The U.S. Olympic team needed some good news after Shaun White’s disappointing loss in the snowboarding halfpipe, and that good news came in the form of Erin Hamlin. On Feb. 11, the 27-year-old luger became the first American in history to medal in the event — 50 years after its debut.
Erin Hamlin‘s name has officially made its way to the history books. The luger snagged the bronze during her Feb. 11 women’s singles event, making her the first U.S. Olympian to ever take home a singles luge medal.

Espn public relations reps Josh Krulewitz, Mike Humes and Mike Soltys announced Friday via Twitter that host and reporter Erin Andrews is leaving the network. Her contract expires this month. According to the reps, Espn made an "aggressive offer to keep her," and she leaves in good standing.
"She did great work for us... we wish her the best of luck on her next chapter," reads the identical statement tweeted by all three reps.
Sports Illustrated reports that Fox Sports is actively courting Andrews to take on a prominent role in their college football coverage in 2012. Fox declined to comment, and Andrews' rep says, "We are not in a position to discuss Erin's next career move."
Erin may have other things on her mind at the moment -- her stalker, Michael David Barrett, who filmed her through peepholes at two hotels, is scheduled to be released from prison this Tuesday,...

There are finales everywhere. What’s this?
I can’t believe my eyes; I must be dreaming. Wake up, Sandra, this isn’t fair!
Woah! Musical introduction. This is what the end of the season does to me, folks. I’m losing it. But that also means summer’s on the way, so remember to start sending your scoop requests for summer TV soon! And, as a special treat, please also send your season finale questions as well.
As usual, all queries/suggestions/ponderings get sent to spoilerroom@ew.com or @EWSandraG. And as a reminder,...

Last night on America's Next Top Model, Erin may have cried so much during her Covergirl commercial that they almost ran out of concealer from all her touch-ups. But she wasn't the only one who had a hard time pushing through the video shoot.
Even though they had the chance to write their own scripts, each girl had her own challenges with the delivery: from Nicole, who needed to conquer her natural awkwardness, to Brittany, who memorized her script so perfectly that she came off sounding like a robot. There was one clear winner of the challenge, though, and she took to the camera like a bubbly, head-bobbing fish to water.
After the jump, revisit each model's Covergirl commercial, and see if you agree with my rankings of the best and worst commercials from America's Next Top Model Cycle 13 Episode 8, "Interview 101."...
