It was Princess Eugenie's royal wedding on Friday, Oct. 12, but all eyes were on Kate Middleton for a very embarassing reason! The Duchess of Cambridge got dangerously close to having a major wardrobe malfunction thanks to the dramatic gusts of wind at St. George's Chapel. The wind was 21 mph on Eugenie's big day in Windsor, England, and it nearly blew Kate's stunning magenta dress up, Marilyn Monroe-style. Luckily, the hem stopped just above the knee so we never caught a glimpse of Prince William's wife's unmentionables, and she seemed to laugh it off while smoothing out her pleats. It looks like Sophie, Countess of Wessex, also had an eye out for Kate, as she looked horrified just as Kate prevented the mishap. In not so surprising news, Kate Middleton stepped out wearing Alexander McQueen once again! The Duchess of Cambridge attended Princess Eugenie's royal wedding on Oct. 12 wearing a raspberry, knee-length dress and a matching Philip Treacy fascinator from the designer, and let's just say: she looks incredible for just having welcomed a baby five months ago! Kate, 36, accessorized her the form-fitting, long-sleeved number with a pretty pair of velvet Prada heels, a velvet clutch, and a pair of sparkly, hanging earrings. The mom-of-three is a big fan of Alexander McQueen. So it's no surprise that when an optical illusion photo showing Meghan with blonde hair recently went viral, everyone freaked out. When the 37-year-old and her hubby, Harry, 33, stepped out to attend the Prince's childhood friend Charlie Van Straubenzee's wedding to Daisy Jenks on Aug. 4, Meghan looked perfectly polished in a color-blocked Club Monaco dress and donned a matching Philip Treacy fascinator atop her signature wavy hair. Hats on for the Duchess of Sussex! As fashion etiquette decrees, the royal family has a long-standing relationship with hats and fascinators. Expect the very fancy toppers for weddings and ceremonies and more practical variations just to keep the sun out of their eyes, like at Wimbledon or the Queen's Cup. It's not a dress code Americans live by, but wearing a hat is something Meghan Markle has grown accustomed to—and, boy, has she mastered it. Her hat selects aren't relegated to formal fascinators with swirly tendrils; though, the duchess has made several appearances in the Philip Treacy creations the royal family seems to love. In actuality, Meghan's collection includes the...

Meghan Markle Wows on Her 37th Birthday at Prince Harry's Childhood Friend's Wedding — See the Pics!
Happy Birthday, Meghan Markle! The new Duchess of Sussex celebrated her 37th birthday by attending the wedding of Daisy Jenks, 27, and Charlie Van Straubenzee, 30. She stepped out alongside her husband, Prince Harry, at Saint Mary The Virgin Church on Saturday, Aug. 4 in Frensham, England — and looked absolutely stunning. The former Suits actress wore a sleeveless navy Club Monaco dress with a built-in pleated skirt, a Philip Treacy hat, and Aquazzura pumps. Unfortunately, instead of celebrating Meghan's big day, Harry was chosen as van Straubenzee's best man. The two attended the same prep school and have been good friends ever since. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Recently, rumors have been swirling that the newlyweds are expecting their first child together. Harry's 2017 Audi RS6 Avant went up for sale on Auto Trader, and now royal fans think he may be selling his fancy sports car for a more family-friendly vehicle. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are back in wedding mode while celebrating another special occasion. The Duchess and Duke of Sussex attended his longtime friend Charlie van Straubenzee's wedding to Daisy Jenks in Surrey, England on Saturday, which is Meghan's 37th birthday and her first as a member of the royal family. Harry served as best man. Meghan sported a black, dark gray, white and pale pink, short sleeve, V-neck, over-the-knee, pleated, belted, color block Club Monaco Shoanah shirt dress, which retails for $328, paired with black Aquazzura slingback pumps and a matching Philip Treacy hat, and also wore her hair down. Exactly one month after the world watched the royal wedding, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a surprise appearance in England Tuesday for the Royal Ascot opener. Queen Elizabeth II, her family and her guests will arrive at 2 p.m. each day during the royal procession, where they'll be driven in horse-drawn carriages down the race track and into the pageant ring. It's the first time Meghan has attended the annual event, which began in 1768. She wore a Givenchy dress—the same label she wore for her wedding day—and a Philip Treacy fascinator. She likely impressed Queen Elizabeth II, who signs off on every detail, including the dress code. Queen Elizabeth II arrived in the first carriage, joined by...

