Jeopardy!‘s 2024 Tournament of Champions continued to deliver surprises on Tuesday night (February 27) as Season 39 super-champ and fan favorite Hannah Wilson was knocked out of the competition. Wilson’s elimination marked two back-to-back shockers, as 21-game winner and front-runner Cris Pannullo was defeated on Monday (February 26), bringing a premature end to his Toc journey. Tuesday’s game saw Wilson, a puzzle designer from Chicago, Illinois, up against David Sibley, an Episcopal priest from Walla Walla, Washington, and Yungsheng Wang, a deputy public defender originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. Sibley got out to an early lead, proving to be fast on the buzzer and answering 11 clues correctly in the first round. He also found and answered the game’s first Daily Double, even dropping a Salt n Peppa reference for good measure. Wilson fought back in Double Jeopardy and briefly took the lead after landing on a Daily Double and boosting her score.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the December 18 episode of Jeopardy!] The contestants of game two of the finals of Champions Wildcard may have gotten one of the Daily Double questions wrong in the December 18 episode of Jeopardy! but fans feel like they should have been harder at this point in a tournament. Gary Hollis, a chemistry professor from Roanoke, Virginia, Tyler Vandenberg, a Marine officer currently serving in Stuttgart, Germany, and Yungsheng Wang, a deputy public defender originally from Lafayette, Louisiana faced off for the second of the two-game total final. And as Ken Jennings (now the sole host of the syndicated series) noted, “We have seen on more than one occasion that having the lead at the end of Game 1 does not necessarily indicate who will come out ahead in the end.” Such was the case here, with Yungsheng, the only one to get the Final Jeopardy answer, walking away as ...

Jeopardy! fans were treated to an exciting game on December 14. The game was a high-energy face off between Andrew Chaikin, Yungsheng Wang, and Garrett Marcotte, resulting in high final scores. Yungsheng led the first round with $5,400 total, with Garrett in second with $2,400 and Andrew (who previously had $0 at the first commercial break) in third with $2,000. Double Jeopardy is where the exciting high scoring came in. Andrew doubled his score to $15,200 with his first Daily Double find, and he found another Daily Double two clues later, adding another $5,000 to his score. More correctly answered clues led to Andrew heading into Final Jeopardy with the lead at $26,600. Yungsheng wasn’t too far behind. Despite finding no Daily Doubles during the game, he answered a swatch of clues correctly and brought his score up to $18,600 by the time of Final Jeopardy. Garrett was in third with $4,800. It was the Final Jeopardy wagers that...
