"That's a chance I'm willing to take." Available to watch on Tubi already is an action western rip-off spoof movie called Butch Cassidy & The Wild Bunch, from the Sharknado director Anthony C. Ferrante. One of The Asylum's latest offerings, this western combines the title of tow different classics - Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) and The Wild Bunch (1969). When Butch Cassidy and his colorful band of outlaws commit a series of high-profile heists, including a train robbery, a posse of newly-hired guns and seasoned killers working for the Pinkerton Detective Agency are tasked with taking down Cassidy and his rowdy gang. Starring Ross Jirgl, Jeffrey Combs, Bruce Dern, Jilon VanOver, Nikki Leigh, Dee Wallace, Geoff Meed, Alex Knight, and Megan Hensley. Yeah this looks as bad as you're expecting, maybe even worse, but that's exactly what The Asylum is going for every time. How trashy can they make it?...

Stars: Jilon VanOver, Eddie Spears, Tony Denison, Jon Proudstar, Jessie Prez, Rachel Cerda | Written and Directed by Steve Laughlin
Deep Woods, the first feature from writer/director Steve Laughlin, begins in quite a different location, the opulent chrome and glass offices of the architectural firm owned by Ty Ellsworth. Ty has, seemingly out of the blue, got in touch with his college buddy Nick and suggested a hunting trip. Ty wants to “experience nature before it’s paved over” and since Nick is both Native American and a game warden, who better to go with?
For the film’s first half hour, Laughlin gives us a contrast between the world Ty knows and the rural, backwoods area Nick lives in. A tribal dance, talk of wendigos, a run-in with some loggers at a bar and of course, warnings from Sheriff Hadden to stay on the trails once they’re in the woods.

Few stories in American history have such a strange dynamic of awareness and ignorance, and that fact alone gives Hatfields & McCoys the potential to set records for a mini-series that focuses on historic fact (as best they’re known). While virtually everyone knows about the dueling families, not many are truly familiar with all the details, or the seriousness of the feud’s escalation.
Beginning May 28th, History brings you a three-part event that takes you through the entire feud, from a time when the two patriarchs were friends, all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court’s intervention in the hostilities which had brought West Virginia and Kentucky to the brink of their own war.
As you might imagine (or at least, hope), being that the show is airing on History, the strength of the series comes from its commitment to accuracy. It’s hard to find fault...
