Phillips named “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, according to the filing, which took place on Sept. 18 in Santa Barbara Superior Court.

Los Angeles, Sep 9 (Ians) Actors and star couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have written in support of the rape accused actor Danny Masterson, ahead of his sentencing, vouching for his character.
Kutcher and Kunis wrote letters in an effort to urge the judge for a lesser sentencing. In Kutcher’s letter, he referred to Masterson as a “role model”, while Kunis vouched for Masterson’s “exceptional character”, calling him as an “outstanding older brother figure,” in documents obtained by Variety.
Both the actors have previously worked with Masterson. Kutcher and Kunis starred in ‘That ’70s Show’ with him, which ran for eight seasons and 200 episodes between 1998 and 2006.
Kutcher then again starred with Masterson on the web series, ‘The Ranch’, though Masterson was written out of the show in its third season, after being accused of sexual assault in 2017.

Danny Masterson is headed to prison.
The That '70s Show alum was sentenced to 30 years after being convicted of rape earlier this year.
Ahead of the sentencing, it was reported that he faced a sentence of 30 years to life in prison.
The news comes months after a jury of seven women and five men found Masterson guilty of two of three rape counts after seven days of deliberations.
Masterson was accused of raping three women at his Hollywood Hills home from 2001 and 2003, at the height of his fame on the Fox comedy series.
The actor's first trial ended last year in a mistrial, but the judge opted to re-try The Ranch alum with a different set of jurors.
All three women in the case opened up to the judge about how Masterson's crimes had ruined their lives and requested that he be given life behind bars.

On the morning of April 25, testimony began in the second rape trial of That ’70s Show actor Danny Masterson after an initial trial ended last November in a hung jury and mistrial.
The first witness on the stand was one of Masterson’s alleged victims, Jane Doe 3, who had been in a relationship with Masterson between 1996 and 2002.
Deputy Da Reinhold Mueller asked her how she was feeling.
“Not great,” she said.
When Mueller asked what might be causing her concern about testifying, she said, “I’m scared.”

"The Walking Dead" ended its 11th and last season with a bang. While three spinoffs are coming soon, including "Dead City," it was the final farewell to the flagship series. Throughout its run, diehard fans came to care deeply about its characters and were glued to their televisions, hooked into stories about survival and keeping humanity intact. Characters such as Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) made the show what it quickly became — a ratings juggernaut. It may not have reached the creative heights of "Breaking Bad" or "Game of Thrones," but it had immense heart. When a character was put on the chopping block, it was often a devastating, soul-rattling experience.
Across 11 seasons, there were plenty of deaths that broke millions of hearts. Whether you're talking about that Season 2 barn reveal, the emergency C-section, or that baseball bat scene in Season 7, the show relentlessly forced its audience to face death and perhaps question their mortality.

At long last, the end is nigh. When "The Walking Dead" first premiered on Halloween in 2010, little did we know what a behemoth it would become, sparking a zombie outbreak that consumed network television, streaming services, and movie theaters. What began as Rick Grimes' (Andrew Lincoln) story morphed into a universal saga about how humanity managed to survive in an apocalyptic wasteland.
Eleven seasons later, "The Walking Dead" has cemented itself as one of the greatest TV shows in history. By this point, it's hard to imagine AMC without its flagship show, even though there are numerous spin-offs currently on the air, with even more on the way, including a limited series about Rick and Michonne. Despite the conclusion of the original series, "The Walking Dead" universe has never been more alive.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are nothing if not relatable. The couple had some fun on Wednesday as they tried out a viral relationship challenge and couldn’t contain their laughter.
In the video posted to Kutcher’s Instagram, he and Kunis were asked questions pertaining to personality traits and beyond, while not looking at how the other was answering. The 44-year-old actor kept his eyes closed, while the 39-year-old actress kept her hand over her face to not peek.
“Grandma and Grandpa hopped on a trend 3 months late. But it made us laugh,” Kutcher captioned the clip, in which he and Kunis agreed that he is “more patient,” “works out more,” is the “better singer” and “requires more attention.” They also noted he was the first one to say “I love you.”

