Ryan Gosling and Jimmy Kimmel traded hilarious and heartwarming Las Vegas memories on Tuesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live!. It was just two days after the horrific mass shooting that killed over 50 people and injured over 500 during a Jason Aldean concert in the city.
The actor, promoting his new film Blade Runner 2049, opened the interview by acknowledging the awkwardness of hyping the project in the aftermath of recent tragedies, including the shooting and Hurricanes Maria, Harvey and Irma. But the mood lightened after Gosling asked Kimmel about his experiences growing up in Las Vegas.

Jimmy Kimmel is a total David Letterman stan. When he was younger, he hosted Late Show viewing parties, had a Letterman-themed cake for his 16th birthday, and even had a "L8 Nite" vanity plate for his first car. During his tribute, Kimmel runs a vintage Letterman clip that eerily sums up exactly how we feel, then lets his band leader Cleto Escobedo say some words about his Late Show counterpart, Paul Shaffer. Out of respect to Letterman's last show tonight, Kimmel is airing a rerun. Why is it so dusty in here?!

As we inch toward to an 11:35 p.m. time slot without David Letterman, many of today's hosts have paid tribute to the man who changed the face of late-night television. Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Fallon have already honored the influential Letterman, and on Tuesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel delivered an emotional monologue where he thanked Letterman for single-handedly inspiring his career in entertainment.
In a teary remembrance — Kimmel had to stop numerous times to compose himself — the host shared staying up late at night to "watch a television show...

Without David Letterman, there would be no Jimmy Kimmel. On the eve of Letterman's retirement, the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host paid tribute to the Late Show host. Kimmel's emotions got the best of him early on. "Oh, no," he said, looking at band leader Cleto Escobedo III. "When I was 15 years old...All right. Let me start over," he said, tears welling in his eyes. "I wanted to be an artist as a kid and I loved to draw, and every night after my parents went to bed I would sit at my desk in my room and I would draw until it was very late. While I was doing that, I would watch a television show that is very important to me, as you can tell. It was called Late Night With David...

Jimmy Kimmel Live! returns to Austin, Texas this week for South by Southwest, and in the spirit of giving back amidst the festival's corporate milieu — and keeping Austin weird — host Jimmy Kimmel and Matthew McConaughey teamed up to produce three ridiculous commercials for local video store Vulcan Video.
Kimmel first swings through Vulcan where he meets the proprietors, Bryan and Kristen, who show off the store's extensive inventory, from large collections of Jerry Lewis films and Canadian TV shows to a copy of Hot Dog... The Movie, a film Kimmel fondly remembers from his youth.

A few years after Mike and Karen Schilling moved onto Meadowlark Lane in 1977, their doorbell started ringing in the wee hours. Mike would usually wake to find a delivery man with pizza or Chinese food on the doorstep. Other times, an impatient cabbie stood waiting. Eventually, the local Chinese, pizza and taxi vendors all refused to send anyone to Meadowlark Lane.
Then there was the shrub Mike left on the curb for the garbage men to pick up. The next morning, he found the plant on his front step. Back to the curb he took it –- only to find it waiting for him again the next morning. The charade continued for weeks; Mike got so annoyed that he started sleeping on the couch in an effort to catch the culprit. But he never did.
Then, 30 years later, Schilling’s torturers confessed their crimes on national television. He was surprised...

We're just days away from the Primetime Emmys, which air Sunday at 8 p.m. Et on ABC, and as we did last year, we have a bit of last-minute advice for the Emmycast's host. This time it's Jimmy Kimmel, ABC's late-night guy, who's on a roll after the alphabet network announced that "Jimmy Kimmel Live" would be moving to 11:35 in January.
Kimmel's a pretty experienced host, so this assignment might not be as daunting for him as it might have been for Jane Lynch last year. But if Jimmy were coming to us for some tips (and we're sure he's eager to hear what we have to say), here are some dos and don'ts we think he should adhere to.
Do keep your snarkiness intact. Kimmel's really good at what we like to think of as gentle edginess; he can easily drop a devastating line and do it in...