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle made her first appearance on Buckingham Palace's iconic balcony for Trooping the Colour on Saturday, June 9, and it appears that Prince Harry's wife is still finding her feet in her new role. Dressed in a stunning off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera dress and a hat by Philip Treacy, the 36-year-old certainly looked the part for the display of pomp and pageantry to mark Queen Elizabeth's 92nd birthday. However, a lip reader has revealed that despite seeming composed, Meghan was nervous during the event and she let her husband know. At one point, when Meghan was standing behind Kate Middleton on the balcony, Harry asked Meghan if she was doing ok, to which she replied, "Yeah," a lip reading expert told the UK's Mirror. In a second exchange, Meghan admitted to her husband that she was nervous. The pair looked at each other and the new royal blurted out "nervous,...

Prince Harry's new wife Meghan Markle was pretty in pink and appeared to break royal protocol again with her outfit at her first Trooping the Colour parade, where she made her Buckingham Palace debut. At the annual event, a belated birthday celebrating for Queen Elizabeth II, who turned 92 in April, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, wore a blush, off-the-shoulder, buttoned Carolina Herrera skirt suit, paired with a Philip Treacy hat. Members of the royal family typically cover their shoulders at royal events. "Meghan looked very much regally appropriate for such an important royal event," Amanda Dishaw of Meghan's Mirror told E! News. "Wearing a chic pink bespoke Carolina Herrera skirt...

It's official! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are now husband and wife — but their sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, may have stolen the show. At least a small piece of it. Prince William's wife — who just gave birth to Prince Louis last month — threw major side-eye at Camilla Parker Bowles, and people are living for it. The two sat side-by-side at St George's Chapel in Windsor for the big day, and there appeared to be some tension between the Duchess of Cambridge and her step-mother-in-law. Of course, the camera may have just caught her at a bad time! Scroll below to see the most hilarious tweets. I'm here for Kate Middleton's side-eye game with her (step)mother in-law!

Worn like a royal wedding veteran. Kate Middleton supported her in-laws, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, arriving to St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle Saturday afternoon in a primrose-yellow Alexander McQueen silk coat. In traditional Kate fashion, the coat dress was tailored to perfection. She paired the springtime look with a matching-yet-oversize Philip Treacy hat, which featured florals, special-edition lemon quartz and diamond pear and oval drop earrings by Kiki McDonough and Jimmy Choo heels. The Duchess of Cambridge wore her hair down, while escorting two adorable flower girls into the chapel. Of course, Kate is no stranger to royal wedding etiquette. She wore...

The talk-show queen has arrived! Oprah Winfrey arrived at St. George's Chapel in Windsor on Saturday, where the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will take place. Winfrey wore a long-sleeved, pink Stella McCartney dress and matching Philip Treacy hat. She accessorized her look with a purse and heels. She also arrived wearing sunglasses. According to her best friend and CBS This Morning host Gayle King, Winfrey had a bit of a fashion emergency and had to switch her dress at the last minute because it was too white—a color traditionally reserved for the bride. Winfrey was one of the first celebrity guests to arrive at the Windsor Castle chapel. Winfrey was told she had to...

Priyanka Chopra is getting ready to watch Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tie the knot. Yesterday, the Quantico star posted a photo of her flying to London for the upcoming nuptials. While the rest of her ensemble is still a mystery, the actress seems to have just finalized her look. Earlier this month, the actress appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen and told the host she didn't have her dress yet. "I haven't even [been] fitted yet," she confessed two weeks ago. The first on-screen credit of “Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami” reads: “Hats designed by Philip Treacy.” It’s an entirely appropriate announcement of values, a reminder that style and substance are indistinguishable for Jones, the film’s enduring singer-actor-model-muse.
Treacy, millinery king of the outlandish fascinator (think Kate and William’s wedding and the late Isabella Blow), has no interest in understatement, and neither does the outlandishly fascinating woman whose body becomes a collaborating force with his work.
In addition to those never-wrong hat decisions, what follows in the winning documentary from Sophie Fiennes (“The Pervert’s Guide to Ideology”) is two hours of contrasts that inform one another: sweat-inducing concert footage, intimate family reunion moments, steel-spine business negotiations, recording-studio drama, and a steadfast commitment to personal glamour that sees its subject in a Parisian hotel suite enjoying a champagne breakfast wearing nothing but a fur coat, as though this were a daily occurrence. (And it very well could be.)