Forest Whitaker, Thomasin McKenzie, Vera Farmiga and Richard E. Grant will lead the voice cast for “Gossamer,” an animated series adaptation of Lois Lowry’s novel.
The eight-part, half-hour animated series is produced by Bron Media’s virtual production and service company Bron Digital, which develops premium animation, interactive games and movies using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine.
Rounding out the cast for “Gossamer” is Wilmer Valderrama, Alanna Masterson and Courtney Rosemont, who makes her debut.
“Gossamer” is based on the young adult novel by Lowry, whose books include “The Giver” and “The Willoughbys” — the latter of which was previously adapted by Bron as an animated feature for Netflix.
Written by Crystal Meers, and directed by Azazel Jacobs and Heidi Bivens, “Gossamer” takes children and adults on a journey through the world of dreams and nightmares.
The show centers on Littlest One, who is an in-training Gossamer, a fairy who is a dream giver.

The Walking Dead flagship series may be winding down, but AMC is roaring ahead with plans to expand the post-apocalyptic franchise in countless other directions. Each upcoming project appears to be aiming to find a new angle and a fresh way to approach the Twd universe that’s a bit different from what we’ve seen before. Case in point: The Walking Dead: World Beyond, which has a young adult focus.
This line of thinking may lead to something that many fans would love to see, as according to insider Daniel Richtman, AMC is developing a new spinoff series that’s described as “LGBT-led.” That’s all the info we have right now, as per Richtman’s Patreon page, but we can assume that this project will involve an LGBTQ+ protagonist or maybe an ensemble cast featuring many queer characters and actors.

A handy new graph compiles the ratings of IMDb’s most frequently-rated TV series in order to find out what fans agree is the worst episode of the best shows out there. It covers many classic and contemporary titles, from Breaking Bad to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but for now let’s focus on The Walking Dead. What episode in the post-apocalyptic drama’s ten-year history has been labelled the weakest installment of the show to date?
The graph, created by Bo McCready, reveals that season 7’s sixth episode, “Swear” is the least favorite outing of the series for fans by some distance. On the back of 11,558 votes, “Swear” sports a weak 5.6 rating on IMDb. It’s no surprise that Twd‘s darkest hour comes from the doldrums of season 7, either, with it widely regarded that the show lost its way both in that year and season 8 before being revitalized...

(Major spoilers ahead for the March 24 episode of “The Walking Dead” on AMC)
(For real)
Fans of “The Walking Dead” by now are pretty used to the brutality of the show, with so many major characters being killed over the years. But nothing that has come before on “The Walking Dead” could fully prepare us for the emotional devastation that came at the end of this past Sunday’s episode — the next-to-last episode of season 9.
While maybe not as overtly severe as the season 7 premiere in which Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) beat Abraham and Glenn to death with his baseball bat, it certainly beat that episode in terms of quantity — this episode saw ten protagonist characters murdered and their heads placed on spikes.
In a sequence ripped nearly straight from the pages of the “Walking Dead” comics, Alpha (Samantha Morton) and her Whisperers managed to capture Daryl (Norman Reedus), Michonne...

On the heels of one of its bloodiest episodes, The Walking Dead is doing something fresh: snow. The season nine finale features a snowstorm—the first for the long-running AMC drama—and while it may look pretty, things won't exactly be that way for the zombie apocalypse survivors. The penultimate episode featured the Alexandria fair and Alpha's (Samantha Morton) bloody border warning that involved the deaths of Tara (Alanna Masterson), Enid (Katelyn Nacon) and Henry (Matt Lintz). Now? Winter is coming and the remaining survivors are mourning. "We'll be dealing with a lot of the emotional fallout from what's happened," showrunner Angela Kang told EW. "And we'll also play with...

Following the deaths of Henry (Matt Lintz), Tara (Alanna Masterson) and Enid (Katelyn Nacon) in the penultimate episode, the Walking Dead season nine finale has its work cut out for it. The biggest death sequence of the season is almost certainly in the rearview mirror at this point, as the Whisperers' grim border wall comes straight from the pages of Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard's comic book series — and few things have rivaled its tragic horror before or since.

