Disgraced ex-congressman George Santos may have been expelled from the House of Representatives on Dec. 1 by a vote of 311-114 — but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the story for the alleged serial grifter and sometimes drag queen from New York. HBO Films has already optioned The Fabulist, a book about Santos’ rise and fall, for adaptation, with Frank Rich and Mike Makowsky (HBO’s Bad Education) attached to executive produce and Makowsky set to write. As for Santos, public opinion seems to think he’ll find a future on Dancing with the Stars — so much so that the show trended on X alongside news of his historic expulsion.
Asked if he would consider competing on the show that has featured the likes of Sean Spicer and House majority leader Tom DeLay (indicted on charges of conspiring to violate political fundraising law), Santos told reporters, “Today, I...

It’s hard to remember a time when fashion and beauty commentary were not ubiquitous. When red carpet pre-shows for the Oscars or the Met Gala were not the norm, or before anyone with a TikTok or Instagram account could be an obsessive pundit on celebrity style.
Steven Cojocaru was there, however, at the beginning of this sartorial saturation. The Canadian writer and TV host, now 50, hustled tirelessly in his early career to get legacy media to take style as seriously as he did. He became People magazine’s first West Coast fashion editor in 1997 and was the first out gay fashion correspondent for NBC’s “Today” during the highly watched Matt Lauer and Katie Couric era.
His persona was so vivid that Jimmy Fallon parodied him on “SNL” in 2001. His exacting analysis of winners and losers in the high-stakes game of celebrity dressing was equally loud and memorable. But decades ago,...

Now that we've all spent a night watching millionaires congratulate themselves for a tough year of wearing wigs and pretending to cry, it's time to ritualistically tear them down. Sure, there are few things more unwatchable than a celebrity fashion segment on the news, but it's the only way we as a country can get over the fact that we'll never go to an Oscars after party. However, the segment on Detroit's Wjbk got a little strange after celebrity stylist Steven Cojocaru attempted to slip a plug for an American Express credit card into his report.

This year's Emmys telecast was produced by Mark Burnett of Survivor and Apprentice fame, and his reality show experience might have served him well as he staged a few truly memorable moments during the show. But there were a lot of misfires too.
One overarching problem: at times it felt like the show was actively insulting its audience. When the opening number and various time-wasting musical interludes by "The Emmytones" constantly referred to how vapid and mind numbing the medium is - you wind up feeling like a sucker for you know... watching it.
Also pretty much a total disaster: the trivia voiceovers every time a winner took the stage. Incredibly not funny, and also completely inappropriate when viewers are trying to cheer a winner they happen to be sentimental about.
But then there were some really clever moments during the ceremony: like when Amy Poehler jumped the gun and...

It's The Best.Gay.Week.Ever! But In Designer Clothes!
Oh, the irony of having me write a fashion-themed Bgwe! Why so ironic? How about because it's 5 Pm and I'm currently wearing Target slippers, Target lounge pants and a ratty sweathshirt. Did I mention these are my good clothes?
Not fair! I actually shower every single day! Mostly...
Why the sudden interest in fashion? Well, there was Fashion Week having taken place last week in New York and the Oscars in L.A. on Sunday, but I was really inspired by last week's episode of Ugly Betty which ended with Betty finally "getting" that fashion isn't just about expensive clothes but is actually "art" and about taking what's on the inside emotionally, spiritually, etc. and putting it on the outside.
I guess she's feeling wing-y on the inside?
I found that an interesting way to look at fashion and thusly...

Is Steven Cojocaru wearing out his welcome at "Entertainment Tonight"?
An insider tells Page Six that the cloying fashionista is "being weaned off of 'Et' " because he's a total diva and refuses to do anything extra to promote the show.
"His Q ratings have plummeted, and he's on so rarely now that if you break down what he gets paid per appearance, it's astronomical and not worth it," says our source.
We also hear that Anya Sarre, the head stylist for "Et" and "The Insider" who already does...

Stunning actress Famke Janssen was so distraught after losing her luxury purse at a birthday bash for actor pal Sam Rockwell, she had all party-goers on the floor searching for it. A "visibly upset" Janssen caused such a scene on Tuesday night at plush New York venue Tai, every member of the A-list crowd helped her find her Marc Jacobs accessory. An onlooker tells website Page Six, "She insisted that the party pause while the 500 people, including Philip Seymour Hoffman and Steven Cojocaru, scrambled about looking for it. We all felt sorry for her because she was visibly upset and proclaimed that, 'My life was in that bag!'"
