Old Dads is a comedy film directed by Bill Burr, who also co-wrote the film with Ben Tishler. The Netflix film follows three middle-aged men, who find themselves not fitting in the customs of the modern and often times very fragile and easily offended world. Burr’s style of comedy makes the film work as he also stars in the lead role alongside Bobby Cannavale and Bokeem Woodbine. So, if you loved the Netflix film here are some similar movies you could watch next.

The May 1 release of Avengers: Age of Ultron marks the "official" start of the 2015 Summer Movie Season and with that in mind, it's only appropriate to offer up a look forward at what's ahead over the next four months. What is ahead over the next four monthsc Well, a lot of movies that cost a lot of money with a few smaller features mixed in for good measure, and as much as some of us may lament the fact studios have become so franchise focused, it's hard not to admit a desire to see some of these bigger features. As a means of whittling down the flock of films arriving over the next several months I've chosen to take a look at my 20 most anticipated, which does mean there are bound to be some titles I probably ought to mention, but didn't make the list for a variety of reasons.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl took home the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at this year's Sundance Film Festival and Fox Searchlight promptly snatched it up and set a June 12 release date, offering a bit of Summer Movie Season counter-programming. Today the first official trailer has dropped, offering you a first look at the upcoming dramedy. Directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, the film stars Thomas Mann (Project X, Beautiful Creatures) as Greg, a high school senior who is trying to blend in anonymously, avoiding deeper relationships as a survival strategy for navigating the social minefield that is teenage life. He even describes his constant companion Earl (Rj Cyler), with whom he makes short film parodies of classic movies, as more of a 'co-worker' than a best friend. But when Greg's mom (Connie Britton) insists he spend time with Rachel (Olivia Cooke) - a girl in his class who...

Editor's Note: In Cinema de Gym, Kurt writes about whichever piece of whichever movie was playing while he cardio'ed. I wish my gym would play movies.
Kurt here. I've just moved from my suburban Philadelphia stomping grounds to a cozy new place in Brooklyn (yay!). Thus, no more weekly trips to the treadmill screening room, which, even if it had followed me here, would likely fall outside of my new monthly budget. But, fear not! I logged a lot of hours in that offbeat movie house, and though my scale might not reflect that (what gives?), I've compiled quite a lengthy list of gym films du jour. So, rather than bag the column, I'm going to burn through that Cinema de Gym queue, with a promise that my memory is sharp.

Good things come to those who wait and for those who feel as though they've suffered through a year of largely uninspired films up to now will likely breathe a sigh of relief at the sound of names like Darren Aronofsky, Sofia Coppola and Peter Weir. 'Tis the season for Jim Carrey to take a pay cut to star in a gay romance like "I Love You Phillip Morris" or Javier Bardem is whispering sweet nothings to spirits in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarittu's "Biutiful" rather than Julia Roberts.
There is the naughty -- Kristen Stewart stripping in "Welcome to the Rileys," the would-be terrorists of the Brit comedy "Four Lions," or the evil Santa in "Rare Exports" -- and the nice -- the tap-dancing lovers in "Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench," the glory of James Franco's daredevil surviving "127 Hours" and Colin Firth's verbally-challenged royal conquering his stutter in "The King's Speech.

When director Matthew Vaughn's "Kick-Ass" smashes its way into theaters this weekend, you're bound to notice Hit-Girl, the unassuming little girl played by Chloe Moretz — who just so happens to be one of the most ruthlessly trained killers New York City has to offer. She also happens to have one of the filthiest mouths I've ever seen from any kid, fictional or otherwise.
But she's not the only swear-happy youth on the cinematic streets. While Hit-Girl is the current reigning queen of vulgarity, here are a few other fictional kids sure to make your ears bleed with naughty language.
John Connor: The future leader of mankind wasn't exactly the most eloquent kid on the block back in 1991. Edward Furlong's feature film debut as John Connor in "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" remains the most memorable take on the character thanks largely to his creative cursing. Before Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was released in theaters last fall, I had a couple of opportunities to preview footage from the film. It only hinted at the twisted and yet somehow purely earnest charms that directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller embedded in ambitious inventor Flint Lockwood's fantastical story. Suffice it to say that I loved the film as a whole -- although I'm not quite sure where I would have fit it in, in retrospect I would have included it in my Top Ten of 2009 -- but of all of these sequences I saw, one had me in stitches every time and ultimately became one of my favorite scenes in any movie released last year: the snowball fight.
The scene starts innocently enough as the town's top cop, Earl Devereaux (Mr. T) asks Flint (Bill Hader) for a favor for his son Calvin's (Bobb'e J. Thompson) birthday.

Meatballs still pour at the box office. The Sony Pictures Animation film "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" stayed at the top spot after two weeks with .6 million.
The all-star voice cast - Bill Hader, Anna Faris, Neil Patrick Harris, James Caan, Bruce Campbell, Andy Samberg, Mr. T, Bobb'e J. Thompson, Benjamin Brat, Al Roker, Lauren Graham, and Will Forte - managed to beat iconic action star Bruce Willis' sci-fi offering "Surrogates," which landed at second place with million.
Also new this week is the 2009 version of "Fame," which collected million at 3rd place, a paltry sum compared to the hype surrounding the loose remake.
The sci-fi/horror flick "Pandorum," starring Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster, also debuted this weekend, finishing at sixth place with .4 million.

"The Informant!" had no chance with meatballs pouring. Matt Damon's dark comedy finished a distant second from the computer-animated film "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," which opened with .1 million at the weekend box office.

