"The Real Housewives" franchise is expanding to Canada. It has been announced at the Shaw Media's Upfronts earlier this week that a Vancouver version of the Bravo hit reality show has been greenlit. Canadian network Slice will start airing the show titled "The Real Housewives of Vancouver" sometime in 2012.
No cast members have been announced. Montreal Gazette, however, has thrown some names who would be a fit for the show. Trevor Linden's wife and Basquiat boutique owner Cristina Linden is deemed a good choice to meet the profile of a sports star's wife.
Army and Navy heiress Jacqui Cohen may fill the role of a society doyenne with a knack for charity fundraising. As for a powerful career woman, Vancouver Board of Trade chair and CEO of Century Plaza Hotel and Absolute Spa Group Wendy Lisogar-Cocchia may meet the qualification.
