The highly-anticipated fourth and final season of TNT's unapologetically bold series will premiere on Sunday, December 26 at 9:00pm Et/Pt, it was announced today at the Television Critics Association (TCA) Summer Press Tour.
News of the final season premiere date comes over two years since Claws Season 3 wrapped.

Claws may be rearing its final chapter, but the TNT dramedy will go out with a bang, TBS/TNT/truTV boss Brett Weitz revealed on Wednesday.
“The Claws ending is fulfilling as an ending of a series as you could want. It’s exactly what Desna and her band would want you to see – a little bit of crazy, a lot of fun and the exhilarating ending to a great series run,” he said during a press call ahead of WarnerMedia’s upfront presentation.
The series, which debuted in 2017, follows Niecy Nash’s Desna Simms, who, alongside her crew of manicurists from the Nail Artisans of Manatee County salon, rises to power in the crime world to claim her share of cash and respect. Claws also stars Carrie Preston, Judy Reyes, Karrueche Tran, Jenn Lyon, Kevin Rankin, Jason Antoon, Harold Perrineau and Dean Norris.

Exclusive: TNT dramedy Claws has paused filming its fourth and final season for the next 14 days due to a team member testing positive for Covid-19. According to sources, the asymptomatic diagnosis was confirmed as a result of required and ongoing testing for all employees on productions of Warner Bros. TV, the studio behind Claws. The decision on a two-week shutdown was made out of abundance of caution.
Production on Season 4 of Claws was well underway in New Orleans when all Hollywood production was halted in March amid the growing coronavirus pandemic. Filming recently resumed and is slated to wrap in December.
Since its launch in 2017, Claws has won critical praise and a loyal fan base. It follows Niecy Nash’s Desna Simms, who, alongside her crew of manicurists from the Nail Artisans of Manatee County salon, rises to power in the crime world to claim her share of cash and respect.

It’s only Tuesday, but longtime producing partners Rashida Jones and partner Will McCormack are already having quite the eventful week. This morning, it was announced that the TNT series “Claws” — executive produced by the duo’s Le Train Train production company — was renewed for its fourth and final season. But apparently where one show ends, another begins, as Variety reported that AMC has just picked up a new pilot executive-produced by the pair — the quite pointedly titled “Kevin Can Go F— Himself” — to series.
Created by Eliot Lawrence (“Welcome to Me”) with Sharon Lee Watson (“Chicago P.D.”) and Emily Silver (“Bones”) functioning as showrunners, the flamboyant and sometimes surreal “Claws” originally premiered in June 2017 and stars Emmy nominee Niecy Nash as Desna Simms, an entrepreneur and leader of a crew of strip mall nail technicians-turned-mobsters in the trashy coastal Florida town of Palmetto (aka “Palmghetto”). It seems that the writers of Criminal Minds have really stepped up their game this season. This is a kind of episode that's going to keep fans not only coming back for more, but add new viewers to the table.
"Final Shot" gave us an engrossing and mind-warping story about an abusive VP of a private military security firm who, when he couldn't convince his wife to come back to him, wanted her dead instead.
No doubt future episodes will feature Unsubs who somehow forget to take their meds and then go around killing everyone in a fit of fantasy rage. You know... the usual stuff. But this story was electric, and far from the norm.
There was misdirection from the start: a sniper who somehow managed to take twelve shots, but only hit six people, thereby making the team at first think the shooter wasn't all that skilled.

The takeaway from this episode of Criminal Minds is that having an eidetic memory can be gruesome.
Especially when, as in Reid's case, there is little ability to wipe away the pain of remembering every single word shared between him and Maeve.
This week's case served more as an addendum to the story of Reid's gradual descent into depression and Rossi's compassionate friendship and advice to help him out of it.
In "Alchemy," the Bau (Reid, really) identified two murders that shared similar characteristics: both involving men with similar features, whose bodies had been dismembered and scattered in native American territory. The only reason the local authorities hadn't connected the pair was because of friction between the native police force and the FBI.
The team eventually figured out that the murdered men were surrogates for a man whose wife - Tess - suffered from "Black Widow Maternal Desire," a mental...