At age 69, Jones remains an unclassifiable icon, a tireless CEO of her own aesthetic, and a willful iconoclast. We witness the recording artist who scolds legendary Jamaican music producer Robbie Shakespeare for not showing up to the studio when she needs him, the cultural force who mocks contemporary audiences’ unwillingness to party all night long, and the grandmother who coos over her son’s newborn.
We’re treated to the Studio 54 legend who harnessed a hurricane’s worth of nerve and seamlessly transitioned into 80s New Wave diva status, taking her worshipful Lgbtq audience along for the ride without ever succumbing to fuzzy nostalgia as the years went by. We travel with the devoted family member going home to Jamaica who picks up the beat of a lived-in domesticity with people who’ve known her since childhood. She’s somewhat more than one documentary can contain.
Fiennes knows this and doesn’t try to overstuff the film. Rather than cram seven decades’ worth of biographical events into 120 minutes — there’s a glimpse of Andy Warhol but you can forget learning anything new about Dolph Lundgren — Fiennes approaches Jones’ unique position with a clear, unsentimental directness, unburdened with shaping an easy narrative or lazy hagiography, resolutely concerned with the present. This means that longtime fans will enjoy a relatively demystifying glimpse into Jones’ private life as she lives it today, and newcomers will find themselves pleasantly confused.

The filmmaker allows Jones the space to be the crowd-pleasing singer in the concert hall whose expectations for herself “are much higher than [that of the audience],” the artist in the “bloodlight” of the recording studio working to create relevant new music, and the hometown hero sharing bami (a type of bread) with elderly Jamaican neighbors.
Jones, for her part, makes no qualitative distinctions between the spaces she occupies, not in the worlds of music, fashion, and art, nor in her day-to-day tending of a family and business. When she goes to a Jamaican church service and then, in another sequence, performs “Amazing Grace” with an attitude that may or may not be a little self-aggrandizing, it all feels exactly right. Fiennes frames Jones in collaboration with the artist’s own fluidly presentational sense of self: her shifting style, and often her very accent, dependent on her audience and location, as though performance is everything she knows.

And because this sort of existence requires tenacity over the long haul, Jones is never without a point of view. She’s shown fighting a French TV producer who not only wants her to take off her face-obscuring hat, but also subjects her to unappealing set design and sexy background dancers. (“We are visual artists. We know what things look like,” she sniffs, the shade finely calibrated for the moment.) She’s seen ruminating on the abusive religious childhood foundations of her self-described “scary” public persona, all the while dealing tenderly with that same Pentecostal family.
It’s a life — and now a film about a life — built from disparate strands of experience, but one that makes sense exactly because she is Grace Jones, and being Grace Jones means synthesizing Grace Jones from all available material. That she continues to share this with audiences is a bonding act of disco generosity, one only appreciated with repeated nights out dancing to “Pull Up to The Bumper.”
And that’s not really something a documentary can do for you. Like Jones herself, you have to put in those late hours on your own.

Kate Middleton is known for recycling fashion pieces, and she, once again, looked to some favorite items from her wardrobe for a weekend walk to church ahead of her 36th birthday.
Princess Kate, who is currently expecting her third child, was all smiles as she stepped out with husband Prince William and his grandfather Prince Philip heading to St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham for Sunday services.
To brave the January chill, she opted for a tweed coat with gold buttons that reached past her knees (shop similar styles here and here) and offered only a hint of her growing baby bump.

Kate Middleton might have debuted two new designer coats this weekend, but she also recycled an 11-year-old hat!
The classic wide-brimmed, structural black hat from British milliner Philip Treacy was first worn by Kate back in 2006 for Prince William’s passing-out parade at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. She then wore it again for the Remembrance Sunday service in 2012 — and on Sunday, the expectant royal mom dusted it off once more, at the very same service at London’s Whitehall.

If you can count on one person to take the Met Gala dress code seriously, it’s Sarah Jessica Parker. Every year she wears something that perfectly honors the exhibit (usually accented with a towering headpiece) because, as she puts, she’s a “stickler for the theme.” So with something as avant-garde as “Rei Kawakubo / Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between,” we had no doubt she’d respect the theme in her own creative way.

Which red carpet is your favorite?
If you said the Academy Awards or MTV Video Music Awards, that's cute, but you're wrong. Your favorite red carpet is the Met Gala, because it's the only red carpet that matters. It's an occasion to see stars wearing ensembles they could never get away with at any other awards show or black-tie event -- for better or worse.

But it was her gorgeous blowout that was the real showstopper — looking fuller and shinier than ever! Her bouncy dark curls were on full display as she made her way into the event.
