Coming off a well-deserved first-ever Oscar nomination, Bill Nighy has a new worthwhile movie to add to his highly impressive filmography. The Beautiful Game is, on its surface, another well-worn story of a ragtag team of misfits coming together for validation not just in their football (i.e. soccer) skills but, more importantly, in their lives. And even though we have seen countless underdog stories like this one set on a playing field, we actually haven’t seen one quite like this in terms of the welcome spotlight it puts on the homeless population among us. The timing is particularly pertinent as many major cities seem to a war going on with the homeless, a complete lack of empathy toward what gets a person to this point in life and a solution for lifting them out of it.
The Beautiful Game is not focused on the politics of their lot in life,...

Colin Farrell has set Irish crime drama “The Ruin” as the first production for his new production banner Chapel Place Productions. The project will re-team Farrell with his “The Lobster” producer Lee Magiday.
The newly formed Chapel Place was set up by Farrell with his sister and manager Claudine Farrell. The pair will team with Magiday’s, also newly founded, Sleeper Films as well as Australia’s Hopscotch Features for the feature adaptation. Troy Lum and Andrew Mason will produce for Hopscotch.
Written by Dervla McTiernan, ‘The Ruin’ tells the story of police officer Cormac Reilly who discovers two neglected children in a crumbling house in Galway, their mother dead upstairs from an overdose. Twenty years later, when another body is found, Reilly is drawn back to the cold case that has haunted his career, uncovering shocking secrets about police corruption and abuses of the church, and questioning who among his colleagues he can trust.

Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel joined their Total Recall leading man Colin Farrell on the red carpet at La's Grauman's Chinese Theatre for their premiere last night. Jessica went ladylike in pink Christian Dior Couture, and Kate upped the drama in a reptilian Armani Privé creation. Kate walked the red carpet with her husband, the movie's director, Len Wiseman. Jessica's other half, Justin Timberlake, wasn't able to make it. She told us yesterday that he's off working on his own movie, so he wasn't able to weigh in on her sartorial decisions like he usually does. Colin also had a lady on his arm, his sister Claudine Farrell. Colin mentioned to us that he was excited to see the action film for the first time, as a finished product, at Grauman's. He celebrated Len's creation with Jessica and Kate at the afterparty. Stay tuned for our video from the event later today on PopSugar Rush!
