Warning: The following Q&A contains major spoilers for The Blacklist‘s Season 5 fall finale. Proceed with caution.
During its four previous seasons, The Blacklist put Tom Keen through the physical and emotional wringer time and again — and he somehow survived all of it.
Getting tortured and stabbed in the pilot episode? No problem. Tied up and left to waste away on a boat in Season 2? Piece of cake. Chased by assassins at his own Season 3 wedding? Bring. It. On. (He even survived the cancellation of his spinoff series, which is perhaps the most impressive of all.)

3.8 First Wife
Well, I suppose there are probably worse ways to find out about your husband's other wife, but not many. The other shoe dropped on the latest episode of Outlander, and it made for some emotionally-riveting television. After last week's instalment, which felt like phoning it in for this character-driven drama, Outlander delved deeper into the complications of reuniting with someone you love after two decades apart. First Wife wasn't always pretty, but it was always true.
Following the burning of Jamie's print shop, Claire and Jamie return home to Lallybroch with Young Ian in tow. But Claire's homecoming is not as simple as she might have liked, which is...

In the chaotic carnage of the apocalypse, can enemies come together to outlive the living dead? We'll find out when Madison opens the gates of Broke Jaw Ranch to The Nation, and with the mid-season 3 premiere episode airing September 10th on AMC, I had the great pleasure of speaking with Dave Erickson about the back half of his final season as Fear The Walking Dead showrunner (he'll be busy developing another series for AMC), including the deepening divide between Madison and her children, tense times at Broke Jaw Ranch, and the aftereffects of a critical kill.
Congratulations on the first half of season 3, which was really timely and compelling television. Now we’re seeing [Qaletqa] Walker’s people moving into Broke Jaw ranch and everyone is going to have to try and co-exist peacefully, which feels timely with current events right now. Did real life events impact the writers’ room for this season?...

Tim Roth leads an excellent cast in unpredictable new Sky Atlantic revenge drama Tin Star, out now…
“It’s the disposal,” says Tim Roth. “The killing isn’t the problem, it’s the disposal that’s the problem. You run out of space.” The storage issues faced by serial killers aren’t something to which many of us will have devoted much thought. Roth has. Reassuringly, he’s had reason to thanks to his recent sinister role as real-life murderer Reg Christie in BBC drama Rillington Place. “Charming fella” he jokes.

The Secretary of State became a victim of sexual assault when President Datu Andrada groped her. As a woman, Andrada’s behavior disgusts me. How can a leader of a country do that to another country’s official? I applauded Elizabeth for breaking his nose. After the international incident, Elizabeth wanted to keep quiet about it. She doesn’t want to jeopardize the Singapore Interchange. I commend her for wanting to go with the greater good concept, but Nadine is right. If

The actor best known for playing Han Solo in the Star Wars films almost had a potentially fatal plane crash earlier this week. NBC is reporting, that after air traffic control informed Ford to land on a runway at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, Ford mistakenly landed it on a close by taxiway (a violation of Faa policy), flying dangerously close to a parked American Airlines Jet with 110 passengers and 6 crew members on board. The 74 year old Ford, was heard asking the air traffic controllers, "Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?”
It should be noted that both Ford's publicist, Ina Treciokas, declined to comment and that a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration, Ian Gregor, couldn't confirm if it was indeed Ford piloting the single-engine plane. However, the spokesman did confirm that the pilot had the proper landing instructions and read them back to control.

I missed Cher.
This was Thursday night last week, at a rally in Manhattan’s Columbus Circle outside of a Trump hotel. I went, as I often do, to put my body on the line for something in which I believe. In this case, I wanted to stand with my fellow New Yorkers to express my horror about the Inauguration taking place the next day.
I stood there for about an hour. A woman sang, beautifully. Rosie Perez welcomed us. Alec Baldwin did his Trump impression. Steve Buscemi talked. New York City mayor Bill deBlasio spoke, followed by the mayor of Minneapolis. Michael Moore was very funny, but at this point, my back started to hurt, and I decided that I had been seen enough to make my statement.
Andy Warhol famously said that, in the future, everyone would be famous for 15 minutes. He did not explain why we should care.

