work of the Paw Patrol. However, the crash of the meteor exposed the young pups to powerful energy crystals that had been hidden inside the space rock. Once released, these crystals give the Paw Patrol members superpowers.

Bank robbers tend to be fairly easy to root for in movies. After all, it’s not the audience’s money getting pocketed onscreen. They typically don’t want to kill anybody, and their schemes tend to be pretty spectacular. “Heist 88,” a new Showtime release inspired by a real-life Chicago robbery from the year 1988, doesn’t trust viewers to be so accepting, so it spends most of its time underlining the generic reasons that its aggrieved crack team have for taking on the job. It’s a crime film that finds little joy in criminality, crammed with characters who’ve been backed into a corner, hindered by an overarching morality that doesn’t match the material.

Parents, the holiday season is fast approaching, and the good folks behind the Paw Patrol franchise have figured out a new way to separate you and your money. Their second theatrical film involves the adorable do-gooding pups being transformed into superheroes by a magical meteor. So thanks to Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, there will undoubtedly be a whole new product line in stores featuring the newly minted “Mighty Pups,” sporting all-new superhero costumes and accessories. Consider this a warning, and you’re welcome.
Now to the movie, arriving two years after the surprise success of the Paw Patrol’s theatrical debut. This sequel, which will certainly give birth to many more installments (a third one has already been announced), features as its chief villain Victoria Vance (voiced by Taraji P. Henson, sounding like she’s having fun), a mad scientist who chafes at being referred to as a “mad scientist.

The first of Donald Trump’s four upcoming criminal trials has been set for March 4, just one day before Super Tuesday. But, on this Tuesday morning, “Morning Joe” host Willie Geist wondered if that date actually helps Trump’s claims of biased treatment.
Speaking to MSNBC legal analyst Joyce Vance, Geist posed the question of whether Judge Tanya Chutkan should’ve considered Super Tuesday when picking a date for the federal trial (this one regarding Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election).
“Because the case that Donald Trump and his lawyers have made is that this is the Biden Justice Department trying to intervene in the election and prevent Donald Trump from being reelected,” Geist explained. “And in some ways, it makes his case for him.”
He continued, “When he says ‘Look I should be out campaigning, this is a big day on the 5th, the next day. Instead I...

On July 13, as SAG-AFTRA leadership declared the union was going on strike, SAG-AFTRA Foundation president Courtney B. Vance and executive director Cyd Wilson drafted a letter to 2,700 of the union’s highest-earning actors outlining the financial need that many would face in the work stoppage.

The death date arrived on Manifest Season 4 Episode 20, but the Netflix hit left one character's fate up in the air.
Yes, we're talking about Captain Daly (Frank Deal).
Thankfully, Netflix's Tudum unveiled never-before-seen footage, which clears up that mystery grisly.
While many characters, including Angelina, turned to ash before the remaining survivors went through The Glow to get another chance, Captain Daly was last seen when he was killed off earlier in the season.
The exciting scene picked up after the passengers left the plane for the final time in 2013.
Vance was shown in the Manifest series finale to be rushing onto the plane after everyone left to investigate the 11 missing passengers.
Thanks to the deleted scene, we know what happened, and it's exactly what you expected -- we think.
As Vance and his fellow agents arrive on the plane, they find Captain Daly in a small area of the aircraft.

Ohio Senator J.D. Vance has vowed to “grind [the Justice Department] to a halt” in response to the indictment of Donald Trump on charges related to his treatment of classified documents after leaving office.

Vance posted a video from the steps of the Capitol earlier in the day declaring that he “will be holding all Department of Justice nominees … I think that we have to grind this department to a halt until [Attorney General] Merrick Garland promises to do his job and stop going after his political opponents.

Remember when Josh Dallas told TV Insider that there was more to the Manifest series finale? Well, now we know exactly what it entailed, thanks to Tudum posting it. The Manifest series finale saw the passengers, on their Death Date, re-board Flight 828, face their judgment, then find themselves disembarking in New York on April 7, 2013, as they would have if their plane hadn’t disappeared. But Vance (Daryl Edwards) still had a mystery to solve: What happened to the 11 passengers who vanished from the flight? After raving that he’d love to work with Edwards again and therefore hopes that Ben does track down Vance anyway, Dallas shared with us that there was a teaser scene he was not in that was filmed but cut from the finale. “It sort of opens the story a little bit — or a lot — for further journeys to happen,” he said, admitting at the time...

Some movies — many movies — are less than the sum of their parts. Downtown Owl, the story of a newbie teacher’s flailing and drinking and heartfelt, awkward encounters in a fictional North Dakota town, has the distinction of being precisely the sum of its parts. That’s not a knock; those ingredients are never less than engaging, driven by a playful and dynamic cinematic sensibility and a strong cast, Lily Rabe holding the center with vibrant luminosity and comic chops to spare. Rabe also steers the movie’s helm, alongside her life partner and fellow actor Hamish Linklater, and the tyro directors manage to thread a tricky needle with their first feature, navigating the chasm and the overlap between agitated and quiet, between cartoon brightness and angst.