Still need to catch your breath? We wouldn’t blame you.
Last night’s episode of The Walking Dead, “The Calm Before,” turned up the heat with Alpha snatching a number of unsuspecting people from the fair – namely Tara (Alanna Masterson), Enid (Katelyn Nacon), DJ (Matt Mangum), and Henry (Matt Lintz) – and displaying their decapitated heads for all to see.
Even by the show’s own lofty standards, last night’s episode was as brutal as it was horrifying, but it was also a window into the mind of Samantha Morton’s chief Whisperer, who has clearly marked her territory. She’s undoubtedly the big bad of The Walking Dead season 9 – so much so, in fact, that the disheveled Negan may prove to be an unlikely ally as Sunday’s finale approaches.
But one thing’s immediately clear: The Walking Dead fans did not expect such a left-field twist, particularly...

This past weekend, The Walking Dead viewers experienced the calm before the storm.
Not that it was entirely calm, mind you, as Sunday’s episode still brought about a lot of major plot developments that will no doubt spill over into the season 9 finale, “The Storm.” Chief among them being Alpha’s next move. Her actions became the core talking point of Entertainment Weekly’s recent interview with Angela Kang, series showrunner on The Walking Dead and the person responsible for bringing an end to season 9 – and, presumably, setting the stage for season 10 ahead of its own premiere in October.
But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s draw our attention to Alpha, leader of the Whisperers and our worst nightmare. Below, Kang reflects on the moment when Daryl, Michonne, Carol, Yumiko, and Siddiq discover their friends have been killed Game of Thrones-style with their heads mounted on pikes.

The Walking Dead finally did that. But it wasn't how it went down in the comics. Warning, spoilers ahead for what "that" is. In the penultimate episode of season nine, The Walking Dead featured the big Alexandria fair and the death that came with it thanks to Alpha (Samantha Morton). And while heads were placed on pikes, they weren't exactly heads of pivotal characters. Among the dead on The Walking Dead TV series: Tara (Alanna Masterson), Enid (Katelyn Nacon) and Henry (Matt Lintz). The comic books the show is based on featured the deaths of Rosita and Ezekiel during this pivotal scene. "There's so much behind the decisions of who goes and who doesn't go. Spoiler Alert: This post contains details of tonight’s Season 9 penultimate episode of AMC’s The Walking Dead.
“We’ve known for years that this moment would come eventually, and it didn’t feel right to wait past this season,” says The Walking Dead executive producer Angela Kang of the killing of 10 characters on the AMC series in tonight’s Season 9 penultimate episode.
Twd has long let the blood and mayhem flow in the second to last episode of most season, but the massacre on tonight’s “The Calm Before” may be the most stridulous ever – at least in terms of sheer numbers.
While perhaps lacking the visceral impact of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan smashing in the heads of Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) at the beginning of Season 7, the vengeance of the Samantha Morton-led Whisperers recreated one of the most grueling scenes from the Robert Kirkman comics.

[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for “The Walking Dead” Season 9 Episode 15, “The Calm Before.”]
This Week On “The Walking Dead”
“The Calm Before” is complicated. On the one hand, it’s an effective piece of horror, skillfully playing out the dread of what, exactly, Alpha is going to do as reprisal for her stolen daughter, culminating in a truly memorable and ghastly image. The performances are strong, many characters are reunited, and it’s a vastly superior hour (plus) than the last big shocker episode, “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be.” But as another chapter in the ongoing narrative, it just makes me want to throw up my hands. Here, again, is another pile of agonizing misery for our heroes. Here, again, the audience is strung through the emotional wringer so a new Big Bad can prove how super dangerous they are. It’s an exhausting and exasperating hour of television. Between this episode and “Scars” last week,...

“Happy Anniversary” says new Hilltop member Hilde to her husband Miles. The penultimate episode of “The Walking Dead” Season 9 leads viewers to believe that this happy couple will become series mainstays. But as we chart their relationship through years of anniversaries, their stay on the show is cut short. On the way to the fair, their cart winds up overturned, Hilde’s cache of cute Hilltop pendants strewn across the forest floor. The couple is dead, murdered by Alpha (Samantha Morton). This brutal episode expands upon this opening montage, as joyous characters are destroyed by the end credits. These are the five most shocking moments from “The Calm Before.”
The Charter
Everyone unites at the fair. Ezekiel (Khary Payton) gives a rousing speech about joining to celebrate their accomplishments and friendships. Not everyone is in a celebratory mood however, particularly Tara (Alanna Masterson). She’s angry Lydia (Cassady McClincy) was granted asylum by Alexandria.