The classic children's book "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" spins a tall, tasty tale about a mythical land in which the sky rains orange juice and storms hamburgers, while every so often a pea-soup fog rolls in.
The how and why of this culinary weather — the meat and potatoes of the story, if you will — is never explained in Judi Barrett's slim 1978 book. All we know is that the deliciousness turns suddenly dangerous for the townsfolk of Chewandswallow — massive school flattening pancakes! Salt and pepper winds! — and they're forced into survival mode.
The new 3-D animated adaptation of "Cloudy" dreams up an origin story for the mouthwatering climate — a loony young inventor named Flint Lockwood creates a machine that turns water into food — but...

Yes, we're aware that's a cheeseburger.
Cinematical got a sneak peek at several of the scenes from Sony's upcoming CGI film Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs recently, and about the worst thing we can say about it is that it's Pixar ... ish. Which is a bit like saying, "Gee, your watch sure looks like a Rolex." Not entirely insulting. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, and Cloudy looks extremely sharp, the jokes are funny, and it made me very hungry. Plus it has a great voice cast featuring Bill Hader, Anna Faris, Bruce Campbell, Neal Patrick Harris, Andy Samberg, Tracy Morgan, James Caan, Bobb'e J. Thompson, Will Forte and Mr. T (!). So who's complaining?

2009 MTV Movie Awards is on and it is unraveled that "Twilight" has been announced among the early winners. In order to be nominated for Breakthrough Male Performance at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, you had to be foreign, dreamy, British, funny or a combination of all four.
The obvious front-runner is "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson, who has a rabid fanbase on his side. The category also finds Dev Patel nominated for his role in the Oscar-winning flick "Slumdog Millionaire." Then there's Bobb'e J. Thompson for his hysterical turn in "Role Models," Taylor Lautner in "Twilight" and Ben Barnes in "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian."
Patel might have starred in one of the biggest films of the past awards season, but it's going to be hard for him to beat out Pattinson. The same goes for Barnes,...

You might think that after Slumdog Millionaire cleaned up at the Oscars back in February, any and all questions about the best movies of 2008 had been definitively answered. But of course, you'd be wrong. The most prestigious movie awards of all are still yet to come... and guess what Slumdog? You've got some serious competition in the form of a little movie called Twilight! Everyone knows that the MTV Movie Awards are a joke, and I won't waste much time analyzing their list of nominees. However, I am glad to see that this year they've introduced a category for "Best Wtf Moment" because, you know, the whole award show is basically a Wtf moment! When you've got High School Musical 3 up against Slumdog Millionaire for Best Movie, it kinda calls into question your judging criteria... and are we really supposed to compare Kate Winslet's performance in The Reader to Anne Hathaway in Bride Wars?...

Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott star in Role Models as Danny and Wheeler, two salesmen who trash a company truck on an energy drink-fueled bender. Upon their arrest, the court gives them a choice: do hard time or spend 150 hours with a mentorship program. After one day with the kids, however, jail doesn't look half bad. Once the center's ex-con director (Jane Lynch) gives them an ultimatum, Danny and Wheeler are forced to tailor their brand of immature wisdom to their charges, Augie (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) and Ronnie (Bobb'e J. Thompson). And if they can just make it through probation without getting thrown in jail, the world's worst role models will prove that, sometimes, it takes a village idiot to raise a child. Seann William Scotts' funniest movie was American Pie, where he played all out crazy man Stiffler. Well, he has topped that in Role Models, where he has...

For a network with the word "cartoon" in its name, there were an awful lot of real-life performers on hand during Cartoon Network's upfront presentation Wednesday morning.
Of the 19 new series/movies announced, more than half were not animated projects. In fact, as if to drive the message home that the network was not just about cartoons anymore, the confab at the Time Warner Center in New York closed with about 20 young actors gathering onstage, including a foursome that will headline a new live-action " Scooby-Doo" movie.
Cartoon Network's brass touted the move into live action content as part of an ongoing "evolution"-- a much repeated word during Wednesday's presentation.
"Our voice is changing," said Stuart Snyder, president and COO of Turner Broadcasting's animation, young adults and kids media division, comparing the network to a young boy who wakes up one day with a deeper voice. "This is an evolution of our brand.

As it is for me with most comedies, Role Models just isn't quite as good the second time around, but it still remains a solid comedic entry and certainly worth a once over. I still get a laugh out of such innocently delivered lines such as "It's not poison, it has juice in it..." referring to the energy drink the two stars are pitching, and the all-to-poignant, "Why did you put 'presence' in quotes? Are you implying we're not here?" These are lines that either come out of nowhere or are simply things most everyone wants to say and are just too worried about hurting someone's feelings to bring up. In my case it would be the latest trend to use the word "literally" and I am sure you have your own pet peeve you can fit into the mix. Rudd's character in this film is dialed-in when it comes...

Role Models is one of the funnier films you'll see this year (actually, next), and we've got the exclusive on the UK poster for the film.It may look a bit like the Us poster, with Paul Rudd's Danny relieving himself against a wall and Seann William Scott drinking from a brown paper bag, but we here in the UK also get Christopher "McLovin" Mintz-Plasse's role-playing enthusiast Augie in there as well. The plot of the film sees Rudd and Scott assigned to mentor Augie and another boy called Ronnie (the quite astonishingly funny Bobb'e J. Thompson) as community service. The film also stars the quite astonishingly cool and cute Elizabeth Banks and the ever-funny Jane Lynch. We also have some brand-new pics from the film - showing Danny talking to the leaders of the live-action role-playing game that Augie loves, and Augie in his medieval garb. Click below for the full-size version of those.

Attendance may be down by 4.19% but the box office has a massive up weekend, boosing revenue .27% from last year at the same time. Comparing top November openers, "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" is currently the fifth highest opener under "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secreta" and "The Incredibles."