For all involved, prolific author and cultural critic Chuck Klosterman’s 2008 book “Downtown Owl” sets the stage for a number of firsts. For starters, it’s Klosterman’s earliest fiction novel and is the source at the heart of Lily Rabe (“The Tender Bar”) and Hamish Linklater’s (“Midnight Mass”) joint directorial debut which just premiered at the Tribeca Festival.
If only the freshness associated with all these firsts was felt in the film by Rabe and Linklater, who are both creative collaborators and real-life partners. Instead, something feels stale, strange and out-of-focus right at the start of “Downtown Owl,” a cold and aimless 91-minute feature that makes its compact runtime feel anything but, while broadly navigating its small town rural tale with little insight and even less purpose.
The set-up of the script is promising enough, introducing us to the fictional town of Owl, North Dakota (Klosterman’s home...

Christmas has come early for Alan Ritchson.
The star of Reacher is set to star in The Man With the Bag, a holiday family comedy that Adam Shankman will direct for Amazon Studios. Allan Rice (Stuck in the Middle) wrote the script for the feature project, which is in development.
Man With the Bag’s plot is set in motion when Santa’s magical bag of gifts is stolen, forcing him to turn to his naughty list to find help. He enlists Vance (Ritchson), a charming thief fresh out of prison who is trying to go straight, while attempting to spend a normal, crime-free Christmas with his family. The thief, with the help of his daughter and a group of misfit elves, then must pull off the greatest heist of his life to save Christmas
On top of starring, Ritchson will also produce. Lawrence Grey, Ben Everard, Reg Tigerman and Dan Spilo are also producing.

This article contains spoilers for the Manifest series finale.
Over the four seasons of Manifest’s run, it hasn’t always been clear how the show’s sci-fi elements were related to each other. Why, for example, was it necessary for the passengers of Flight 828 to jump forward in time 5 years in order to receive their special prophetic abilities? But in the series’ final episodes, there was a surprising amount of clarity and closure provided for these bigger mysteries along with many more happy endings than most viewers likely expected.
In fact, let’s go ahead and speculate about that example question above. Was the five-year time jump designed to give a plane full of passengers just enough time for the maximum number of them to find a path to redemption, forgiveness, and general goodheartedness towards humanity? Would a smaller leap not have created enough disruption to tragically shake up...

The following contains major spoilers from Manifest Season 4, Part 2, including the series finale. Proceed accordingly.

Eight months can change everything. On Manifest Season 4 Episode 17, we pick up following a lengthy time-jump, taking us to weeks before the Death Date.
While the pace of the second half of Manifest Season 4 has been shaky, there were good and bad developments as we inch closer to the series finale.
The D.C. thriving under the most harrowing circumstances wasn't a surprise. Vance knew there would come a point resources would be limited, but he understood that Ben needed to be in charge.
Under Ben's leadership, it's astounding just how far these people cut off from society have come.
If you watch Manifest online, you know the government and media wanted them to disappear and cut them off, but they've been a symbol of hope during some of their roughest times.
It's unfortunate that their resources and power would implode just one month out from the Death Date, but hey,...

Manifest excels when it delivers new tidbits about the show's biggest mysteries.
Unfortunately, Manifest Season 4 Episode 16 was bogged down by melodrama that was only moderately appealing, and fewer answers than ever.
That's not to say it was a bad episode; it just didn't deliver the action and intrigue expected from one of the final five episodes.
The chaos at the compound increased the stakes like never before, so forgive me for feeling a little short-changed that Ben managed to give everyone trapped inside some hope they could make this a home worth living in.
Zimmer's decision to cut off the compound and create an armed force around it so that no one would get in or out was despicable, but it was just par for the course when you consider her previous actions this season.
Dr. Gupta must be the person who was one step ahead of Saanvi and Ben,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for all of Manifest.] The man who started it all for the 828ers — “You’ve all been missing, presumed dead, for five and a half years,” Vance (Daryl Edwards) told them in the pilot — seemingly teed up a potential continuation for their story in the Manifest series finale, streaming June 2 on Netflix. After the 828ers got back on the plane and survived their judgments, they found themselves disembarking in New York on April 7, 2013, as they would have if their flight hadn’t disappeared. And as Ben (Josh Dallas) left the airport with Grace (Athena Karkanis), Vance walked by with a new puzzle: This time when the plane landed, 11 passengers had vanished from Flight 828. So does Ben track down Vance after that? Dallas sure hopes so. “I love that dynamic so much, and I love Daryl Edwards more than life itself,” he tells TV Insider. He then adds that there was a teaser scene...

It’s one day until the Death Date, and Ben’s been trying to keep the 828ers calm, assuring them it’s not over until it’s over.

The public’s being kept in the dark about the impending extinction-level event and have no idea what’s causing the seismic activity.
Troy (Ed Herbstman) suggests using an electromagnetic pulse to block the Ulf, and he’s ordered to try it first on the black box. Saanvi (Parveen Kaur) is concerned the experiment will wipe out the box’s data – but that won’t matter if the world ends anyway.

