I saw a screenshot similar to the one you saw above from Chris Carlson's Street Fighter-themed chalk art, and I'll be honest — my first thought was, "Meh, I've seen stuff like this before. Guy inserts himself into video game. So what?" But I'm glad I saw Carlson's work in motion, because it's way cooler than just digitally dropping himself into game footage: he actually created the background using chalk art, and then created a video of himself "fighting" with his own artwork. Very cool.

The excitement of the Chicago Raw has came and gone, having had our hopes raised for something big, we instead find ourselves with a wrestling hangover this Tuesday morning. Cm Punk hasn’t returned to WWE, Bryan vs Triple H at Wrestlemania looks a lock and the Title picture is unchanged - Orton vs Batista is on.
The internet wrestling community has responded with the expected magnitude of complaining. Fans wanted and expected something else, so the disappointment has ended up raging on social media. WWE looks firmly set to stay course with their long held plans, and in truth, the same fans complaining will still in large watch Wrestlemania regardless.
All is not lost however. With us arriving at a point of what looks like a certain Mania card, does WWE in actuality have one last big swerve to pull?

The launch of the WWE Network is upon us, going live this Monday after WWE Raw goes off the air. It’s essential that the company gets the Network off to a good start, snapping up subscribers at the earliest opportunity. The fact is WWE almost can’t afford to fail with this, they need those credit cards to get registered as soon as possible. The reason for this is because the value of WWE events has forever been changed, now worth just $9.99 with the Network compared to the usual $50 pay per view retailing. As such, WWE needs to make up for the losses with a healthy number of locked in subscribers, and they need to do it as soon as possible due to traditional PPV distributors already dropping the WWE box office product.

Hulk Hogan will return to WWE Television on the 24th of February Raw in Green Bay, Wisconsin, reports PWInsider.
That Raw comes the night after Elimination Chamber and on the evening of the WWE Network launch. In addition to Hogan, his long time manager Jimmy Hart is also expected to be in attendance on Raw, to promote his show ‘Legends House’ which will be featuring on the WWE Network.
The report of Hogan’s return also reveals some of the details of his deal with WWE. The Hulkster agreed the contract shortly after leaving Tna a few months ago. The WWE had discussed using Hogan for publicity attention at the Network announcement in Las Vegas on January 8th, but instead decided he would be better utilised on WWE television.
As we reported yesterday, The Undertaker is also scheduled to return on the February 24th Raw.

With WrestleMania 30 just under three months away, rumours of an imminent return by WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan continue to linger.
Over the weekend, TMZ caught up with the Hulkster to discuss the rumours that he’ll be a part of WrestleMania 30 at the ripe old age of 60. At first, when asked if he was going to re-sign with WWE Hogan said: “That would be like a dream come true. I have no idea.”
The video interview below also showed Hogan greeting fans while he was in the airport. In less of a news story, he also admitted that he cheated sometimes when he would rip his shirt in the ring. Oh Hulkster, don’t go ruining the spirit of the Hulkamaniacs, brother.

Looking for the breakout channel of 2013? Look no further than AWEme. The Defy Media (formerly Break) channel kicked off in February, and since then, it has grown at an impressive rate. Now, in October, it has crossed one million subscribers. We spoke to Andy Signore, Director of Programming at Defy Media, about AWEme's rapid rise to prominence. Tubefilter: What do you have to say to AWEme's one million subscribers? Andy Signore: Thank you! I know I speak for the entire company when I say we are completely ecstatic and grateful for all of the fans that have discovered us! Their support has truly Awe'd us! Tf: Why do you think AWEme has grown at the amazing rate we've seen? As: We...

Break Media's latest channel is two for two. AWEme has followed up its winning Man at Arms series with Stop Motion Chalk Art, an artsy series that recreates pop culture motifs using, as the title would imply, a combination of chalk and stop motion photography. AWEme stands for "Amaze, Wow, Educate me," and whereas Man at Arms, with its didactic tone, chose the educational route as its main source of entertainment, Stop Motion Chalk Art prefers to be amazing. The featured artist, Chris Carlson, is incredibly inventive not just in terms of his drawing skills but also in terms of the camera tricks he employs. In the first episode, he shoots a few falling Tetris blocks, training his camera at an unusual angle to give the objects more of a 3D look to them. Future episodes of Stop Motion Chalk Art will feature other series from our collective consciousness. One...

