The path to success is rarely ever paved alone. It often starts with a singular passion and comes to life thanks to the communities of people who band together to support a common goal.

Music has the unrivalled power to create communal bonds that stand the test of time. Two fans are intrinsically linked the moment they hop in the queue to watch their favorite artist. The connections run even deeper from the perspective of the people on stage that everyone is filing in to see. These shared experiences in the name of music can drive a group closer together as bandmates become family who are dedicated to a common goal.

The band are set to embark on a number of tour dates across Europe and the US at the end of 2022 and into 2023, and will visit the UK to perform four shows in May and August next year as part of their Will Of The People tour.
The Devon-grown rockers will kick off the UK leg by returning home to headline Home Park Stadium in Plymouth, before hitting stages in Huddersfield, Glasgow, and Milton Keynes.
The multi-platinum and Grammy award-winning rock band hasn’t toured since 2019, so for fans, these gigs will be must-see events.

It’s been a busy year for Muse. The legendary British rock trio is set to release their ninth studio effort this week, Will Of The People, which arrives as the band is two-thirds of the way through a 30-show tour that’s seen them play to as many as 90,000 fans in massive stadiums along the European summer festival circuit.
And yet, the tour began in front of just 220 ebullient die-hards at the Cavern Club in Exeter, England earlier this spring. The subterranean venue in the heart of this historic...

There’s something so communal about going to a Muse show. The experience has a way of inducing a unique catharsis. On the one hand, it’s hard to ignore the tremendous feeling of it all, from the hypnotizing laser light show to the rousing pyrotechnics and the otherworldly visuals.
But beneath the (literal) flash and frills lies something much more intimate. Fans are embracing, fists are pumping, and in spurts, the audience takes on the role of lead vocalist while they roar the lyrics of their favorite records. In these moments,...

No one can ever say that Muse doesn’t know how to put on a phenomenal show! This time around it was quite apparent that the band spared no expense on the production that went into bringing the “Simulation Theory” tour to Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. Muse’s show was chock full of spectacular laser lighting effects, Led-clad back-up dancer and brass musicians, and of course, we couldn’t possibly forget the ginormous robotic skeleton! It was definitely out of this world, to say the least.
Muse is on tour in support of their eight album release “Simulation Theory” and have proved once again with this album that they are fearless when it comes to changing up their style, this time opting for a more 80’s retro vibe complete with heavy synths and searing guitar riffs. Muse performed a rattling version of “Pressure,” a track from their recently issued Simulation Theory LP, on Tuesday’s Tonight Show. Frontman Matthew Bellamy belted in his signature theatrical vibrato over a psych-blues guitar riff, moaning brass, Dominic Howard’s tumbling toms and bassist Chris Wolstenholme’s eerie whispers.
The prog-rock band explored more Eighties and electronic influences on Simulation Theory, their eighth album, which also includes the previously released tracks “Dig Down,” “Thought Contagion,” “Something Human” and “The Dark Side.” The group issued a quirky video for “Pressure” co-starring...

A quarter-century ago, audiences first watched Tim Burton’s tale about a gentle man, an inventor’s unfinished creation who has scissors for hands. “Edward Scissorhands” opened in theaters 25 years ago today. The film was the first of Burton and Johnny Depp’s many collaborations, and it reunited Burton with Wiona Ryder, who was in “Beetlejuice,” the second film he directed. As the fourth feature Burton directed, “Edward Scissorhands” further familiarized audiences with what Burton’s unique visual style full of the dark right next to the sweet and kooky takes on gothic elements. Edward is one of many memorable misunderstood misfit characters of Burton’s. Other notable December 7 happenings in pop culture history: • 1925: “Easy Virtue,” which Noel Coward wrote at age 25, opened on Broadway. It was later adapted into a film starring Colin Firth, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jessica Biel and Ben Barnes. • 1967: Otis Redding recorded “(Sittin’ On...

Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy's breakup certainly seems to be an amicable one. The Muse rocker, 36, was all smiles Tuesday night when he and bandmate Dominic Howard were spotted leaving Chiltern Firehouse, a hotel and restaurant in London. Bellamy also took to Twitter to thank fans for their support and reassure them that he and Hudson, 35, are "both very happy" after having called off their engagement. "It's for the best," he wrote. "Thanks for your kind words. Now about that new album..." (Bellamy told Rolling Stone last year the band was planning to release a new, stripped down album sometime in 2015.) Music won't be the star's only post-split focus, though....