The fair is almost here. Season 9 of “The Walking Dead” is galloping towards this moment, where in theory, all four united communities will gather together for the first time in years. Homemade banners (reminiscent of house banners from “Game of Thrones”) for each community are even unfurled in The Kingdom in celebration. But the road to this festive occasion proves fraught. Some survivors are pursued by Whisperers, while others encounter a strange new group. Check out the five most memorable moments of “Chokepoint.”

Last year, The Walking Dead TV show had another huge ratings drop, yet it still finished as AMC's most-watched TV series by a huge margin. Now that it is back for a ninth season, will more of the audience return? Given its long reign at the top of the cable network's Nielsen ratings, The Walking Dead is unlikely to be cancelled by AMC anytime too soon, but how long will the creative team want to continue? Key cast members are already on their way out the door. Will The Walking Dead come to an end, or will it be renewed for season 11 and beyond? Stay tuned. **Status update below.

After a high energy mid-season premiere, AMC’s “The Walking Dead” slows down in Episode 10 so the audience can get to know important new characters. Samantha Morton’s Alpha was only teased last week, but here we see her full evolution into the savage she has become. Though an unreliable narrator sparks questions over what details should be believed about the mysterious new group hunting the residents of Hilltop. “The Walking Dead” rarely uses flashbacks, but large chunks of this episode play out in the past, as Lydia (Cassady McClincy) clues in Henry (Matt Lintz) on her life in the early days of the apocalypse. She paints a picture of her distant father who kept a “cold look” in his eyes, and her protective mother who had trouble standing up to him. All signaling domestic abuse. (Spoilers ahead for the season 9 mid-season premiere of “The Walking Dead” on AMC)
Ever since Carl (Chandler Riggs) died during season 8 of “The Walking Dead” I’ve been wondering how exactly AMC planned on handling the Whisperers storyline without him. In the comics, Carl is sort of the main character of the early part of this plotline, if anyone could be considered such a thing in an ensemble like “The Walking Dead.”
So I assumed that with Carl’s death there would be a pretty significant shakeup in how the Whisperers story is told, especially given how dramatically different that last year or so has been from the comic book source material — in addition to Carl’s death in season 8, season 9 has seen the premature exits of Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Jesus (Tom Payne) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan), other key players in this story. But that may have been an erroneous assumption.

An eerie storm and foreboding fog descend upon the survivors in the Season 9 mid-season finale of AMC’s “The Walking Dead.” Episode 8, “Evolution,” made it clear that the series intends to bring a horror element back to the hit series. Daryl (Norman Reedus), Aaron (Ross Marquand), and Jesus (Tom Payne) spy on a herd of walkers as they search for Eugene (Josh McDermitt). The one hundred-strong horde behaves strangely, milling about in tight circles instead of walking straight ahead. As the trio presses on, Daryl hears the herd at their backs. He tosses an alarm clock to distract the zombies so the party can rush into the woods.

(Spoilers ahead for the Nov. 18 episode of “The Walking Dead” on AMC)
Ever since she first popped up out of nowhere in Season 8, “The Walking Dead” fans have been speculating non-stop about what Georgie’s (Jayne Atkinson) role will be in the future. Even though she has not appeared again since, Georgie’s impact has been felt — especially when we discovered that Maggie (Lauren Cohan) has made her exit from the show by joining up with Georgie’s quest to bring civilization back to the world.
We still don’t actually know that much about Georgie. She first appeared, as you recall, shortly before the Saviors attacked the Hilltop last season, offering food and knowledge — a book detailing primitive technology like aqueducts and so forth — in exchange for music. Georgie claimed to be roaming around, sort of trying to rekindle civilization wherever she encountered a community worth fostering.

With the mid-season finale of “The Walking Dead” bowing this Sunday, it’s a perfect time to assess which characters are not long for this world. Though Season 9 has already rid us of Gregory (Xander Berkeley) and written off Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), the mid-season is often a bloody affair. And with characters discovering walkers who speak, and others being spied on from the woods, it’s clear a new dangerous enemy is about to make their on-screen debut. These are the characters most likely to fall prey to the new threat in “Evolution.”
Jesus
Something about Jesus’ (Tom Payne) decision to go on the rescue mission to save Eugene (Josh McDermitt) felt fateful. If the endeavor was going to be smooth sailing, why even include the scene where Jesus insists on taking Tara’s (Alanna Masterson) place in the group? Instead, the strange focus on their swapped places is...
