The Gege Akutami-created Jujutsu Kaisen anime projects are inevitably as impressive as the original manga, if not more. All the favorable colors, themes, and details that Mappa Studios further added to the fan-favorite manga for the widely loved anime series and movie (Jujutsu Kaisen 0) have made those anime projects all the more captivating.
Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen
But despite being a serialized Shonen manga and anime, the anime series and movie both have quite a few instances where the characters have been more s-xualized than their manga counterparts. These instances are the ones where Mappa Studios went slightly against Gege Akutami’s original drawings of the Jujutsu Kaisen characters and seemingly s-xualized them.
5 times Mappa s-xualized Jujutsu Kaisen characters as opposed to Gege Akutami
While there have been multiple instances of this, we have compiled below a list of some of the most noticeable differences between the Jujutsu Kaisen manga and anime.

Gege Akutami’s masterpiece has everything the fans can ask for, from creative storylines to intriguing characters.
Jujutsu Kaisen
One of the interesting things about the series is that it is one of the few series that has managed to stay consistent with keeping the interest of the fans, which has only resulted in Jujutsu Kaisen getting more and more popular. So much so that even its opening and closing theme songs have become a sensation among fans.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s global recognition was recently witnessed when Japan Airlines recreated the iconic opening of the series’ second season’s theme song Specialz, by King Gnu. All the flight attendants were...

Rika, also known as the Queen of the Curses is one of the strongest characters/creatures in Jujutsu Kaisen. Her love and obsession for Yuta Okkotsu make her extremely dangerous and so scary that even Sukuna praises her when he sees her first. Also, since Yuta and Rika’s return to Jujutsu Kaisen, they have become insanely powerful.
Yuta Okkotsu and Rika Orimoto
When fully materialized, Rika’s abilities allow her to store weapons, restore Yuta’s cursed energy stores, and battle alongside Yuta. Rika is naturally extremely powerful, but what makes her even more deadly is that she also has some degree of thought, emotion, and free choice. Fans have already witnessed that she possesses sufficient power to take out almost everyone in combat.
However, there are still some Jujutsu Kaisen fans who believe that Rika has yet to reach her full potential in the story and when she does,...

Although Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen has a lot of elements that make it one of the best anime and manga series of all time, there is one aspect of the series that is very much underrated. This aspect is its theme songs that too have developed quite a love from fans because of their catchy tunes and possible hints in the animation.
Jujutsu Kaisen
From Lost In Paradise to Specialz, Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen has managed to nail the opening and ending themes of the series that may not look like much but is a very big achievement for any anime series as fans usually tend to skip the opening and ending themes and focus on the storyline in between of the episode.
In regards to this, Akutami has shown great gestures towards the creators of one of the most talked about opening themes of Jujutsu Kaisen, King Gnu.