As the throngs of festivalgoers converge on Indio, California,Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is getting into full-swing. And the lineup of musical acts this year truly has something for everyone.
While all of the artists are definitely worth checking out, here are five performances that any self-respecting fan of good music needs to experience.
1. Ellie Goulding
She’s been slowly climbing her way to notoriety here in the States, and Ellie Goulding has finally reached bona fide ‘pop-star-with-artistic-integrity’ status. She writes her own stuff, plays many of her own instruments and has a voice that is both unique and accessible. Plus, there are rumors going around that she broke Ed Sheeran’s heart so brutally that he wrote a song about it called “Don’t.”
2. Outkast

With a number two spot on the Us charts, domination in their native England, and an upcoming over-the-top tour, you would think that the men behind Muse would be satisfied.
Not so much.
In an interview withThe Daily Star, Matt Bellamy seemed far from content with their new album, "The 2nd Law." “I’m disappointed that we don’t have many acoustic tracks, more quiet moments," he said. “When I left the studio after having laid the foundations for the single 'Madness' it was sparse. A source told The Mirror: "It's all hush-hush and the boys have been sworn to secrecy. But they've been at rehearsals and can't wait to do their bit. It will be an unforgettable occasion and they feel privileged to be part of it."

Muse have confirmed they will perform at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony. Drummer Dom Howard told NME that Muse will play 'Survival', which has become the theme for the London Summer Olympic Games. "I'm happy with the song. It's a proper Muse song. It's not something we did for the Olympics," Howard revealed. He further explained: "They sowed a seed by asking us to do some music but then five months went by. We showed them a few songs when they asked us about [playing the] closing ceremony and they loved (more)...

British rockers Muse have slowly but surely been teasing us with bits of information about their upcoming effort The 2nd Law, and the trio has now finally revealed the peculiar album artwork for the release.
No, that’s not the eye of a needle being threaded, rather it’s an image that was taken from the Human Connectome Project, which literally shows the pathways of the human brain. The five-year project built a “network map” of that human brain and its connectivity to the human body, which will help with research into disorders on autism, Alzheimer’s disease and schizophrenia.
It's undeniably a rather striking image and one that is only possible to capture thanks to our modern day technology. Check it out:
Fans have likely been hearing plenty of Muse lately as the band’s new track “Survival” was chosen as the official song of the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Time to dust off those "hey, electronic dance music is really big" stories: Brit rock all-stars Muse were inspired after going to a recent Skrillex concert and wrote a song about the experience.
The track, "The 2nd Law: Unstoppable," is used in Muse's album promo trailer (available above). In an interview with NME, the band describes what it was like to stop by one of Sonny Moore's notoriously high-octane dubstep shows.
"We went to see Skrillex in Camden around October," drummer Dom Howard told the mag. "We went, 'F--k, it's so heavy,' loved it. It was like a full metal gig, they had circles of death, people were moshing, I hadn't seen a reaction like that to electronic music before. We took inspiration and came up with 'The 2nd Law: Unsustainable'."
But, being Muse, the band didn't want to just produce an electronic track. Their solution? Make a dubstep song with live instruments.

It's presently impossible to watch any batch of trailers in a cinema or 45 seconds of youth-geared television without being met with the lurching wubs of dubstep. Theatrical English stadium-rockers Muse, perhaps tired of your Radiohead and Queen comparisons (guilty!), are jumping aboard the trend, citing 24-year-old dubstep hero Skrillex as their spirit guide. (Quick influence report on young Skrill: He's contributing to a Disney film and last year co-produced Korn's bizarre dubstep dalliance.) Muse drummer Dom Howard said of the trio's trip to see Skrillex, née Sonny Moore, perform: "We went, 'Fuck, it's so heavy,' loved it. It was like a full metal gig, they had circles of death, people were moshing, I hadn't seen a reaction like that to electronic music before. We took inspiration and came up with 'The 2nd Law: Unsustainable.'" Which is likely a key song from Muse's sixth LP, as the effort is titled The 2nd Law.

When we got our first taste of Muse’s upcoming sixth studio album, The 2nd Law, we were surprised by the inclusion of dubstep. Now, for those curious how that came about, look no further than the dubstep king Skrillex.
The British rockers have revealed that the album’s first single “Unsustainable” was written promptly after seeing a Skrillex show.
''We went to see Skrillex in Camden around October. We went, 'F**k, it's so heavy', loved it,” drummer Dominic Howard told NME. ''It was like a full metal gig, they had the circles of death, people were moshing, I hadn't seen a reaction like that to electronic music before. We took inspiration and came up with 'Unsustainable.'"
Singer Matt Bellamy was equally enthusiastic about what he witnessed, saying, ''The mosh pit has moved from guitars and gone towards the laptop, so with that song we're...