Netflix’s Manifest season four episode 17 takes an eight-month time jump to May 2, 2024, exactly one month prior to the Death Date. Drea (Ellen Tamaki) is about to give birth to Jared’s baby – which she didn’t tell him about when he got back together with Michaela – and returns home from shopping with her mom but won’t let her inside her the building. She claims she doesn’t want to show it off until she has it all fixed up, but the real reason is that there’s nothing inside.
She purchased the place near the detention center and has been busy attempting to break through the wall.
Inside the center, Ben (Josh Dallas) is now the unofficial mayor and everyone’s busy with their assigned jobs. There’s a healthy vegetable garden, but the rations are running low.

Jared and Michaela are reigniting their relationship and enjoying life away from the detention center as Netflix’s Manifest season four episode 16 opens. With Michaela’s dad resting peacefully upstairs, the couple get to know each other’s naked bodies once again.
The following morning, Jared (J.R. The detention center must be tracking Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh), so they can’t even make any phone calls.
Back at the detention center, Ben (Josh Dallas) is convinced everyone’s going to die, and it’s all his fault. He accidentally stopped the 828ers from receiving callings once he injected Angelina with Saanvi’s serum. Vance (Daryl Edwards) insists Ben had no way of knowing the callings would disappear.

Buckle up, Manifest Fanatics, because we're in for a wild ride to the finish line.
Manifest Season 4 Episode 11 set the wheels in motion for the final descent in an interesting fashion, but it took about half the episode for things to kick into high gear.
Manifest delivers stellar cliffhangers, but damn, I did not expect Captain Daly to resurface so soon -- or ever, to be honest.
In the name of bringing things full circle, "The Final Descent" featured many callbacks to past episodes, making it feel like everything we've witnessed on the series so far will come back into play before we reach the final scene.
Captain Daly's return was undoubtedly a shocker because it highlighted that while Vance and Saanvi may be connected, the government is hiding plenty from them.

The missing-plane drama Manifest has had a hell of a ride. First came the now infamous cancellation by NBC, followed by months of uncertainty over the show’s remaining two seasons and then culminating in a last-minute, 20-episode order from Netflix. The second half of the abbreviated final season will hit the streamer June 2 — right in the middle of the WGA strike that prohibits its prolific writer-showrunner, Jeff Rake, from promoting the series.
Luckily for the show, star Josh Dallas (who plays Flight 828 passenger Ben Stone and will appear at the Atx TV Festival with other castmembers June 1) is picking up the baton. He spoke to THR — while enjoying his time at home in L.A. with his wife, actress Ginnifer Goodwin, and their two young children after five years of production in New York — about Manifest‘s marquee ending and the state of episodic television going forward.

The news that Tina Turner passed away today brought swift reaction from some of the biggest names in music, sports, television and politics.
President Joe Biden issued a statement Wednesday afternoon:
Before she was the Queen of Rock and Roll, Tina Turner was a farmer’s daughter in Tennessee. As a child, she sang in the church choir before becoming one of the most successful recording artists of all time.
With 12 Grammy Awards, she was the only woman to win in the pop, rock, and R&b categories, a signal of her versatility, creativity, and broad appeal. Millions flocked to her concerts. Her high-octane dance performances were legendary. And her iconic hits – including “Proud Mary,” “The Best,” “What’s Love Got to Do with It” – continue to be treasured, and sung at full volume, by generations of fans.
In addition to being a once-in-a-generation talent that changed American music forever, Tina’s personal strength was remarkable.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the NCIS Season 20 finale “Black Sky.”] Sure, there’s a threat of a major attack on the U.S., but with one voicemail, that becomes the least interesting thing about the NCIS Season 20 finale. “Black Sky” sees Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) go undercover in prison to try to get more information out of Yuri about the impending terror attack that the team believes his father is behind. That’s easier said than done, especially once Yuri knows there’s an undercover agent there with him. That’s not enough to get Torres to agree to being pulled, despite Vance (Rocky Carroll) sending Parker (Gary Cole) to do just that. One of Yuri’s men, Lev, has Torres write down some basic information about himself for a background check — soon after the team had worried he hadn’t had enough time to memorize everything about his cover — and the muscle, Boris, is more...

As questions remain about what will be on The CW next season, the network has saved a canceled cable drama.
According to Deadline, the Nexstar-owned network has picked up 61st Street.
The Courtney B. Vance and Aunjanue Ellis drama series was canceled at AMC earlier this year, despite all second season episodes being in the can.
At the time, the reason for the cancellation was part of a cost-cutting measure, which found the network canceling a plethora of shows that had previously landed renewals.
The cast of 61st Street is rounded out by Holt McCallany, Tosin Cole, Andrene Ward-Hammond, and Bentley Green.
61st Street was initially picked up with a two-season order on AMC, with the second season being shot back-to-back with the first.
As a result, the entire second season had been filmed, meaning that finding another outlet for the show wouldn't be as tough.

Amid calls for The CW’s cancelled Winchesters to be saved, the network has come to a different series’ rescue: AMC’s previously shelved 61st Street.
The drama series, starring Courtney B. Vance and Aunjanue Ellis, previously aired its first season on AMC last spring. Season 2, though, was scrapped at the network before it could air, as part of a cost-cutting measure (despite the fact that all episodes had already been filmed).
