Director Pearry Teo is currently in production on another unannounced film, but some new art is available for his previous horror showing "Necromentia." To be released this year "Necomentia," which has been reviewed here, will be available for horror fans with an interest in Teo's original work. Dark and ominous this film will push one's boundaries with a shock and awe tactic full of blood, gore and ominous prophecies. Truly a remarkable film, some of the darkness from the film can be seen here to please those with an interest of the underworld. When an exact release date becomes available it will be posted here. A love story set in the backdrop of hell "Necromentia" is an unreleased horror feature that offers three intertwined stories in a non-linear story-telling fashion. Centering around the characters Morbius, Hagen, and Travis each character interacts with the others while searching for love despite the pain of betrayal and the hopelessness of recovery from dementia. From the puzzling script of Stephanie Joyce (April's Last) and the creative direction of Pearry Theo (The Gene Generation) "Necromentia" is a horrifying glimpse at death magic and the underworld.

Some of the DVD artwork for "Necromentia," along with an update on international distribution has come this way. The film will be distributed throughout the United Kingdom with the support of G2 Pictures; as well, further distribution in Greece and the Middle-East will be handled by Village Roadshow and Eagle Films respectively. "Necromentia," which stars Layton Matthews, Chad Grimes, Santiago Craig, and Katherine Pawlak is now providing several movie stills from the feature some of which can be found here. The initial title for the film was "The 13th Hour: Necromentia," and has been shortened to its current form "Necromentia." Director Pearry Teo unleashes graphic film "Necromentia," for horror film fans in France this May 16 and North America later this year, likely October '09 from one source. A very dark film dealing with portals to the other world "Necromentia," highlights the makeup of Kim Collea (Autopsy, Ironman) and despite a moderate budget of $300,000 looks quite shocking. Potentially available in North America this Fall 2009 initial fan reaction to the promotional material, including trailer and several posters, is positive.