Are we on the verge of the Bot-apocalyspe? Will artificial intelligence take over the world and find humans unnecessary?
No, we’re not talking about a bad sci-fi movie, we’re talking about Bones Season 12 Episode 2.
In Ami’s defense, she was kind of cute, for a robot. I loved the way she could read a person’s body language and facial expressions and determine what they were feeling.
Can they make an app for that? What if we could all scan one another and know what someone is feeling instead of having to guess? I just don’t know if that would help us understand one another better or cause more hurt feelings than it avoids.
If anything, this installment showed that technology in itself is not good or bad, it’s how humans choose to use it.
Ian’s artificial intelligence could have been made into robots to help autistic children,...

But the idea never lands because Nerve lacks the, well, nerve to follow through on its convictions. Star Wars’ scruffy-lookin’ nerf herder, Mr Han Solo, is getting his own movie. Here’s what we know...
Possible spoilers (we're guessing, though) lie ahead for Rogue One, and for the Han Solo movie.
So, Han Solo is getting a spin-off movie. As part of Disney’s cinematic expansion of the Star Wars saga, a prequel film is now in development to explore the backstory of Harrison Ford’s iconic war hero/smuggler. The only cast member currently confirmed is Alden Ehrenreich, who has been handed some very big shoes/cool black waistcoats to fill as the new Han Solo.
And before you dismiss this movie as a bad idea, it’s worth remembering that Phil Lord and Chris Miller are the guys directing it. They’ve already brought us Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, the 21 Jump Street revival and The Lego Movie. If there’s...

AMC has released a promo still for their upcoming small-screen take on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s ultra-violent (and seriously messed up in various other ways) comic series, Preacher, and it gives us a new look at Jesse Custer’s Irish vampire pal, Cassidy, which should make fans of the source material very happy indeed.
Aside from a few brief glimpses in the trailers, this is the first time we’ve seen Cassidy wearing his trademark shades, and flashing the equal-parts terrifying and hilarious grin he’s known for.
In addition, the network has announced that we’ll be getting all-new look at the show during the season 2 premiere of Fear The Walking Dead. Whether that’s a full trailer, TV promo or an actual clip remains to be seen, but we’re certainly excited.
Preacher also stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse, Ian Colleti as Eugene “Arseface” Root, W. Earl Brown...

The Great British Bake Off returned last night with more tent trauma as the amateurs tackled biscuits. And no, we're not talking slapdash cookies - we're on about beautiful biscotti, refined arlettes and one of the most ridiculous showstoppers ever.
As always, there were some brilliant moments during the episode - here's the highlights:
1. Paul Hollywood's cheeky little smile (exhibit A).
"Mary would probably go for cranberry, hazelnut and chocolate biscotti. If I was making it, I'd go for cranberry, hazelnut and chocolate." So cheeky.
2. Mat acknowledging the problems in his recipe design.
"I gave these to a guy at work and he said it was the best biscotti he'd ever eaten. I don't think he's ever eaten biscotti before."
3. Tamal's nerves leading to our first innuendo of the night.
"It is very wet. Is everybody else's not? Ooooh dear."
4. Mary's response to Ian announcing he was making biscotti flavoured with rosemary.

All of Fiona’s time away from home this season on Shameless comes back to bite her in the backside on Sunday night’s finale.
With Carl in juvie, Ian on the lam with Monica, and Debbie having sex under her own roof, Fiona wonders if she could be failing any more at raising these kids. Yes, things are looking pretty dire for the Gallaghers, and we haven’t even gotten to Fi’s own messy love life yet.

The Show | Justified
The Episode | “Sounding”
The Airdate | Feb. 17, 2015
The Performance | As FX’s Kentucky-fried drama unspools its farewell run, steering Raylan and Boyd toward a final showdown, Ava Crowder is woefully caught in the middle — and this week, you deeply felt it via Carter’s performance.
As much as acting can be about words and how they are spoken, Carter demonstrated the power of a furled brow or pursed lips. Take the breakfast scene, where Ava’s face barely conceals high anxiety as she engages in...

The 100 returns to Mount Weather for some mother/daughter tension in this week's episode...
This review contains spoilers.
2.11 Coup De Grace
The second season of The 100 began with Mount Weather, a place we knew nothing of instantly expanding the universe that the show had set up for itself in its short first season, but since then the world has exploded in every direction, demonstrated best by the opening credits that now map Earth as we and the Sky People currently know it.
But in dealing with all of that, we haven’t actually been able to spend as much time in Mount Weather as we might have liked, our glimpses limited to watching scientists hatch evil schemes and a group of B-characters arguing about how to get out. It hasn’t outworn its welcome yet mostly due to limited screen time, but the time for something huge to happen was fast approaching.