Matt Bellamy has revealed that he has been playing music to his unborn child. The 32-year-old Muse frontman, who is expecting a baby with Hollywood actress Kate Hudson later this year, said that he wants to "make the baby kick" with his serenading. Bellamy told The Mirror: "I'm already getting the vibraphone out and the Wurlitzer - these nice sort of twinkling high nice sort of mellow sounds that makes the baby kick and stuff. So I've got a feeling I'll incorporate those sounds into the next album a little bit." His bandmate Dominic Howard joked: "Maybe he's going to start (more)...

Muse have revealed that they will return next year with a "softer" new sound. The 'Knights of Cydonia' band, who won the 'International Achievement' prize at yesterday's Ivor Novello Awards, said that they are planning the follow-up to their 2009 chart-topping record The Resistance. Speaking about work on the new album, drummer Dominic Howard told NME: "Matt Bellamy showed me a few chords recently. Who knows, it might be softer rock, but then it's up to me and Chris to make it heavy again. A heavy rock lullaby! But I'm sure it will move forward in some way." (more)...

Best Rock Album winners are thinking about lullabies for new album
By James Montgomery

Los Angeles — Minutes after winning their first-ever Grammy Award (for Best Rock Album, in case you're keeping score at home), Muse's Matthew Bellamy and Dominic Howard stood backstage at the Staples Center, holding a replica of their brand-new Golden Gramophone — "the real one's in the mail," Bellamy laughed — and looking very much like their heads might explode at any second.
Because, really, after a year in which they finally, totally conquered U.S. audiences with their Resistance album and singles like "Uprising" and "Undisclosed Desires," winning a Grammy is pretty much the capper on a thoroughly amazing year for the trio.
"I never expected to win something like this in America," Bellamy beamed. "It's probably the biggest, most important music award in the world, and it's a great honor.

MTV has a quick little look into Muse’s performance tonight at the Grammy Awards. Muse rocked the Grammys with Uprising, even bringing in “mini” towers like the ones they tour with and some fantastic new graphics for the screens. Check out more below:
MTV Shows
Standing atop television screens elevated above the stage, Matthew Bellamy — donning a sparkly white suit and playing a double-neck guitar — and his fellow bandmembers sounded just as good live as they do on their now Grammy-winning album The Resistance.
In what felt like a possible “Soy Bomb” moment, a security guard fought with a man onstage, but it turned out to be part of an anarchic scene to go along with the anti-authoritarian track.
Later, as the hard-rocking English trio sang lyrics such as, “They will not control us/ We will be victorious,” images of American currency and Prince Charles and Camilla Bowles were lit ablaze by the onstage extras for a fiery, if not overtly political, finale.
Less than half an hour later, Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard, whose band saw a massive rise in popularity in the States over the past few years, would return to the Grammy stage to receive the Best Rock Album award.

Words do not express how happy I was to see Muse tonight! I loved the new graphics and the dancer/demonstrators were a cool addition.

After those unquestionably rousing performances from the women of the Aretha Franklin medley, Lady Gaga, and Miranda Lambert, the 2011 Grammys needed a little bit of rock and roll.
Cue this year's Best Rock Album winners Muse, who, as the evening's first males to perform on the stage, kicked in to their radio rotation-heavy anthem, "Uprising."

A little brother or sister is on the way for Ryder, Kate Hudson's son with ex-husband Chris Robinson! But who is Matthew Bellamy, the lucky father-to-be?
Apparently Hudson has a type, because like Robinson, Bellamy is the frontman of a band - Muse. The 32-year-old rocker was born in Cambridge, England and formed Muse in 1994 with Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard.
They've got the distinguished honor of being the first band to sell out London's Wembley Stadium, and their most recent record, 2009's "The Resistance," debuted at number 3 on the Billboard Charts.
At 5'7", Bellamy may be a little on the short side, but it hasn't stopped him from being listed on plenty of "Sexiest" lists in everything from Cosmo magazine to the 2007 NME Awards. These days, Bellamy and the band are looking forward to opening for U2 at several shows in South America this spring.

Despite rumor that Justin Bieber was not the real winner of Artist of the Year at the recent American Music Awards, fellow celebrities like Sean Garrett and Muse have nothing but good words for the young star. They agreed that the Canadian singer is now the hottest guy in the game.
