Alison Steadman will front an ITV documentary about the Shetland Islands, it has been announced.
The Gavin and Stacey actress will explore the area and wildlife in a special ITV documentary that will air later this year.
An avid bird watcher and patron for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (Rspb), Steadman will visit colonies of rare birds such as gannets and puffins.
"I'm thrilled to be exploring some incredible wildlife against the stunning backdrop of Shetland - a place I have been longing to explore for over 20 years," Steadman revealed.
"Shetland is renowned for its seabird colonies, including some rare and beautiful breeds."
Commissioned by ITV's Katy Thorogood and Richard Klein, the Shetland documentary will be executive produced by Melanie Leach, Juliet Rice and Dan Adamson for Twofour.
Later this year, Steadman will appear in BBC's upcoming five-part drama series titled The Secrets.