Last night the Producers Guild of America (PGA) gave out awards for achievement in films and television released in 2011. The big winner was The Artist, which took home the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures. As the winner of this award takes the Best Picture Oscar three times out of four, any betting on the top Oscar honor is pretty much over at this point. Read on for the full list of winners. The PGA website provides the list. In each case I've left the full slate of nominees, and winners are bolded. I'm happy to see the excellent A Tribe Calle Quest doc, Beats, Rhymes and Life, picking up the award for best documentary. The Darryl F. hollywoodnews.com: It’s beginning to look a bit like a landslide. The Producers Guild of America is the latest group to reward Michel Hazanavicius’ “The Artist” with its year-end Best Picture honors, paving the way for what could be Oscar domination next month.
The black-and-white and predominantly silent film has been picking up top prizes throughout the season, winning Best Picture awards at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards and the Golden Globes. On accepting the PGA distinction, producer Thomas Langmann said that when they “dreamed of making ‘The Artist,’ we knew we were dreaming of writing a love letter to American cinema.”
Oscar nominations arrive on Tuesday morning, and “The Artist” is expected to lead all films with the most nominations. It’s best to caution against landslide victories in what amounts to “the primaries.” Last year, David Fincher’s “The Social Network” did very...

The Producers Guild of America has announced their nominations for the PGA Awards and it's hard not to agree with every movie on the list. All of the ones I've seen are great films, and the ones I haven't seen I've heard are amazing. The only two on the list I haven't watched are The Artist and The Descendants, both of which I'm looking forward to seeing. I'd love Hugo or War Horse to take home the top prize though. Those were my two favorite movies of 2011. The winners will be announced on January 21st, 2012; check out the full press released with the list of nominations below and tell us what you think! What would you like to see win?

We really can’t say that 2011 is behind us until award season is finished, and as we get closer to the coveted Academy Awards in February, various other guilds and organizations are recognizing the best that 2011 had to offer. Today the Producers Guild of America announced their nominees for Best Picture. The PGA is generally a good indicator as to which movies will be nominated for best Picture when the Oscars roll around.
There are some pretty safe picks. Movies like War Horse, The Artist, The Descendants, and Hugo all made the list, but its Bridesmaids that came completely out of no where.
Below is the full press release of those that are nominated. This includes animated films and television shows. As you can see there are a lot of movies you expect to see on this list with a few surprises on it as well.

Here's your best indicator yet as to what the crop of nominations for the Best Picture Oscar is likely to be. The Producers Guild of America (PGA) has announced its nominations for 2011 awards, which will be doled out on January 21. The ten films nominated for the PGA's top honor include expected pictures such as The Artist, The Descendants and War Horse. There are no real surprises, but the growing Oscar chances for The Help won't be hurt by getting a PGA nomination (would be slightly wild to see Chris Columbus, a producer on The Help, with an Oscar), and Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris makes an appearance on the list, too. There are a couple surprises, though, in the form of Bridesmaids and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo -- the Judd Apatow and Scott Rudin effects in full force there. With 5-10 Best Picture nominations possible for this year's Oscars,...

CBS has renewed its two Sunday reality series, The Amazing Race and Undercover Boss, for next season. The Amazing Race, hosted by Phil Keoghan, is being picked up for a 19th cycle next fall. The recent fall edition of the 7-time Emmy-winning reality series delivered nearly 12 million viewers, matching the prior year's performance, and was up 3% in adults 18-49. Jerry Bruckheimer, Bertram van Munster, Jonathan Littman, Elise Doganieri and Mark Vertullo are the executive producers. Undercover Boss, which follows high level corporate executives as they slip anonymously into the rank and file of their own companies, is being renewed for a third season. The series premiered last February following the Super Bowl and went on to become the top-rated new series last season. The show has slipped in the ratings in its current second season but has still averaged a respectable 12.3 million viewers and a 3.4/09 in adults 18-49. Stephen Lambert,...
