- Writer/Director/Producer Sue Zarco Kramer is a graduate of UCLA Film School. She graduated, winning the coveted Jim Morrison Award for Outstanding Direction and Writing.
In 2023, Sue wrote and directed the "SWIPE NYC" starring Lisa Eldelstein, Richard Schiff and Bridget Moynahan. The dramedy is set in Kramer's hometown of Brooklyn, follows the life of a recent divorcee who forces herself to jump into world of online dating. It examines mid-life NYC "single-dom" through a unique yet globally relatable lens. Premiering in April 2023, Swipe NYC has been sweeping the film festival circuit. Kramer has written for almost every studio and made her feature directorial debut with her original feature, "Gray Matters" which pays homage to 1940's screwball comedies with one, big, bang of a modern twist. The Hollywood reporter wrote "The movie opens with a rhapsodic and perfectly executed ballroom dance sequence, which harks back to the high spirits of Astaire & Rogers."Alexander Payne executive produced with El Camino Pictures/Bob Yari Film Group financing the film. Heather Graham, Tom Cavanagh, AlanCumming, Sissy Spacek, Bridget Moynahan, and Molly Shannon starred inthe romantic comedyabout a brother and a sister who fall in love with the same woman. "Gray Matters" not only closed the 2007 Santa Barbara Film Festival but was chosen as the Spotlight Film of The Hamptons FilmFestival. "Gray Matters" has remained on the top 25 Netflix list of "gay and lesbians hits" of all time.
Sue has written several original screenplays, including "London in June" for Nancy Meyers at Touchstone Pictures, "Walking Backwards" for Julia Roberts and Revolution Studios and "Bullies" for Amy Baer's Landline Pictures amongst many others.
Sue's on-going volunteer "voting initiative" work includes her highly watched YOUVOTE video and her "BE DOPE VOTE" campaign both seen by over 10 million viewers starring Bradley Cooper, Billy Porter, A$AP Ferg, Anne Hathaway, Blake Lively, Susan Sarandon and Samuel Jackson. Sue co-chaired the Creative Coalition's entertainment delegation of artists prior to the 2009 Presidential Inaugural of Barack Obama.
