John has spent most of his life in Alaska. John has been entertaining professionally since 1984 as a bassist/vocalist in top Alaskan Bands like "Dave", The Kuhler Brothers, The Thneeds, and The Portly Presleys . He has spent years in radio broadcasting in country, rock, and talk formats. He was active in Alaskan theatre, playing such iconic roles as Cardinal Richileau in The Three Musketeers, Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye Birdie, Rooster in Annie, Charles Cheswick in One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest, and Vice Principal Doug Panch in that spelling bee show with the impossibly long name. As a playwrite, 14 of John's PLays have appeared on Alaskan Stages. Half of those were musical, and half of those he wrote the book and the music. "Like Sondheim, and a price point you can access" he frequently quips, because never gets old. Boy howdy. NEVER. Before moving to Nevada, he was the Vice Chairman of the Alaska State Council on the arts, serving for a third time to that council under governors Murkowski, Dunleavee and Palin. JOhn Actually went to High School with Palin in Wasilla. She was in his math and band classes and her dad, Chuck Heath, coached him in track. Also in attendance at that time is nationally syndicated TUNDRA cartoonist Chad Carpenter. john looks forward to all kinds of work being thrown his way.
